His saying, the Exalted: "Indeed, You do not fail [in] the promise."

4667 - My father narrated to us, Ishaq ibn al-Dayf narrated to us, Ibrahim ibn al-Hakam narrated to us, my father narrated to me, from 'Ikrimah, from Ibn 'Abbas regarding His saying: "Indeed, You do not fail [in] the promise," he said: The promise of the one who says: There is no god but Allah.

His saying, the Exalted: "And their Lord responded to them."

4668 - It was mentioned from Zafir, from Abu Bakr al-Hudhali, from 'Ata' who said: No servant says: "O Lord, O Lord, O Lord" three times, except that Allah looks upon him. I mentioned that to al-Hasan, and he said: Do you not recite the Qur'an: "Our Lord, indeed we have heard a caller calling to faith" to His saying: "And their Lord responded to them."

His saying, the Exalted: "That I will not allow to be lost the work of any worker among you, whether male or female; you are of one another."

4669 - 'Ali ibn al-Husayn al-Hisinjani narrated to us, Musaddad narrated to us, Yahya—meaning Ibn Sa'id—narrated to us, from Sufyan, from Ibn Abi Najih, from Mujahid who said: Umm Salamah said: O Messenger of Allah, and he mentioned the like of it.

His saying, the Exalted: "So those who emigrated and were evicted from their homes" to His saying: "the rivers."

4670 - Al-Hasan ibn Ahmad narrated to us, Musa ibn Muhkam narrated to us, Abu Bakr al-Hanafi narrated to us, 'Abbad ibn Mansur narrated to us, he said: I asked al-Hasan about His saying: "So those who emigrated and were evicted from their homes and were harmed in My cause and fought and were killed, I will surely remove from them their misdeeds, and I will surely admit them to gardens beneath which rivers flow," he said: They are the Emigrants (Muhajirun) who were evicted from every perspective.

His saying, the Exalted: "[As] a reward from Allah, and Allah has with Him the best of reward."

4671 - It was mentioned from Duhaym ibn Ibrahim, al-Walid ibn Muslim narrated to us, Hariz ibn 'Uthman informed me that Shaddad ibn Aws used to say: O people, do not accuse Allah regarding His decree, for Allah does not oppress a believer. If something that he loves befalls one of you, let him praise Allah, and if something he dislikes befalls him, let him be patient and seek reward [from Allah], for Allah has with Him the best of reward.
