Translation · EN

His saying, the Most High: "His provision"

2272 - 'Ali b. al-Husayn narrated to us, 'Uthman b. Abi Shaybah narrated to us, Waki' narrated to us, from Sufyan, from al-Shaybani, from Ibn Ma'qil: "And upon the father of the child is their provision," he said: The support of the child is from his share.

2273 - Abu Zur'ah narrated to us, Yahya b. 'Abd Allah b. Bukayr narrated to us, Ibn Lahi'ah narrated to me, 'Ata' b. Dinar narrated to me, from Sa'id b. Jubayr: "Their provision," meaning the mother's provision. It has been narrated from Muqatil b. Hayyan and Qatadah something similar.

His saying: "And their clothing"

2274 - My father narrated to us, 'Uthman b. Sa'id b. Murrah narrated to us, Hasan b. Salih b. Hayy narrated to us, from Ibn Abi Najih, from Mujahid, regarding His saying: "Their provision and their clothing," he said: A garment in which she prays.

His saying: "In a reasonable manner"

2275 - I read to Muhammad b. al-Fadl b. Musa, Muhammad b. 'Ali b. al-Hasan b. Shaqiq narrated to us, Muhammad b. Muzahim informed us, from Bukayr b. Ma'ruf, from Muqatil b. Hayyan, regarding: "And upon the father of the child is their provision and their clothing in a reasonable manner," he said: According to his capacity.

His saying, the Most High: "No soul is charged except [within] its capacity"

2276 - Abu Zur'ah narrated to us, Yahya b. 'Abd Allah b. Bukayr narrated to us, Ibn Lahi'ah narrated to me, 'Ata' b. Dinar narrated to me, from Sa'id b. Jubayr, regarding the statement of Allah: "No soul is charged except [within] its capacity," he says: Allah does not charge a soul in the provision of the nursing mothers except what it can bear. It has been narrated from Abu Malik, Qatadah, Muqatil b. Hayyan, and al-Thawri something similar.

His saying, the Most High: "No mother should be harmed through her child"

[The First Aspect]

2277 - Hajjaj b. Hamzah narrated to us, Shababah narrated to us, Warqa' narrated to us, from Ibn Abi Najih, from Mujahid, regarding His saying: "No mother should be harmed through her child," she should not refuse to nurse him as a form of harm, to cause hardship to his father. It has been narrated from al-Zuhri and 'Ata' something similar.
