3603 - Muhammad b. Yahya narrated to us, Abu Ghassan reported to us, Salamah reported to us, he said: Muhammad b. Ishaq said: "This is what We recite to you, O Muhammad, of the verses."

His saying, the Exalted: "And the wise Reminder."

3604 - Musa b. 'Abd al-Rahman al-Masruqi narrated to us, al-Husayn b. 'Ali reported to us, from Hamzah al-Zayyat, from Abu al-Mukhtar al-Ta'i, from the nephew of al-Harith al-A'war, from al-Harith al-A'war, from 'Ali, he said: I heard the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, say: "There will be trials." I asked: "What is the way out of them?" He said: "The Book of Allah, it is the wise Reminder and the straight path."

3605 - Muhammad b. Yahya narrated to us, Abu Ghassan reported to us, Salamah reported to us, he said: Muhammad b. Ishaq said: "And the wise Reminder," the decisive, the separating, the truth which falsehood has not mingled with regarding the report about 'Isa and regarding what they differed about in his affair, so do not accept any report other than it.

His saying, the Exalted: "Indeed, the example of 'Isa to Allah is like that of Adam. He created him from dust; then He said to him, 'Be,' and he was."

3606 - Muhammad b. Sa'd al-'Awfi informed us in what he wrote to me, my father narrated to me, my paternal uncle al-Husayn narrated to me, my father narrated to me from my grandfather, from Ibn 'Abbas regarding His saying: "Indeed, the example of 'Isa to Allah is like that of Adam. He created him from dust; then He said to him, 'Be,' and he was." This is because a group from the people of Najran came to Muhammad the Good (al-Tayyib), peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, and among them were al-Sayyid and al-'Aqib. They said to Muhammad: "What is the matter with you that you mention our companion?" He asked: "Who is he?" They said: "'Isa, you claim that he is the servant of Allah." Muhammad, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, said: "Yes, he is the servant of Allah." They said to him: "Have you seen anyone like 'Isa or have you been told of one?" Then they departed from him. Then Jibril came to him with the command of our Lord, the All-Hearing, the All-Knowing, and said: "Say to them when they come to you: Indeed, the example of 'Isa to Allah is like that of Adam. He created him from dust; then He said to him, 'Be,' and he was. The truth is from your Lord, so do not be among the doubters."

3607 - Muhammad b. Ishaq narrated to us: "Indeed, the example of 'Isa to Allah"—so listen—"is like that of Adam. He created him from dust." If they say: "'Isa was created without a male," then Adam was created from dust with that same power without a female or a male, and he was, just as 'Isa was, flesh, blood, hair, and skin. So the creation of 'Isa without a male is not more wondrous than this.
