His saying, the Exalted: "Say, if you conceal what is in your hearts or reveal it, Allah knows it."
3389 - Abu Zur'ah narrated to us, 'Amr b. Hammad reported to us, Asbat reported to us, from al-Suddi, meaning His saying: "Say, if you conceal what is in your hearts or reveal it, Allah knows it," for He informed them that He knows what they have kept secret of that and what they have declared. He said: "If you reveal anything or conceal it, verily Allah knows it."

He said to the Pen, before He created the creation, while He was upon the Throne: "Write!" The Pen said: "And what shall I write?" He said: "My knowledge of My creation until the Day of Resurrection." So the Pen wrote what was to be in the knowledge of Allah until the Day of Resurrection. That is why He says to the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace: "Verily Allah knows what is in the heavens and the earth."
