[The Second Aspect]

2278 - Abu Zur'ah narrated to us, Yahya b. 'Abd Allah b. Bukayr narrated to us, Ibn Lahi'ah narrated to me, 'Ata' b. Dinar narrated to me, from Sa'id b. Jubayr, regarding the statement of Allah: "No mother should be harmed through her child," he says: A man should not pressure his wife to harm her by taking her child away from her, while she does not desire that.

2279 - Abu Zur'ah narrated to us, 'Amr b. Hammad narrated to us, Asbat narrated to us, from al-Suddi, regarding: "No mother should be harmed through her child," he says: A man should not take his child away from his wife and give it to another woman for the same wage that she would have accepted. It has been narrated from Qatadah and Muqatil b. Hayyan something similar.

And the Third Aspect:

2280 - al-Hasan b. Ahmad narrated to us, Musa b. Muhallim narrated to us, 'Abd al-Kabir b. 'Abd al-Majid al-Hanafi narrated to us, 'Abbad b. Mansur narrated to us, he said: I asked al-Hasan about His saying: "No mother should be harmed through her child," he said: It is not for a mother to be harmed through her child by weaning him before the completion of two full years of breastfeeding, as Allah the Most High said. Nor is she to be harmed by refusing to nurse him out of spite for his father, until he finds a wet-nurse for his child, as she is the most affectionate towards her child and provides the best nourishment for him.

The Fourth Aspect:

2281 - 'Ali b. al-Husayn narrated to us, al-Muqaddami narrated to us, al-Wahid b. Ziyad narrated to us, 'Asim al-Ahwal narrated to us, from al-Sha'bi, regarding: "No mother should be harmed through her child," she is not compelled to pay for maintenance as the father is compelled.

His saying, the Most High: "Nor the father of the child [be harmed] through his child"

[The First Aspect]

2282 - Abu Zur'ah narrated to us, Yahya b. 'Abd Allah b. Bukayr narrated to us, Ibn Lahi'ah narrated to me, 'Ata' b. Dinar narrated to me, from Sa'id b. Jubayr, regarding the statement of Allah: "Nor the father of the child [be harmed] through his child," he means: The man. He says: A woman, when her husband divorces her, must not let herself be pressured to harm him by casting his child upon him as a means of causing him harm. It has been narrated from Muqatil, Qatadah, and al-Suddi something similar.

The Second Aspect:

2283 - Hajjaj b. Hamzah narrated to us, Shababah narrated to us, Warqa' narrated to us, from Ibn Abi Najih, from Mujahid, he means His saying: "Nor the father of the child [be harmed] through his child," so she prevents his mother from nursing him, thereby causing her grief.
