the right to take her back as long as she has not given birth. Abu Muhammad said: It was reported from Mujahid, al-Hasan, Ibrahim al-Nakha'i, 'Ikrimah, al-Dahhak, al-Rabi' b. Anas, Qatadah, Muqatil b. Hayyan, and Zayd b. Aslam, the same as that.

2196 - Muhammad b. Isma'il al-Ahmasi narrated to us, Waki' narrated to us, from Bashir b. Salman, from 'Ikrimah, from Ibn 'Abbas, he said: I like to adorn myself for my wife, just as I like for my wife to adorn herself for me, because Allah says: "And for them is similar to what is against them with what is appropriate."
2197 - I read to Muhammad b. al-Fadl, Muhammad b. 'Ali narrated to us, Muhammad b. Muzahim informed us, from Bukayr b. Ma'ruf, from Muqatil b. Hayyan: "And for them is similar to what is against them with what is appropriate," he says: They have the right to what is similar to what is upon them.
His saying: "And for the men over them is a degree, and Allah is Exalted in Might, Wise."

2198 - Al-Ahmasi narrated to us, Waki' narrated to us, from Bashir b. Salman, from 'Ikrimah, from Ibn 'Abbas, he said: I do not like to exhaust all my rights over her, because Allah says: "And for the men over them is a degree."
The second interpretation:
2199 - Hajjaj b. Hamzah narrated to us, Shababah narrated to us, Warqa' narrated to us, from Ibn Abi Najih, from Mujahid: "And for the men over them is a degree," he said: A preference; that which Allah has preferred him with over her in terms of Jihad, and the preference of his inheritance over her inheritance, and everything by which he has been preferred over her.
The third interpretation:
2200 - Abu Sa'id al-Ashaj narrated to us, 'Ubayd Allah b. Musa narrated to us, from Isra'il, from al-Suddi, from Abu Malik: "And for the men over them is a degree," he said: He divorces her, and she has no say in the matter.
And the fourth interpretation:
2201 - Muhammad b. Isma'il al-Ahmasi narrated to us, Waki' narrated to us, he said: I heard Sufyan saying: I heard Zayd b. Aslam saying regarding the saying of Allah: "And for the men over them is a degree," he said: Leadership (al-imarah).
بِرَجْعَتِهَا مَا لَمْ تَضَعْ. قَالَ أَبُو مُحَمَّدٍ: وَرُوِيَ عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ وَالْحَسَنِ وَإِبْرَاهِيمَ النَّخَعِيِّ وَعِكْرِمَةَ وَالضَّحَّاكِ وَالرَّبِيعِ بْنِ أَنَسٍ وَقَتَادَةَ وَمُقَاتِلِ بْنِ حَيَّانَ وَزَيْدِ بْنِ أَسْلَمَ، مِثْلُ ذَلِكَ.

٢١٩٧ - قَرَأْتُ عَلَى مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْفَضْلِ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ، أَنْبَأَ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مُزَاحِمٍ، عَنْ بُكَيْرِ بْنِ مَعْرُوفٍ، عَنْ مُقَاتِلِ بْنِ حَيَّانَ: وَلَهُنَّ مِثْلُ الَّذِي عَلَيْهِنَّ بِالْمَعْرُوفِ يَقُولُ: لَهُنَّ مِنَ الْحَقِّ مِثْلُ الَّذِي عَلَيْهِنَّ.

٢١٩٩ - حَدَّثَنَا حَجَّاجُ بْنُ حَمْزَةَ، ثنا شَبَابَةُ، ثنا وَرْقَاءُ، عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي نَجِيحٍ عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ: وَلِلرِّجَالِ عَلَيْهِنَّ دَرَجَةٌ قَالَ: فَضْلٌ. مَا فَضَّلَهُ اللَّهُ بِهِ عَلَيْهَا مِنَ الْجِهَادِ، وَفَضْلُ مِيرَاثِهِ عَلَى مِيرَاثِهَا، وَكُلُّ مَا فُضِّلَ بِهِ عَلَيْهَا.

٢٢٠٠ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو سَعِيدٍ الأَشَجُّ، ثنا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُوسَى، عَنْ إِسْرَائِيلَ عَنِ السُّدِّيِّ، عَنْ أَبِي مَالِكٍ: وَلِلرِّجَالِ عَلَيْهِنَّ دَرَجَةٌ قَالَ: يُطَلِّقُهَا، وَلَيْسَ لَهَا مِنَ الأَمْرِ شَيْءٌ.
