5203 - Kathir ibn Shihab al-Madhhiji al-Qazwini narrated to us, Muhammad ibn Sa'id narrated to us, 'Amr narrated to us, from Mutarrif, from Abu Ishaq, from 'Ubayd Allah ibn 'Umayr, who said: The major sins are seven, and he followed each one with an ayah: "Whoever associates partners with Allah..." (the ayah); "And whoever kills a believer..." (the ayah); "Indeed, those who consume the wealth of orphans..." (the ayah); "Indeed, those who slander chaste women..." (the ayah); "O you who have believed, when you meet those who disbelieve advancing [in battle]..." (the entire ayah).

5204 - My father narrated to us, 'Ubayd Allah ibn Musa narrated to us, Israel reported to us, from Abu Ishaq, from 'Ubayd ibn 'Umayr, who said: There are seven, then he mentioned similar to it and added: Reverting to bedouin life after the migration, then he recited: "Indeed, those who reverted upon their backs..." (1)

The report that contains [the sin of] insulting a Muslim:

5205 - My father narrated to us, 'Abd al-Rahman ibn Ibrahim Duhaym narrated to us, 'Amr ibn Abi Salamah narrated to us, Zuhayr ibn Muhammad narrated to us, from al-'Ala' ibn 'Abd al-Rahman, from his father, from Abu Hurayrah, that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Among the greatest of the major sins is a person's overstepping bounds regarding the honor of a Muslim man, and the two swearings, and the abuse." (2)

5206 - Abu Zur'ah narrated to us, 'Uthman ibn Abi Shaybah narrated to us, Jarir narrated to us, from Mughirah, who said: It used to be said that abusing Abu Bakr and 'Umar is among the major sins. (3)

The report that mentions combining two prayers without an excuse:

5207 - My father narrated to us, Nu'aym ibn Hammad narrated to us, Mu'tamir ibn Sulayman narrated to us, from his father, from Hanash, from 'Ikrimah, from Ibn 'Abbas, from the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), who said: "Whoever combines two prayers without an excuse has entered a gate among the gates of the major sins." (4)

5208 - Al-Hasan ibn Muhammad al-Sabbah narrated to us, Isma'il ibn 'Ulayyah narrated to us, from Khalid al-Hadhdha', from Humayd ibn Hilal, from Abu Qatadah—meaning: al-'Adawi—who said: The letter of Ma'mar was read to us: Among the major sins is combining two prayers, meaning: without an excuse. (5)

٥٢٠٣ - حَدَّثَنَا كَثِيرُ بْنُ شِهَابٍ الْمَذْحِجِيُّ الْقَزْوِينِيُّ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ ثنا عَمْرٌو، عَنْ مُطَرِّفٍ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَيْرٍ قَالَ: الْكَبَائِرُ سَبْعٌ، يَتْلُو بِكُلِّ وَاحِدَةٍ آيَةً: مَنْ يُشْرِكْ بِاللَّهِ الآيَةَ وَمَنْ يَقْتُلْ مُؤْمِناً الآيَةَ إِنَّ الَّذِينَ يَأْكُلُونَ أَمْوَالَ الْيَتَامَى الآيَةَ إِنَّ الَّذِينَ يَرْمُونَ الْمُحْصَنَاتِ الآيَةَ يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا إِذَا لَقِيتُمُ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا زَحْفاً الآيَةَ كُلَّهَا.

٥٢٠٤ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي، ثنا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُوسَى، أَنْبَأَ إِسْرَائِيلُ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ، عن عبيد ابن عُمَيْرٍ قَالَ: سَبْعٌ، فَذَكَرَ نَحْوَهُ، وَزَادَ فِيهِ: التَّعَرُّبُ بَعْدَ الْهِجْرَةِ، ثُمَّ قَرَأَ: إِنَّ الَّذِينَ ارْتَدُّوا عَلَى أَدْبَارِهِمْ «١» .

الْخَبَرُ الَّذِي فِيهِ سَبُّ الْمُسْلِمِ:

٥٢٠٥ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي، ثنا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ دُحَيْمٌ، ثنا عَمْرُو بْنُ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ، ثنا زُهَيْرُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ، عَنِ الْعَلاءِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ أَن ّرَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: مِنْ أَكْبَرِ الْكَبَائِرِ اسْتِطَالَةُ الْمَرْءِ فِي عِرْضِ الرَّجُلِ الْمُسْلِمِ وَالسَّبَّتَانِ وَالسَّبَهُ «٢» .

٥٢٠٦ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو زُرْعَةَ، ثنا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، ثنا جَرِيرٌ، عَنْ مُغِيرَةَ قَالَ: كَانَ يُقَالُ: شَتْمُ أَبِي بَكْرٍ وَعُمَرَ، مِنَ الْكَبَائِرِ «٣» .

الْخَبَرُ الَّذِي ذُكِرَ فِيهِ الْجَمْعُ بَيْنَ الصَّلاتَيْنِ مِنْ غَيْرِ عُذْرٍ.

٥٢٠٧ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي، ثنا نُعَيْمُ بْنُ حَمَّادٍ، ثنا مُعْتَمِرُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ حَنَشٍ، عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: مَنْ جَمَعَ بَيْنَ الصَّلاتَيْنِ مِنْ غَيْرِ عُذْرٍ فَقَدْ أَتَى بَابًا مِنْ أبو أب الْكَبَائِرِ «٤» .

٥٢٠٨ - حَدَّثَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الصَّبَّاحِ، ثنا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ عُلَيَّةَ، عَنْ خَالِدٍ الْحَذَّاءِ، عَنْ حُمَيْدِ بْنِ هِلالٍ، عَنْ أَبِي قَتَادَةَ يَعْنِي: الْعَدَوِيَّ قَالَ: قُرِئَ عَلَيْنَا كِتَابُ مَعْمَرٍ: مِنَ الْكَبَائِرِ جَمْعٌ بَيْنَ الصَّلاتَيْنِ، يَعْنِي: مِنْ غَيْرِ عذر «٥» .
