His saying, the Exalted: "And whoever disbelieves in the verses of Allah, then indeed Allah is swift in account."
3320 - My father narrated to us, Abu Hudhayfah reported to us, Shibl reported to us, from Ibn Abi Najih, from Mujahid regarding "And whoever disbelieves in the verses of Allah, then indeed Allah is swift in account," he said: His enumeration of them against them.
His saying, the Exalted: "Then if they argue with you"
3321 - al-Hasan b. Ahmad narrated to us, Musa b. Muhkam reported to us, 'Abd al-Kabir Abu Bakr al-Hanafi reported to us, 'Abbad b. Mansur reported to us, he said: I asked al-Hasan about His saying: "Then if they argue with you, say: I have submitted my face to Allah and [so have] those who follow me," and he said: If the Jews and the Christians argue with you, then say: I have submitted my face to Allah.
3322 - Muhammad b. Yahya narrated to us, Abu Ghassan informed us, Salamah reported to us, he said: Muhammad b. Ishaq said regarding His saying: "Then if they argue with you," i.e., what they bring of falsehood in their saying: We created, we did, we made, and we commanded; for it is a suspicion of falsehood, while they have already known what is in it of the truth.
His saying: "Say: I have submitted my face to Allah"
3323 - Through it, Ibn Ishaq said regarding His saying: "Say: I have submitted my face to Allah," i.e., to Him alone.
His saying, the Exalted: "And those who follow me"
3324 - al-Hasan b. Ahmad narrated to us, Musa b. Muhkam reported to us, 'Abd al-Kabir reported to us, 'Abbad b. Mansur reported to us, he said: I asked about His saying: "And those who follow me," he said: Let those who follow you say the same, and through it the Jews and the Christians disputed.
His saying, the Exalted: "And say to those who were given the Scripture and to the unlearned, 'Have you submitted?'"
3325 - Ahmad b. Muhammad b. Aslam mentioned, Ishaq b. Rahwayh reported to us, he said: I read to Abu Qurrah in his tafsir, from Ibn Jurayj regarding "And say to those who were given the Scripture," he said: The Jews and the Christians.

3326 - Muhammad b. Yahya narrated to us, Abu Ghassan informed us, Salamah reported to us, he said: Muhammad b. Ishaq said: His saying: "And say to those who were given the Scripture and to the unlearned"—those who have no scripture—"'Have you submitted?' Then if they submit, they have been guided; but if they turn away, then upon you is only the notification. And Allah is Seeing of [His] servants."
قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: وَمَنْ يَكْفُرْ بِآيَاتِ اللَّهِ فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ سَرِيعُ الْحِسَابِ
٣٣٢٠ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي، ثنا أَبُو حُذَيْفَةَ، ثنا شِبْلٌ، عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي نَجِيحٍ، عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ وَمَنْ يَكْفُرْ بِآيَاتِ اللَّهِ فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ سَرِيعُ الْحِسَابِ قَالَ: إِحْصَاؤُهُ عَلَيْهِمْ.
قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: فَإِنْ حَاجُّوكَ
٣٣٢١ - حَدَّثَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ، ثنا مُوسَى بْنُ مُحْكَمٍ، ثنا عَبْدُ الْكَبِيرِ أَبُو بَكْرٍ الْحَنَفِيُّ، ثنا عَبَّادُ بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ قَالَ: سَأَلْتُ الْحَسَنَ عَنْ قَوْلِهِ: فَإِنْ حَاجُّوكَ فَقُلْ أَسْلَمْتُ وَجْهِيَ لِلَّهِ وَمَنِ اتَّبَعَنِ فَقَالَ: إِنْ حَاجَّكَ الْيَهُودُ وَالنَّصَارَى فَقُلْ: أَسْلَمْتُ وَجْهِيَ لِلَّهِ.
٣٣٢٢ - حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى، أَنْبَأَ أَبُو غَسَّانَ، ثنا سَلَمَةُ قَالَ: قَالَ مُحَمَّدُ ابْنُ إِسْحَاقَ قَوْلُهُ: فَإِنْ حَاجُّوكَ أَيْ مَا يَأْتُونَ بِهِ مِنَ الْبَاطِلِ مِنْ قَوْلِهِمْ: خَلَقْنَا وَفَعَلْنَا وَجَعَلْنَا وَأَمَرْنَا فَإِنَّهَا شُبْهَةُ بَاطِلٍ قَدْ عَرَفُوا مَا فِيهَا مِنَ الْحَقِّ.
قوله: فَقُلْ أَسْلَمْتُ وَجْهِيَ لِلَّهِ
٣٣٢٣ - وَبِهِ قَالَ ابْنُ إِسْحَاقَ قَوْلُهُ: فَقُلْ أَسْلَمْتُ وَجْهِيَ لِلَّهِ أَيْ وَحْدَهُ.
قوله تَعَالَى: وَمَنِ اتَّبَعَنِ
٣٣٢٤ - حَدَّثَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ، ثنا مُوسَى بْنُ مُحْكَمٍ، ثنا عَبْدُ الْكَبِيرِ، ثنا عَبَّادُ بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ قَالَ: سَأَلْتُ عَنْ قَوْلِهِ: وَمَنِ اتَّبَعَنِ قَالَ: لِيَقُلْ مَنِ اتَّبَعَكَ مِثْلَ ذَلِكَ، وَبِهَا تَخَاصَمَ الْيَهُودُ وَالنَّصَارَى.
قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: وَقُلْ لِلَّذِينَ أُوتُوا الْكِتَابَ وَالأُمِّيِّينَ أَأَسْلَمْتُمْ
٣٣٢٥ - ذَكَرَ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ أَسْلَمَ، ثنا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ رَاهَوَيْهِ، قَالَ: قَرَأْتُ عَلَى أَبِي قُرَّةَ فِي تَفْسِيرِهِ، عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ وَقُلْ لِلَّذِينَ أُوتُوا الْكِتَابَ قال: الْيَهُودُ والنصارى.

٣٣٢٦ - حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى، أَنْبَأَ أَبُو غَسَّانَ، ثنا سَلَمَةُ قَالَ: قَالَ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ: قَوْلُهُ: وَقُلْ لِلَّذِينَ أُوتُوا الْكِتَابَ وَالأُمِّيِّينَ الَّذِينَ لَا كِتَابَ لَهُمْ أَأَسْلَمْتُمْ فَإِنْ أَسْلَمُوا فَقَدِ اهْتَدَوْا وَإِنْ تَوَلَّوْا فَإِنَّمَا عَلَيْكَ الْبَلَاغُ والله بصير بالعباد.
