4719 - Hajjaj ibn Hamzah narrated to us, Shababah narrated to us, Warqa' narrated to us, from Ibn Abi Najih, from Mujahid regarding His saying: "And created from it its mate" he said: Hawwa (Eve) from the short rib of Adam while he was asleep. Then he woke up and said: "Aththa," in the Nabataean language, meaning woman.

It was narrated from al-Suddi, Qatadah, and Muqatil ibn Hayyan that she is: Hawwa.

His saying, the Exalted: "And dispersed"

4720 - Ahmad ibn 'Uthman ibn Hakim al-Awdi narrated to us, Ahmad ibn al-Mufaddal narrated to us, Asbat narrated to us, from al-Suddi regarding His saying: "And dispersed from both" he said: "Dispersed": He created. It was narrated from Muqatil ibn Hayyan the same.

His saying, the Exalted: "From both of them many men and women"

4721 - I read to Muhammad ibn al-Fadl, Muhammad ibn 'Ali narrated to us, Muhammad ibn Muzahim narrated to us, from Bukayr ibn Ma'ruf, from Muqatil ibn Hayyan regarding His saying: "And dispersed from both of them": from Adam and Hawwa:

He says: He created from both of them many men and women.

His saying, the Exalted: "And fear Allah"

4722 - Abu Zur'ah narrated to us, Yahya ibn 'Abd Allah ibn Bukayr narrated to us, Ibn Lahi'ah narrated to me, 'Ata' ibn Dinar narrated to us, from Sa'id ibn Jubayr regarding His saying: "Fear Allah" meaning: He warns the believers.

His saying, the Exalted: "Whom you ask"

4723 - Ahmad ibn Sinan narrated to us, 'Abd al-Rahman ibn Mahdi narrated to us, from Sufyan, and al-Ashajj narrated to us, Waki' narrated to us, from Sufyan, from Ibn Abi Najih, from Mujahid regarding His saying: "And fear Allah, through whom you ask" he said: He says: I ask you by Allah and by the kinship."
