4606 - Muhammad ibn Yahya narrated to us, al-‘Abbas ibn al-Walid al-Narsi informed us, Yazid ibn Zuray’ narrated to us, from Sa‘id, from Qatadah regarding His saying: "Messengers have already been denied before you," he said: It is consoling His Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace.

4608 - And through the same chain from al-Suddi, from his companions, regarding the saying of Allah, the Exalted: "And the Scriptures [al-Zubur]," [he said]: The books of the prophets.

His saying, the Exalted: "Every soul will taste death, and you will only be given your [full] compensation on the Day of Resurrection"

4609 - My father narrated to us, ‘Abd al-‘Aziz al-Awsi narrated to us, ‘Ali ibn Abi ‘Ali al-Hashimi narrated to us, from Ja‘far ibn ‘Ali ibn al-Husayn, from his father, that ‘Ali ibn Abi Talib said: When the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, passed away and the condolence arrived, someone came to them; they heard his voice but did not see his person. He said: "Peace be upon you, O people of the House, and the mercy of Allah and His blessings. Every soul will taste death, and you will only be given your [full] compensation on the Day of Resurrection. Indeed, in Allah there is consolation for every calamity and recovery from everything that is lost. So trust in Allah and hope in Him, for the afflicted is he who is deprived of the reward. Peace be upon you."
