Khalid al-Ahmar, from Sa'id b. al-Marzuban, from 'Ikrimah, from Ibn 'Abbas regarding the saying of Allah the Exalted: "while to Him has submitted whoever is in the heavens and the earth, willingly and by compulsion." (He said: This is separated: "and whoever is in the earth, willingly.")
The Third Aspect:
3771 - My father narrated to us, 'Uthman b. al-Haytham narrated to us, Yahya b. 'Abd al-Rahman al-'Asari narrated to us, from al-Hasan regarding His saying: "while to Him has submitted whoever is in the heavens and the earth." He said: In the heaven are the angels willingly, and on earth are the Ansar and 'Abd al-Qays willingly.
The Fourth Aspect:
3772 - Abu Sa'id al-Ashajj narrated to us, Waki' narrated to us, from Isra'il, from Jabir, from 'Amir regarding "while to Him has submitted whoever is in the heavens and the earth." He said: Their submission to Him.
The Fifth Aspect:
3773 - My father narrated to us, 'Ubayd Allah b. Hamzah b. Isma'il narrated to us, my father informed me, my father Sinan narrated to us regarding His saying: "while to Him has submitted whoever is in the heavens and the earth, willingly and by compulsion." He said: Knowledge; there is no one who asks Him but that he knows Him.
His saying, the Exalted: "willingly and by compulsion, and to Him they will be returned."

3774 - Sa'id b. 'Amr b. Sa'id al-Sakuni informed me in what he wrote to me, Baqiyyah narrated to us, Mu'awiyah b. Yahya narrated to me, from Abu Sinan, from Sa'id b. Jubayr, from Ibn 'Abbas regarding His saying: "while to Him has submitted whoever is in the heavens and the earth, willingly and by compulsion." He said: Knowledge.
3775 - My father narrated to us, Abu Salih narrated to us, Mu'awiyah b. Salih narrated to me, from 'Ali b. Abi Talhah, from Ibn 'Abbas regarding His saying: "while to Him has submitted whoever is in the heavens and the earth, willingly and by compulsion." He said: Their worship of Me, all of them, willingly and by compulsion.
3776 - Kathir b. Shihab narrated to us, Muhammad, meaning Ibn Sa'id b. Sabiq, narrated to us, Abu Ja'far narrated to us, from al-Rabi', from Abu al-'Aliyah regarding His saying:

خَالِدٍ الأَحْمَرُ عَنْ سَعِيدَ بْنَ الْمَرْزُبَانِ، عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ فِي قَوْلِ اللَّهِ تَعَالَى:
وَلَهُ أَسْلَمَ مَن فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالأَرْضِ طَوْعًا وَكَرْهًا (قَالَ: هَذِهِ مَفْصُولَةٌ وَمَنْ فِي الأَرْضِ طَوْعًا) «١»

٣٧٧١ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي ثنا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ الْهَيْثَمِ، ثنا يَحْيَى بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الْعَصَرِيُّ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ فِي قَوْلِهِ: وَلَهُ أَسْلَمَ مَنْ في السماوات وَالأَرْضِ قَالَ: فِي السَّمَاءِ الْمَلائِكَةُ طَوْعًا، وَفِي الأَرْضِ الأَنْصَارُ وَعَبْدُ الْقَيْسِ طَوْعًا.

٣٧٧٥ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي، ثنا أَبُو صَالِحٍ، حَدَّثَنِي مُعَاوِيَةُ بْنُ صَالِحٍ، عَنْ عَلِيِّ ابْنِ أَبِي طَلْحَةَ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَوْلَهُ: وَلَهُ أَسْلَمَ مَن فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالأَرْضِ طَوْعًا وَكَرْهًا قَالَ: عِبَادَتُهُمْ لِي أَجْمَعِينَ طَوْعًا وَكَرْهًا.
٣٧٧٦ - حَدَّثَنَا كَثِيرُ بْنُ شِهَابٍ، ثنا مُحَمَّدٌ يَعْنِي ابْنَ سَعِيدِ بْنِ سَابِقٍ، ثنا أَبُو جَعْفَرٍ، عَنِ الرَّبِيعِ، عَنْ أَبِي الْعَالِيَةِ فِي قَوْلِهِ:
