His saying (Exalted is He): "And when you are secure"
2386 - I read to Muhammad b. al-Fadl, Muhammad b. 'Ali reported to us, Muhammad b. Muzahim informed us, from Bukayr b. Ma'ruf, from Muqatil b. Hayyan, regarding His saying: "And when you are secure" from the enemy.
2387 - 'Ali b. al-Hasan b. al-Junayd narrated to us, 'Uthman b. Abi Shaybah reported to us, Waki' reported to us, from Sufyan, from a man, from Mujahid, regarding His saying: "And when you are secure," he said: Departure from the land of travel to the land of residence.
His saying (Exalted is He): "Then remember Allah"
2388 - I read to Muhammad b. al-Fadl, Muhammad b. 'Ali reported to us, from Bukayr b. Ma'ruf, from Muqatil b. Hayyan, "Then remember Allah just as He has taught you," he says: Pray just as He has taught you.
His saying: "Just as He has taught you that which you did not know"
2389 - Ahmad b. 'Amr b. Abi 'Asim al-Nabil narrated to us, my father narrated to me, from his father Abu 'Asim, Shabib b. Bishr informed us, from 'Ikrimah, from Ibn 'Abbas, "And when you are secure, then remember Allah just as He has taught you that which you did not know," meaning: Just as He taught you that the rider prays on his mount and the pedestrian on his feet.
His saying (Exalted is He): "And those who are taken in death among you and leave wives behind, [there shall be] a bequest for their wives"
2390 - Al-Hasan b. Muhammad b. al-Sabbah narrated to us, Hajjaj b. Muhammad reported to us, from Ibn Jurayj and 'Uthman b. 'Ata', from 'Ata', from Ibn 'Abbas, regarding His saying: "And those who are taken in death among you and leave wives behind, [there shall be] a bequest for their wives, provision for a year without turning them out." So the woman whose husband had died was entitled to her maintenance and her housing in the house for a year. Then the verse of inheritance abrogated it, so there was assigned to them the fourth and the eighth of what the husband left behind.
It was narrated from Abu Musa al-Ash'ari, Ibn al-Zubayr, Mujahid, Ibrahim, 'Ata', al-Hasan, 'Ikrimah, Qatadah, al-Dahhak, Zayd b. Aslam, al-Suddi, Muqatil b. Hayyan, 'Ata' al-Khurasani, and al-Rabi' b. Anas that it is abrogated.
