The second interpretation:
5122 - 'Ali ibn al-Husayn narrated to us, Hisham ibn Khalid narrated to us, Makhlad ibn Husayn narrated to us, Hisham—meaning: Ibn Hassan—narrated to us, from Ibn Sirin, from 'Ubaydah regarding: "And permitted to you are [all that is] beyond that," meaning: from the slave women, meaning: the concubines. 'Ali ibn al-Husayn said: It is only: Tammam ibn Najih, from al-Hasan.
The third interpretation:
5123 - Ahmad ibn 'Uthman ibn Hakim al-Awdi narrated to us, Ahmad ibn Mufaddal narrated to us, Asbat narrated to us, from al-Suddi regarding: "And permitted to you are [all that is] beyond that," he said: That which is less than four.
His saying, the Almighty: "[all of this] as a seeking [to marry] with your wealth."
5124 - My father narrated to us, Abu Salih, the scribe of al-Layth, narrated to us, Mu'awiyah ibn Salih narrated to me, from 'Ali ibn Abi Talhah, from Ibn 'Abbas regarding his saying: "[as a] seeking [to marry]," he said: In purchase and sale.
His saying, the Almighty: "desiring chastity"
5125 - Hajjaj ibn Hamzah narrated to us, Shababah narrated to us, Warqa' narrated to us, from Ibn Abi Najih, from Mujahid(1) regarding his saying: "desiring chastity," he said: Getting married.
5126 - I read to Muhammad ibn al-Fadl ibn Musa, Muhammad ibn 'Ali narrated to us, Muhammad ibn Muzahim informed us, from Bukayr ibn Ma'ruf, from Muqatil ibn Hayyan, regarding his saying: "desiring chastity," he said: For their private parts.
His saying, the Almighty: "not illicit sexual intercourse"

5127 - Hajjaj ibn Hamzah narrated to us, Shababah narrated to us, Warqa' narrated to us, from Ibn Abi Najih, from Mujahid, regarding his saying: "not illicit sexual intercourse," he said: Committing adultery with every adulteress.
5128 - I read to Muhammad ibn 'Abd Allah ibn 'Abd al-Hakam, Ibn Wahb informed us, 'Amr ibn al-Harith informed me that Bukayr ibn 'Abd Allah ibn al-Ashajj narrated to him, that Abu al-Samh, the freed slave of Banu Hashim, narrated to him that a man came to Ibn 'Abbas and asked him about "al-sifah" (illicit sexual intercourse), he said: Adultery. Similar to this has been narrated from al-Suddi and Muqatil ibn Hayyan.

٥١٢٢ - حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ الْحُسَيْنِ، ثنا هِشَامُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ، ثنا مَخْلَدُ بْنُ حُسَيْنٍ، ثنا هِشَامُ يَعْنِي: ابْنَ حَسَّانَ، عَنِ ابْنِ سِيرِينَ، عَنْ عُبَيْدَةَ وَأُحِلَّ لَكُمْ مَا وَرَاءَ ذَلِكُمْ:
مِنَ الإِمَاءِ يَعْنِي: السَّرَارِيَّ- قَالَ عَلِيُّ بْنُ الْحُسَيْنِ: إِنَّمَا هُوَ: تَمَّامُ بْنُ نَجِيحٍ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ.
وَالْوَجْهُ الثَّالِثُ:
٥١٢٣ - حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ حَكِيمٍ الأَوْدِيُّ، ثنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مُفَضَّلٍ، ثنا أَسْبَاطٌ، عَنِ السُّدِّيِّ وَأُحِلَّ لَكُمْ مَا وراء ذلكم قال: مادون الأَرْبَعِ.
قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: أَنْ تَبْتَغُوا بِأَمْوَالِكُمْ
٥١٢٤ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي، ثنا أَبُو صَالِحٍ كَاتِبُ اللَّيْثِ، حَدَّثَنِي مُعَاوِيَةُ بْنُ صَالِحٍ، عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ أَبِي طَلْحَةَ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَوْلَهُ: أَنْ تَبْتَغُوا قَالَ: فِي الشِّرَى وَالْبَيْعِ.
قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: مُحْصِنِينَ
٥١٢٥ - حَدَّثَنَا حَجَّاجُ بْنُ حَمْزَةَ، ثنا شَبَابَةُ، ثنا وَرْقَاءُ، عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي نَجِيحٍ، عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ «١» قَوْلَهُ: مُحْصِنَينَ قَالَ: مُتَنَاكِحِينَ.
٥١٢٦ - قَرَأْتُ عَلَى مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْفَضْلِ بْنِ مُوسَى، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ، أَنْبَأَ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مُزَاحِمٍ، عَنْ بُكَيْرِ بْنِ مَعْرُوفٍ، عَنْ مُقَاتِلِ بْنِ حَيَّانَ قوله: مُحْصِنِينَ قَالَ:
لِفُرُوجِهِنَّ.
قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: غَيْرَ مُسَافِحِينَ

٥١٢٧ - حَدَّثَنَا حَجَّاجُ بْنُ حَمْزَةَ، ثنا شَبَابَةُ، ثنا وَرْقَاءُ، عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي نَجِيحٍ عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ قَوْلَهُ: غَيْرَ مُسَافِحِينَ قَالَ: زَانِينَ بِكُلِّ زَانِيَةٍ.
٥١٢٨ - قَرَأْتُ عَلَى مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْحَكَمِ، أَنْبَأَ ابْنُ وَهْبٍ، أَخْبَرَنِي عَمْرُو بْنُ الْحَارِثِ أَنَّ بُكَيْرَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بن الأَشَجَّ حَدَّثَهُ، أَنَّ أَبَا السَّمْحِ مَوْلَى بَنِي هَاشِمٍ حَدَّثَهُ، أَنَّ رَجُلا أَتَى ابْنَ عَبَّاسٍ فَسَأَلَهُ عَنِ السِّفَاحِ قَالَ: الزِّنَا- وَرُوِيَ عَنِ السُّدِّيِّ وَمُقَاتِلِ بْنِ حَيَّانَ نَحْوُ ذلك.
