The Second Aspect:
2333 - Abu Sa'id al-Ashajj narrated to us, Abu Usamah reported to us, from 'Imran b. Hudayr, from Abu Mijlaz and al-Hasan, regarding "But do not make a promise to them in secret," he said: Fornication. It is narrated from Ibrahim, Jabir b. Zayd, Qatadah, Sulayman al-Taymi, Muqatil b. Hayyan, al-Suddi, and one of the two statements of al-Dahhak, the like of that.
The Third Aspect:
2334 - Abu Zur'ah narrated to us, Musa b. Isma'il reported to us, Wuhayb reported to us, from Khalid, from Muhammad b. Sirin, regarding His saying: "But do not make a promise to them in secret," he said: You meet the guardian and mention your desire and keenness. It is narrated from 'Ata', the like of that.
The Fourth Aspect:
2335 - My father narrated to us, al-Musayyab b. Wadih reported to us, Ibn al-Mubarak reported to us, from Ibn Jurayj: I said to 'Ata': Should one make a promise to her guardian without her knowledge? For she is the master of her own affair. He said: No, I dislike that.
His saying: "Except that you say a word known"
2336 - My father narrated to us, Abu Salih reported to us, Mu'awiyah b. Salih narrated to me, from 'Ali b. Abi Talhah, from Ibn 'Abbas: Allah says: "Except that you say a word known," and it is his saying: "Do you see? Do not forestall me, for I am a lover of you."
2337 - Ahmad b. Sinan al-Wasiti and Yazid b. Sinan al-Basri narrated to us, they said: 'Abd al-Rahman b. Mahdi reported to us, from Sufyan, from Salamah b. Kuhayl, from Muslim al-Batin, from Sa'id b. Jubayr, regarding "Except that you say a word known," he said: He says: I have a desire for you, and I hope that we will come together. It is narrated from Mujahid, 'Abd al-Rahman b. al-Qasim, Abu al-Duha, Qatadah, al-Zuhri, Muqatil b. Hayyan, Zayd b. Aslam, Ibrahim al-Nakha'i, 'Ata', al-Dahhak, al-Sha'bi, and al-Suddi, the like of that.
