5483 - Abu 'Ubaydah al-Sari ibn Yahya ibn al-Sari informed us in what he wrote to me, Qabisah ibn 'Uqbah narrated to us, Yunus ibn Abi Ishaq narrated to us, from his father, from Ibn Abjar, regarding 'And We have given them a great kingdom,' he said: 'The dominion and the armies.'
His saying, the Exalted: 'And among them are those who believed in it.'

5484 - Hajjaj ibn Hamzah narrated to us, Shababah narrated to us, Warqa' narrated to us, from Ibn Abi Najih, from Mujahid, regarding His saying: 'And among them are those who believed in it,' he says: 'In what was sent down to Muhammad, from among the Jews, and among them are those who turned away from it.'
5485 - Al-Hasan ibn Ahmad narrated to us, Musa ibn Muhkam narrated to us, Abu Bakr al-Hanafi narrated to us, 'Abbad ibn Mansur narrated to us, from al-Hasan, regarding His saying: 'And among them are those who believed in it and followed it.'

5486 - Abu Zur'ah narrated to us, 'Amr ibn Hammad narrated to us, Asbat narrated to us, from al-Suddi, he said: 'People used to come to Abraham the Friend (al-Khalil), peace be upon him, and ask him, meaning: for wheat, and he would say: "Whoever says: There is no god but Allah, let him enter and take." So among them were those who said it and took [it], and that is the saying of Allah, the Exalted: "And among them are those who believed in it."'
His saying, the Exalted: 'And among them are those who turned away from it.'

5487 - Al-Hasan ibn Ahmad ibn Mansur narrated to us, Musa ibn Muhkam narrated to us, Abu Bakr al-Hanafi informed us, 'Abbad ibn Mansur narrated to us, from al-Hasan, regarding His saying: 'And among them are those who turned away from it,' he says: 'He left it and did not follow it.'

So among them were those who said it and took [it], and among them were those who refused, so they turned back, and that is the saying of Allah, the Exalted: "And among them are those who believed in it, and among them are those who turned away from it."
