[His saying, the Exalted: And the Wisdom]
[The first interpretation]
3533 - Abu Sa'id al-Ashajj narrated to us, Asbat reported to us, Abu Bakr al-Hudhali reported to us, from al-Hasan, regarding the saying of Allah the Exalted, "And He will teach him the Scripture and the Wisdom," he said: The Wisdom is the Sunnah. Abu Muhammad said: The like of this has been narrated from Abu Malik, Muqatil b. Hayyan, and Qatadah.
And the second interpretation:
3534 - Ahmad b. 'Uthman b. Hakim narrated to us, Ahmad b. al-Mufaddal reported to us, Asbat reported to us, from al-Suddi, regarding his saying: "And the Wisdom," meaning: Prophethood.
And the third interpretation:
3535 - 'Ali b. al-Husayn narrated to us, Abu Hammam reported to us, Ibn Wahb informed us, Ibn Zayd b. Aslam narrated to me, from his father, who said: The Wisdom is the intellect (al-'aql) in religion.
His saying, the Exalted: "And the Torah and the Gospel."
3536 - My father narrated to us, Ahmad b. 'Abd al-Rahman al-Dashtaki reported to us, 'Abd Allah b. Abi Ja'far reported to us, from his father, from Qatadah, regarding his saying: "And the Torah and the Gospel," he said: 'Isa (Jesus) used to read the Torah and the Gospel.
3537 - My father narrated to us, al-Hasan b. al-Rabi' reported to us, 'Abd Allah b. Idris reported to us, Muhammad b. Ishaq reported to us regarding "And the Torah and the Gospel," meaning: A Book they had not heard of, which he brought to them; and a Book they had already heard of, which had passed and its knowledge had vanished from among them, so he restored it to them.
His saying, the Exalted: "And as a messenger to the Children of Israel."
3538 - Muhammad b. Yahya narrated to us, Abu Ghassan reported to us, Salamah reported to us, and he said: Muhammad b. Ishaq said regarding "And as a messenger to the Children of Israel," meaning: A messenger from Him to you.
His saying, the Exalted: "That I have come to you with a sign from your Lord."
3539 - Muhammad narrated to us, Abu Ghassan reported to us, Salamah reported to us, and he said: Muhammad b. Ishaq said: Meaning, he substantiates my prophethood with it.

٣٥٣٣ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو سَعِيدٍ الأَشَجُّ، ثنا أَسْبَاطٌ، ثنا أَبُو بَكْرٍ الْهُذَلِيُّ، عَنِ الْحَسَنِ فِي قَوْلِ اللَّهِ تَعَالَى وَيُعَلِّمُهُ الْكِتَابَ وَالْحِكْمَةَ قَالَ: الْحِكْمَةُ: السُّنَّةُ. قَالَ أَبُو مُحَمَّدٍ:
وَرُوِيَ عَنْ أَبِي مَالِكٍ، وَمُقَاتِلِ بْنِ حَيَّانَ، وَقَتَادَةَ نَحْوُ ذَلِكَ.
وَالْوَجْهُ الثَّانِي:
٣٥٣٤ - حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ حَكِيمٍ، ثنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ الْمُفَضَّلِ، ثنا أَسْبَاطٌ عَنِ السُّدِّيِّ: قَوْلَهُ: والحكمة يَعْنِي: النُّبُوَّةَ.
وَالْوَجْهُ الثَّالِثُ:
٣٥٣٥ - حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ الْحُسَيْنِ، ثنا أَبُو هَمَّامٍ، أنبأ ابْنُ وَهْبٍ، حَدَّثَنِي ابْنُ زَيْدِ بْنِ أَسْلَمَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ: الْحِكْمَةُ الْعَقْلُ فِي الدِّينِ.
قَولُهُ تَعَالَى: وَالتَّورَاةَ وَالْإِنْجِيلَ
٣٥٣٦ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي، ثنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الدَّشْتَكِيُّ، ثنا عبد الله ابن أَبِي جَعْفَرٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ قَوْلُهُ: والتوراة والإنجيل قَالَ: كَانَ عِيسَى يَقْرَأُ التَّوْرَاةَ وَالإِنْجِيلَ.
٣٥٣٧ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي، ثنا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ الرَّبِيعِ، ثنا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ إِدْرِيسَ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ والتوراة والإنجيل أَيْ: كِتَابٌ لَمْ يَسْمَعُوا بِهِ جَاءَهُمْ بِهِ، وَكِتَابٌ قَدْ سَمِعُوا بِهِ مَضَى وَدُرِسَ عِلْمُهُ مِنْ بَيْنِ أَظْهُرِهِمْ فَرَدَّهُ بِهِ عَلَيْهِمْ.
قَولُهُ تَعَالَى: وَرَسُولا إِلَى بَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ
٣٥٣٨ - حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى، أَنْبَأَ أَبُو غَسَّانَ، ثنا سَلَمَةُ قَالَ: قَالَ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ وَرَسُولا إِلَى بَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ أَيْ رسول مِنْهُ إِلَيْكُمْ.
قَولُهُ تَعَالَى: أَنِّي قَدْ جِئْتُكُمْ بِآيَةٍ مِنْ رَبِّكُمْ
٣٥٣٩ - حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدٌ، أَنْبَأَ أَبُو غَسَّانَ، ثنا سَلَمَةُ قَالَ: قَالَ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ أَيْ يُحِقُّ بِهَا نُبُوَّتِي.
