His saying, the Exalted: "And we will say, 'Taste the punishment of the Burning Fire.'"
4592 - My father narrated to us, Ahmad ibn al-Sabah narrated to us, Yazid ibn Harun narrated to us, Hisham ibn Hassan narrated to us, from al-Hasan, who said: It has reached me that one of them will be burned seventy thousand times in a day.
His saying, the Exalted: "That is for what your hands have sent ahead, and because Allah is not unjust to His servants."
4593 - Abu Bakr ibn Abi Musa narrated to us, Harun ibn Hatim narrated to us, ‘Abd al-Rahman narrated to us, from Asbat, from al-Suddi, from Abu Malik, regarding His saying: "That" means: "This."
4594 - Abu Zur‘ah narrated to us, Yahya ibn ‘Abd Allah ibn Bukayr narrated to us, ‘Abd Allah ibn Bukayr narrated to us, ‘Abd Allah ibn Lahia‘ narrated to us, ‘Ata’ ibn Dinar narrated to me, from Sa‘id ibn Jubayr, regarding the saying of Allah, the Exalted: "That" means: What has befallen them.
His saying, the Exalted: "And because Allah is not unjust to His servants."
4595 - Muhammad ibn Yahya al-Wasiti narrated to us, Muhammad ibn Bashir narrated to us, ‘Amr ibn ‘Atiyyah narrated to us, from his father, from ‘Ikrimah, from Ibn ‘Abbas regarding His saying: "And because Allah is not unjust to His servants," he said: "I am not one to punish one who has committed no crime against Me such that I should punish him."
His saying, the Exalted: "Those who said, 'Indeed, Allah has taken a covenant with us that we should not believe in any messenger.'"
4596 - ‘Ali ibn al-Husayn narrated to us, ‘Uthman ibn Abi Shaybah narrated to us, Yahya ibn Adam narrated to us, Yahya ibn Abi Za’idah narrated to us, from Mujalid, from al-Sha‘bi, regarding His saying: "Those who said, 'Indeed, Allah has taken a covenant with us that we should not believe in any messenger'"—to the end of the verse—he said: "There were seven hundred years between those who killed [the prophets] and those who said: 'Indeed, Allah has taken a covenant with us...'
4597 - Al-Hasan ibn Ahmad narrated to us, Musa ibn Muhkam narrated to us, Abu Bakr al-Hanafi narrated to us, ‘Abbad ibn Mansur narrated to us, from al-Hasan, regarding His saying: "'Indeed, Allah has taken a covenant with us that we should not believe in any messenger until he brings us an offering which the fire consumes,'" he said: "They lied about Allah."

قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: ذَلِكَ بِمَا قَدَّمَتْ أَيْدِيكُمْ وَأَنَّ اللَّهَ لَيْسَ بظلام للعبيد

٤٥٩٤ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو زُرْعَةَ، ثنا يَحْيَى بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ بُكَيْرٍ، ثنا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ بُكَيْرٍ، ثنا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ لَهِيعَةَ، حَدَّثَنِي عَطَاءُ بْنُ دِينَارٍ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ فِي قَوْلِ اللَّهِ تَعَالَى:
ذَلِكَ يَعْنِي: الَّذِي نَزَلَ بِهِمْ.
قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: وَأَنَّ اللَّهَ لَيْسَ بِظَلامٍ لِلْعَبِيدِ
٤٥٩٥ - حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى الْوَاسِطِيُّ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشِيرٍ، ثنا عَمْرُو بْنُ عَطِيَّةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنِ عِكْرِمَةَ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ فِي قَوْلِهِ: وأن اللَّهَ لَيْسَ بِظَلامٍ لِلْعَبِيدِ قَالَ: مَا أَنَا بِمُعَذِّبٍ مَنْ لَمْ يَجْرُمْ عِنْدِي أَنْ أُعَذِّبَهُ.
قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: الَّذِينَ قَالُوا إِنَّ اللَّهَ عَهِدَ إِلَيْنَا أَلا نُؤْمِنَ لِرَسُولٍ
٤٥٩٦ - حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ الْحُسَيْنِ، ثنا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، ثنا يَحْيَى بْنُ آدَمَ، ثنا يَحْيَى بْنُ أَبِي زَائِدَةَ، عَنْ مُجَالِدٍ، عَنِ الشَّعْبِيِّ فِي قَوْلِهِ: الَّذِينَ قَالُوا إِنَّ اللَّهَ عهد إلينا ألا نُؤْمِنَ لِرَسُولٍ قَالَ: كَانَ بَيْنَ الَّذِينَ قَتَلُوا وَبَيْنَ الَّذِينَ قَالُوا: إِنَّ اللَّهَ عَهِدَ إِلَيْنَا إِلَى آخِرِ الآيَةِ- سَبْعُمِائَةِ سَنَةٍ «١» .
٤٥٩٧ - حَدَّثَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ، ثنا مُوسَى بْنُ مُحْكَمٍ، ثنا أَبُو بَكْرٍ الْحَنَفِيُّ، ثنا عَبَّادُ بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ، عَنِ الْحَسَنِ قَوْلَهُ: إِنَّ اللَّهَ عَهِدَ إِلَيْنَا أَلَاّ نُؤْمِنَ لِرَسُولٍ حَتَّىَ يَأْتِيَنَا بِقُرْبَانٍ تَأْكُلُهُ النَّارُ قال: كذبوا على الله.
