[The Second Aspect]
5435 - My father narrated to us, Abu Salih narrated to us, Mu'awiyah ibn Salih narrated to me, from 'Ali ibn Abi Talhah, from Ibn 'Abbas regarding "And they will not be wronged, not even by a fatil (a tiny thread)", he means: that which is in the cleft, which is in the pit of the date stone.
5436 - Abu Sa'id al-Ashajj narrated to us, Waki' narrated to us, from Talhah ibn 'Amr, from 'Ata' who said: The fatil is that which is in the pit of the date stone. It was narrated from al-Hasan, 'Ikrimah, Mujahid, al-Dahhak, 'Atiyyah al-'Awfi, Khusayf, and Qatadah something similar to that.
His saying, the Exalted: "Look at how they invent lies about Allah, and sufficient is that as a clear sin."

5437 - Abu Zur'ah narrated to us, Minjab ibn al-Harith narrated to us, Bishr ibn 'Umarah informed us, from Abu Rawq, from al-Dahhak, from Ibn 'Abbas regarding his saying: "They invent," he said: They lie.
[The Second Aspect]
5438 - Muhammad ibn Yahya narrated to us, al-'Abbas ibn al-Walid al-Narsi informed us, Yazid ibn Zuray' narrated to us, Sa'id narrated to us, from Qatadah regarding his saying: "They invent," meaning: They commit shirk (polytheism).

5439 - Muhammad ibn Hammad al-Tehrani Abu 'Abd Allah narrated to us, Hafs ibn 'Umar al-'Adani narrated to us, al-Hakam ibn Aban narrated to us, from 'Ikrimah: Al-Nadr—who was from the tribe of Banu 'Abd al-Dar—said: When the Day of Resurrection comes, al-Lat and al-'Uzza will intercede for me. So Allah, the Exalted, revealed: "He has invented a lie about Allah."
His saying, the Exalted: "Have you not seen those who were given a portion of the Book?"
5440 - It was mentioned from Muhammad ibn Bashshar and Muhammad ibn Abi Bakr al-Muqaddami that they said: Ibn Abi 'Adi narrated to us, he said: Dawud ibn Abi Hind informed us, from 'Ikrimah, from Ibn 'Abbas who said: When Ka'b ibn al-Ashraf came to Makkah, Quraysh said: "He is the best of the people of Madinah," or "The best of the people of Madinah and their master. Do you not look at this man who claims that he is better than us, while we are the people of the Hajj, the people of the Custodianship of the Ka'bah (al-Sadanah), and the people of the Water-giving (al-Siqayah)? Or this man whose people have abandoned him? He claims that he is better than us." He said: "Rather, you are better than him." So it was revealed: "Indeed, your enemy is the one cut off."

٥٤٣٥ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي، ثنا أَبُو صَالِحٍ، حَدَّثَنِي مُعَاوِيَةُ بْنُ صَالِحٍ، عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ أَبِي طَلْحَةَ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ وَلا يُظْلَمُونَ فَتِيلا يَعْنِي: الَّذِي فِي الشِّقِّ الَّذِي فِي بَطْنِ النَّوَاةِ.
٥٤٣٦ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو سَعِيدٍ الأَشَجُّ، ثنا وَكِيعٌ، عَنْ طَلْحَةَ بْنِ عَمْرٍو، عَنْ عَطَاءٍ قَالَ:
الْفَتِيلُ: الَّذِي فِي بَطْنِ النَّوَاةِ- وَرُوِيَ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ وَعِكْرِمَةَ وَمُجَاهِدٍ وَالضَّحَّاكِ وَعَطِيَّةَ الْعَوْفِيِّ، وَخُصَيْفٍ، وَقَتَادَةَ نَحْوُ ذَلِكَ.
قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: انْظُرْ كَيْفَ يَفْتَرُونَ عَلَى اللَّهِ الْكَذِبَ وَكَفَى بِهِ إِثْمًا مبينا

٥٤٣٧ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو زُرْعَةَ، ثنا مِنْجَابُ بْنُ الْحَارِثِ، أَنْبَأَ بِشْرُ بْنُ عُمَارَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي رَوْقٍ، عَنِ الضَّحَّاكِ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَوْلَهُ: يَفْتَرُونَ قَالَ: يَكْذِبُونَ.

٥٤٣٨ - حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى، أَنْبَأَ الْعَبَّاسُ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ النَّرْسِيُّ، ثنا يَزِيدُ بْنُ زُرَيْعٍ، ثنا سَعِيدٍ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ قَوْلَهُ: يَفْتَرُونَ أَيْ: يُشْرِكُونَ.

٥٤٣٩ - حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ حَمَّادٍ الطِّهْرَانِيُّ أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، ثنا حَفْصُ بْنُ عُمَرَ الْعَدَنِيُّ، ثنا الْحَكَمُ بْنُ أَبَانَ، عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ: قَالَ النَّضْرُ وَهُوَ مِنْ بَنِي عَبْدِ الدَّارِ: إِذَا كَانَ يَوْمُ الْقِيَامَةِ شَفَعَتْ لِي اللاتُ وَالْعُزَّى فَأَنْزَلَ اللَّهُ تَعَالَى: افْتَرَى عَلَى اللَّهِ كَذِباً
قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: أَلَمْ تَرَ إِلَى الَّذِينَ أُوتُوا نصيبا من الْكِتَابِ
٥٤٤٠ - ذُكِرَ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ بَشَّارٍ وَمُحَمَّدِ بْنِ أَبِي بَكْرٍ الْمُقَدَّمِيِّ قَالا: ثنا ابْنُ أَبِي عَدِيٍّ، قَالَ: أَنْبَأَ دَاوُدُ بْنُ أَبِي هِنْدَ، عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ: لَمَّا قَدِمَ كَعْبُ بْنُ الْأَشْرَفِ مَكَّةَ قَالَتْ قُرَيْشٌ: أَنَّهُ خَيْرُ أَهْلِ الْمَدِينَةِ، أَوْ خَيْرُ أَهْلِ الْمَدِينَةِ وَسَيِّدُهُمْ، أَلا تَرَى إِلَى هَذَا الَّذِي يَزْعُمَ إِنَّهَ خَيْرٌ مِنَّا وَنَحْنُ أَهْلُ الْحَجِيجِ وَأَهْلُ السَّدَانَةِ وَأَهْلُ السِّقَايَةِ، أَمْ هَذَا الْمُنْبَتِرُ قَوْمَهُ، يَزْعُمُ أَنَّهُ خَيْرٌ مِنَّا. قَالَ: بَلْ أَنْتُمْ خَيْرٌ مِنْهُ فَنَزَلَتْ: إِنَّ شَانِئَكَ
