it is not lawful for her, if she is pregnant, to conceal her pregnancy; and it is not lawful for her, if she is menstruating, to conceal her menstruation.

Abu Muhammad said: It was reported from Ibn 'Abbas, al-Sha'bi, al-Hakam b. 'Utaybah, Mujahid, al-Rabi' b. Anas, and al-Dahhak, something similar to that.

The third interpretation: Menstruation:

2192 - My father narrated to us, Mu'alla b. Asad narrated to us, 'Abd al-'Aziz b. al-Mukhtar, and Wuhayb and Khalid b. 'Abd Allah narrated to us, from Khalid al-Hadhdha', from 'Ikrimah, regarding this verse: "And it is not lawful for them to conceal what Allah has created in their wombs," he said: It is menstruation.

Abu Muhammad said: It was reported from 'Atiyyah, and one of the reports from al-Nakha'i, something similar to that.

His saying: "If they believe in Allah and the Last Day"

2193 - 'Ali b. al-Husayn narrated to us, 'Uthman b. Abi Shaybah and Yusuf b. Musa narrated to us, they said: Jarir narrated to us, from Wasil b. Sulaym, from 'Abd Allah b. Sa'id b. Jubayr, he said: A Bedouin came and asked: "Who is the most learned of the people of Makkah?" It was said to him: "Sa'id b. Jubayr." He asked about him, and he was in a circle, and he was young in age. Yusuf added: He said: "This young man?" It was said to him: "It is him." They both said: So he asked him about a nephew of his who married a woman, then a separation occurred between them while she was pregnant, and she concealed her pregnancy until she gave birth. "Does he have the right to take her back?" He said: "No." He said: This was hard for the Bedouin. Sa'id said to him: "What would you do with a woman who does not believe in Allah and the Last Day?" He continued to discourage him from her until he became uninterested in her.

2194 - Abu Zur'ah narrated to us, Yahya b. Lahi'ah narrated to us, 'Ata' narrated to me, from Sa'id b. Jubayr, regarding the saying of Allah: "And the Last Day," meaning: And they believe in the unseen which contains the reward for deeds.

The saying of the Most High: "And their husbands have more right to take them back in that, if they wish for reconciliation."

2195 - My father narrated to us, Abu Salih narrated to us, Mu'awiyah b. Salih narrated to me, from 'Ali b. Abi Talhah, from Ibn 'Abbas, regarding his saying: "And their husbands have more right to take them back in that, if they wish for reconciliation," he says: If a man divorces his wife one or two divorces, and she is pregnant, then he has more right...
