3480 - 'Amr b. 'Abd Allah al-Awdi narrated to us, Abu Usamah reported to us, from al-Nadr b. 'Arabi, from Mujahid regarding His saying: "Three days except by gesture," he said: Speech with the lips. Abu Muhammad said: Similar to this was narrated from 'Ikrimah and Khasif.
And the second aspect:
3481 - Abu Sa'id al-Ashajj narrated to us, Abu Ahmad reported to us, from Isra'il, from 'Ata' b. al-Sa'ib, from Sa'id b. Jubayr, he said: The indication [sign]. Abu Muhammad said: Similar to this was narrated from Abu 'Abd al-Rahman al-Sulami, al-Hasan, al-Dahhak, Muhammad b. Ka'b, Qatadah, al-Suddi, al-Rabi' b. Anas, and Zayd b. Aslam.
And the third aspect:
3482 - It was mentioned from Safwan b. 'Amr, from 'Abd al-Rahman b. Jubayr b. Nufayr regarding His saying: "Three days except by gesture," his tongue swelled in his mouth until it filled it, then Allah released it after three [days].
His saying: "And remember your Lord much."
3483 - My father narrated to us, Ibn Abi 'Umar reported to us, Sufyan reported to us, from Ibn Abi Najih, from Mujahid, meaning: "And remember your Lord much," he said: The servant is not among those who remember Allah much until he remembers Allah while standing and lying down.
3484 - My father narrated to us, Muhammad b. 'Umar Zunayj reported to us, Abu Tumaylah reported to us, Abu Ma'shar reported to us, from Muhammad b. Ka'b al-Qurazi, he said: If Allah had granted a concession to anyone to abandon remembrance, He would have granted it to Zakariyya. Allah the Exalted said: "That you will not speak to the people for three days except by gesture, and remember your Lord much."
[3485] Abu Zur'ah narrated to us, Ibrahim b. Musa reported to us, Ibn Abi Za'idah informed us, from 'Abd Allah b. Kathir, from Mujahid regarding His saying: "And exalt [Allah] in the evening and the morning," he said: The prescribed prayer.
His saying, the Exalted: "In the evening"
3486 - Hajjaj b. Hamzah narrated to us, Shababah reported to us, Warqa' reported to us, from Ibn Abi Najih, from Mujahid regarding His saying: "And exalt [Allah] in the evening," he said: The evening is the inclination of the sun until it sets.
