4686 - Abu Sa'id al-Ashajj narrated to us, Yunus ibn Bukayr narrated to us, from 'Isa al-Razi, meaning: Abu Ja'far, from al-Rabi' ibn Anas regarding His saying: "do not sell the signs of Allah for a small price," he said: He does not take payment for teaching the Quran.
Abu Muhammad [Ibn Abi Hatim] said: He means, if he considers the teaching of the Quran as an act of seeking reward from Allah (ihtisab), he shall not take payment for it. In some books, it says: "O son of Adam, teach freely as you were taught freely."
4687 - 'Ali ibn al-Husayn narrated to us, Muhammad ibn 'Ali narrated to us, Hamzah narrated to us, 'Ali ibn Hamzah, meaning: al-Hasan ibn Shaqiq, reported to us, 'Abd Allah ibn Yazid, meaning: al-Ahwazi, reported to us, he said: al-Hasan was asked about His saying: "a small price," he said: The small price is the world in its entirety.
His saying, the Exalted: "Those - their reward is with their Lord. Indeed, Allah is swift in account."
4688 - My father narrated to us, Abu Hudhayfah narrated to us, Shibl narrated to us, from Ibn Abi Najih, from Mujahid regarding: "swift in account": Abu Muhammad [Ibn Abi Hatim] said: He means: swift in reckoning.
His saying, the Exalted: "O you who have believed, endure [perseverance]."

4689 - Yunus ibn 'Abd al-A'la narrated to us, Ibn Wahb narrated to us, Abu Sakhr al-Madini narrated to us, from Muhammad ibn Ka'b al-Qurazi: That he used to say regarding this verse: "endure and out-endure": He says: Endure regarding your religion.
4690 - Abu Zur'ah narrated to us, Abu 'Umar al-Hawdi and Musa ibn Isma'il narrated to us, they said: al-Mubarak, meaning: Ibn Fudalah, narrated to us, he said: I heard al-Hasan, and he recited this verse: "O you who have believed, endure," al-Hasan said: They were commanded to endure in their religion which Allah approved for them, Islam, and not to abandon it, neither for ease nor for hardship, nor for adversity nor for prosperity, until they die as Muslims.

4691 - Abu Zur'ah narrated to us, Yahya ibn 'Abd Allah ibn Bukayr narrated to us, 'Abd Allah ibn Lahi'ah narrated to me, 'Ata' ibn Dinar narrated to me, from Sa'id ibn Jubayr regarding the saying of Allah, the Exalted: "O you who have believed, endure," he means: upon the obligatory duties. And it was narrated from Muqatil ibn Hayyan similarly.
And the Third Aspect:
4692 - My father narrated to us, Abu Salih, the scribe of al-Layth, narrated to us, Bakr ibn Mudar narrated to me, from Abu Ghassan, he said: This verse was only revealed regarding adhering to the mosques: "O you who have believed, endure, and out-endure, and remain stationed."
