His saying, the Exalted: "That is more likely that you will not deviate."
[The first perspective]
4761 - Muhammad ibn 'Awf al-Himsiyy and 'Allan ibn al-Mughirah al-Misriyy narrated to us, they said: 'Abd al-Rahman ibn Ibrahim, meaning Duhaym, narrated to us, Muhammad ibn Shu'ayb narrated to us, from 'Umar ibn Muhammad ibn Zayd, from Hisham ibn 'Urwah, from his father, from 'A'ishah, from the Prophet (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) regarding: "That is more likely that you will not deviate [ta'ulu]," he said: That you will not oppress [tawru]. My father said: This hadith is incorrect; the authentic version from 'A'ishah is mawquf (attributed only to the Companion). It was narrated from Ibn 'Abbas, 'A'ishah, Mujahid, 'Ikrimah, al-Hasan, Abu Malik, Abu Razin, al-Nakha'i, al-Sha'bi, al-Dahhak, 'Ata' al-Khurasani, Qatadah, al-Suddi, and Muqatil ibn Hayyan that they said: That you will not incline [towards one more than others].

And the third perspective:
4764 - Abu Muhammad ibn ibn al-Shafi'i informed us in what he wrote to me, from his father or his uncle, from Sufyan ibn 'Uyaynah, regarding His saying: "That is more likely that you will not deviate [ta'ulu]," meaning: That you will not become poor.

4765 - Ahmad ibn Mahdi narrated to us, Yahya ibn 'Abd al-Hamid narrated to us, Hushaym narrated to us, from Sayyar Abu al-Hakam, from Abu Salih, he said: A man would, when he married a widow, take her dowry for himself, so Allah forbade them from that and revealed: "And give the women their bridal gifts [saduqatihinna] as a free gift [nihlah]."
