[The Fifth Aspect]

3654 - My father narrated to us, al-Nufayli narrated to us, Muhammad b. Salamah narrated to us, from Khusayf regarding His saying: "Hanif," he said: The Hanif is the sincere one (al-mukhlis).

His saying, the Exalted: "A Muslim, and he was not of the polytheists."

3655 - Al-'Abbas b. al-Walid b. Mazyad narrated to us by way of reading, Muhammad b. Shu'ayb b. Shabur informed me, 'Uthman b. 'Ata' informed me, from his father 'Ata' b. Abi Muslim al-Khurasani regarding His saying: "Hanif, a Muslim, sincere (mukhlisan)." Abu Muhammad said: Something similar was narrated from Muqatil b. Hayyan.

His saying, the Exalted: "Indeed, the most worthy of Abraham among the people are those who followed him [in prophethood]."

[The First Aspect]

3656 - Ahmad b. Sinan narrated to us, 'Abd al-Rahman b. Mahdi narrated to us, from Sufyan, (H), and Abu Sa'id al-Ashajj narrated to us, Waki' narrated to us, from Sufyan, from his father, from Abu al-Duha, from 'Abd Allah (H), and Ahmad b. 'Isam narrated to us, from Masruq, from 'Abd Allah, he said: The Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said: "Every prophet has allies (wulat) from among the prophets, and my ally among them is my father and the close friend of my Lord, Abraham." Then he recited: "Indeed, the most worthy of Abraham among the people are those who followed him [in prophethood], and this prophet, and those who believe [in him], and Allah is the ally of the believers."

[The Second Aspect]

3657 - My father narrated to us, Abu Salih narrated to us, Mu'awiyah b. Salih narrated to me, from 'Ali b. Abi Talhah, from Ibn 'Abbas, he said: Allah, the Exalted, says: "Indeed, the most worthy of Abraham among the people are those who followed him," and they are the believers.

[The Third Aspect]

3658 - My father narrated to us, Ahmad b. 'Abd al-Rahman al-Sa'di narrated to us, 'Abd Allah b. Abi Ja'far narrated to us, from his father, from al-Rabi' b. Anas regarding His saying: "Indeed, the most worthy of Abraham among the people are those who followed him" upon his creed (millah), his tradition (sunnah), and his path (minhaj). Muhammad, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, and those with him from among the believers were the most worthy of people to Abraham.

(2). Al-Tirmidhi, Book of Tafsir, no. 2995, narrated it from 'Abd Allah without mentioning Masruq, and said: "This is more authentic than the hadith of Abu al-Sakhr from Masruq," 5/208.

٣٦٥٤ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي، ثنا النُّفَيْلِيُّ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ خُصَيْفٍ فِي قَوْلِهِ:

حَنِيفًا قَالَ: الْحَنِيفُ الْمُخْلِصُ.

قَولُهُ تَعَالَى: مُسْلِمًا وَمَا كَانَ مِنَ الْمُشْرِكِينَ

٣٦٥٥ - حَدَّثَنَا الْعَبَّاسُ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ بْنِ مَزْيَدٍ قِرَاءَةً، أَخْبَرَنِي محمد ابْنُ شُعَيْبِ بْنُ شَابُورَ، أَخْبَرَنِي عُثْمَانُ بْنُ عَطَاءٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَطَاءِ بْنِ أَبِي مُسْلِمٍ الْخُرَاسَانِيِّ فِي قَوْلِهِ:

حَنِيفًا مُسْلِمًا مُخْلِصًا قَالَ أَبُو مُحَمَّدٍ: وَرُوِيَ عَنْ مُقَاتِلِ بْنِ حَيَّانَ نَحْوُ ذَلِكَ.

قَولُهُ تَعَالَى: إِنَّ أَوْلَى النَّاسِ بِإِبْرَاهِيمَ للذين اتبعوه

٣٦٥٦ - حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ سِنَانٍ، ثنا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ مَهْدِيٍّ، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ، (ح) «١» وَحَدَّثَنَا أَبُو سَعِيدٍ الأَشَجُّ، ثنا وَكِيعٌ، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ أَبِي الضُّحَى، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ (ح) وَحَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عِصَامٍ، عَنْ مَسْرُوقٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ قَالَ: قَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِنَّ لِكُلِّ نَبِيٍّ وُلاةً مِنَ النَّبِيِّينَ، وَإِنَّ وَلِيِّي مِنْهُمْ أَبِي وَخَلِيلُ رَبِّي إِبْرَاهِيمَ ثُمَّ قَرَأَ إِنَّ أَوْلَى النَّاسِ بِإِبْرَاهِيمَ لَلَّذِينَ اتَّبَعُوهُ وَهَذَا النَّبِيُّ وَالَّذِينَ آمَنُوا والله ولي الْمُؤْمِنِينَ «٢» .

وَالْوَجْهُ الثَّانِي:

٣٦٥٧ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي، ثنا أَبُو صَالِحٍ، حَدَّثَنِي مُعَاوِيَةُ بْنُ صَالِحٍ، عَنْ عَلِيِّ ابْنِ أَبِي طَلْحَةَ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ: يَقُولُ اللَّهُ تَعَالَى: إِنَّ أَوْلَى النَّاسِ بِإِبْرَاهِيمَ لَلَّذِينَ اتَّبَعُوهُ وَهُمُ الْمُؤْمِنُونَ.

وَالْوَجْهُ الثَّالِثُ:

٣٦٥٨ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي، ثنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ السَّعْدِيُّ، ثنا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ أَبِي جَعْفَرٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنِ الرَّبِيعِ بْنِ أَنَسٍ قَوْلُهُ: إِنَّ أَوْلَى النَّاسِ بِإِبْرَاهِيمَ لَلَّذِينَ اتَّبَعُوهُ عَلَى مِلَّتِهِ وَسُنَّتِهِ وَمِنْهَاجِهِ، وَكَانَ مُحَمَّدٌ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَالَّذِينَ مَعَهُ مِنَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ أَوْلَى النَّاسِ بِإِبْرَاهِيمَ.
