…shall always remain a group of my community dominant, not caring who opposes them until the command of Allah comes. Al-Nu'man said:
Regarding those who say that I attribute to the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, what he did not say, the verification of that is in the Book of Allah. Allah, the Mighty and Majestic, says: "And I will make those who follow you above those who disbelieve until the Day of Resurrection, then to Me is your return, so I will judge between you concerning that wherein you used to differ."
3592 - My father narrated to us, Ahmad b. 'Abd al-Rahman al-Dashtaki reported to us, 'Abd Allah b. Abi Ja'far al-Razi reported to us, from his father, from al-Rabi' b. Anas, regarding His saying: "And I will make those who follow you above those who disbelieve until the Day of Resurrection," they are the people of Islam who followed him upon his primordial nature (fitra), his religious path (milla), and his tradition (sunna); they shall always remain dominant over the people of polytheism until the Day of Resurrection.
And the second aspect:
3593 - My father narrated to us, 'Abd Allah b. Muhammad b. Yahya al-Da'if in Tarsus reported to us, 'Ali—meaning Ibn al-Hasan b. Shaqiq—reported to us, al-Husayn b. Waqid reported to us, Matar al-Warraq reported to us, from al-Hasan, regarding His saying:
"And I will make those who follow you above those who disbelieve until the Day of Resurrection," he said: They are the Muslims, and we are among them, and we are above those who disbelieve until the Day of Resurrection.
His saying, the Exalted: "Then to Me is your return"
3594 - 'Isam b. Rawwad narrated to us, Adam reported to us, Abu Ja'far al-Razi reported to us, from al-Rabi', from Abu al-'Aliyah: "Then to Me is your return," he said: They shall return to Him after life.
His saying, the Exalted: "Then as for those who disbelieve, I will punish them with a severe punishment in this world and the Hereafter, and they will have no helpers."
3595 - Abu Bakr b. Abi Musa narrated to us, Harun b. Hatim reported to us, 'Abd al-Rahman b. Abi Hammad reported to us, from Asbat b. Nasr, from al-Suddi, from Abu Malik, he said: They are the companions of the Fire who will be punished therein.
His saying, the Exalted: "And as for those who believed and did righteous deeds."
تَزَالُ طَائِفَةٌ مِنْ أُمَّتِي ظَاهِرِينَ لَا يُبَالُونَ مَنْ خَالَفَهُمْ حَتَّى يَأْتِيَ أَمْرُ اللَّهِ. قَالَ النُّعْمَانُ:
فِيمَنْ قَالَ إِنِّي أَقُولُ عَلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَا لَمْ يَقُلْ، فَإِنَّ تَصْدِيقَ ذَلِكَ فِي كِتَابِ اللَّهِ، قال اللَّهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ: وَجَاعِلُ الَّذِينَ اتَّبَعُوكَ فَوْقَ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا إِلَى يَوْمِ الْقِيَامَةِ ثُمَّ إِلَيَّ مَرْجِعُكُمْ فَأَحْكَمُ بَيْنَكُمْ فِيمَا كُنْتُمْ فِيهِ تَخْتَلِفُونَ
٣٥٩٢ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي، ثنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الدَّشْتَكِيُّ، ثنا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ أَبِي جَعْفَرٍ الرَّازِيُّ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنِ الرَّبِيعِ بْنِ أَنَسٍ فِي قَوْلِهِ: وَجَاعِلُ الَّذِينَ اتَّبَعُوكَ فَوْقَ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا إِلَى يَوْمِ الْقِيَامَةِ هُمْ أَهْلُ الإِسْلامِ الَّذِينَ اتَّبَعُوهُ عَلَى فِطْرَتِهِ وَمِلَّتِهِ وَسُنَّتِهِ، لَا يَزَالُونَ ظَاهِرِينَ عَلَى أَهْلِ الشِّرْكِ إِلَى يَوْمِ الْقِيَامَةِ.
وَالْوَجْهُ الثَّانِي:
٣٥٩٣ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي، ثنا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ يَحْيَى الضَّعِيفُ بِطَرَسُوسَ ثنا عَلِيُّ يَعْنِي ابْنَ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ شَقِيقٍ، ثنا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ وَاقِدٍ، ثنا مَطَرٌ الْوَرَّاقُ، عَنِ الْحَسَنِ قَوْلُهُ:
وَجَاعِلُ الَّذِينَ اتَّبَعُوكَ فَوْقَ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا إِلَى يَوْمِ الْقِيَامَةِ قَالَ: هُمُ الْمُسْلِمُونِ، وَنَحْنُ مِنْهُمْ، وَنَحْنُ فَوْقَ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا إِلَى يَوْمِ الْقِيَامَةِ.
قَولُهُ تَعَالَى: ثُمَّ إِلَيَّ مَرْجِعُكُمْ
٣٥٩٤ - حَدَّثَنَا عِصَامُ بْنُ رَوَّادٍ، ثنا آدَمُ، ثنا أَبُو جَعْفَرٍ الرَّازِيُّ، عَنِ الرَّبِيعِ عَنْ أَبِي الْعَالِيَةِ: ثُمَّ إِلَيَّ مَرْجِعُكُمْ قَالَ: يَرْجِعُونَ إِلَيْهِ بَعْدَ الْحَيَاةِ.
قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: فَأَمَّا الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا فَأُعَذِّبُهُمْ عَذَابًا شَدِيدًا فِي الدُّنْيَا وَالآخِرَةِ وَمَا لَهُم مِّن نَّاصِرِينَ
٣٥٩٥ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي مُوسَى، ثنا هَارُونُ بْنُ حَاتِمٍ، ثنا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ ابْنُ أَبِي حَمَّادٍ، عَنْ أَسْبَاطِ بْنِ نَصْرٍ، عَنِ السُّدِّيِّ، عَنْ أَبَى مَالِكٍ قَالَ: فَهُمْ أَصْحَابُ النَّارِ يُعَذَّبُونَ فِيهَا.
قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: وَأَمَّا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَعَمِلُوا الصَّالِحَاتِ
