The third interpretation:

4565 - Al-Hasan ibn Ahmad narrated to us, Musa ibn Muhkam narrated to us, Abu Bakr al-Hanafi narrated to us, ‘Abbad ibn Mansur narrated to us, he said: I asked al-Hasan regarding His saying: "until He separates the evil from the good": until We test them and He knows the truthful and knows the liar; for as for the believer, he spoke the truth, and as for the disbeliever, he lied.

The fourth interpretation:

4566 - Muhammad ibn Yahya narrated to us, al-‘Abbas ibn al-Walid narrated to us, Yazid narrated to us, Sa‘id narrated to us, from Qatadah regarding His saying: "until He separates the evil from the good": He separates between them by Jihad and migration. It was narrated from Matar similarly.

His saying, the Exalted: "Nor would Allah inform you of the unseen"

[The first interpretation]

4567 - Al-Hasan ibn Ahmad narrated to us, Musa ibn Muhkam narrated to us, Abu Bakr al-Hanafi narrated to us, ‘Abbad ibn Mansur narrated to us, he said: I asked al-Hasan regarding His saying: "Nor would Allah inform you of the unseen," he said: No one is informed of the unseen except a Messenger.

[The second interpretation]

4568 - Ahmad ibn ‘Uthman ibn Hakim narrated to us, Ahmad ibn Mufaddal narrated to us, Asbat narrated to us, from al-Suddi: "Nor would Allah inform you of the unseen," he said: Allah would not inform Muhammad of the unseen.

4569 - Muhammad ibn al-‘Abbas narrated to us, Muhammad ibn ‘Amr narrated to us, Salamah narrated to us, Muhammad said: "Nor would Allah inform you of the unseen," meaning: regarding that which He intends to test you with, so that you may beware of what He causes you to enter into regarding it.

His saying, the Exalted: "but Allah chooses"

4570 - Hajjaj ibn Hamzah narrated to us, Shababah narrated to us, Warqa’ narrated to us, from Ibn Abi Najih, from Mujahid regarding His saying: "He chooses from His messengers whom He wills," [meaning regarding] "chooses" (yajtabi): He examines.

The second interpretation:

4571 - Abu Bakr ibn Abi Musa narrated to us, Harun ibn Hatim narrated to us, ‘Abd al-Rahman ibn Abi Hammad narrated to us, Asbat ibn Nasr narrated to us, from al-Suddi, from Abu Malik regarding His saying: "chooses" (yajtabi): meaning, He selects.
