5489 - Abu Bakr ibn Abi Musa al-Kufi narrated to us, Harun ibn Hatim narrated to us, 'Abd al-Rahman ibn Abi Hammad narrated to us, from Asbat, from al-Suddi, from Abu Malik, regarding His saying: 'A blazing fire (sa'iran),' he means: Fuel.

[The Second Aspect]

5490 - My father narrated to us, Yahya ibn 'Abd al-Hamid narrated to us, from Yahya ibn Yaman, from Sufyan, from Salamah ibn Kuhayl, from Sa'id ibn Jubayr, he said: 'The blazing fire (al-sa'ir): A valley of intense heat in Hell.'

His saying, the Exalted: 'Indeed, those who disbelieve in Our verses - We will drive them into a Fire'

5491 - Abu Sa'id al-Ashajj narrated to us, Ibn Fudayl narrated to us, from his father, from Isma'il ibn Muslim, from al-Hasan, regarding His saying: 'We will drive them (sawfa nuslihim),' he said: 'A threat.'

His saying, the Exalted: 'Every time their skins are roasted'

5492 - 'Ali ibn al-Husayn narrated to us, 'Uthman ibn Abi Shaybah narrated to us, Jarir narrated to us, from al-A'mash, from Thuwayr, from Ibn 'Umar, regarding His saying: 'Every time their skins are roasted,' he said: 'When their skins are burned.'

5493 - It was mentioned from Hisham ibn 'Ammar, Sa'id ibn Yahya narrated to us - meaning: Sa'dan -, Nafi' the freed slave of Yusuf al-Sulami al-Basri narrated to us, from Nafi', from Ibn 'Umar, he said: 'A man recited this verse in the presence of 'Umar: "Every time their skins are roasted, We will replace them with other skins." 'Umar said: "Repeat it to me." He repeated it to him. Mu'adh ibn Jabal said: "I have its interpretation: they are replaced in an hour a hundred times." 'Umar said: "That is how I heard the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, say [it]."

5494 - 'Ali ibn al-Husayn narrated to us, 'Uthman ibn Abi Shaybah narrated to us, Jarir narrated to us, from al-A'mash, from Thuwayr, from Ibn 'Umar, regarding His saying: 'Every time their skins are roasted, We will replace them with other skins,' he said: 'When their skins are burned, they are replaced with white skins like parchment.'

5495 - My father narrated to us, Ahmad ibn 'Abd al-Rahman narrated to us, 'Abd Allah ibn Abi Ja'far narrated to us, from his father, from al-Rabi' ibn Anas, regarding His saying: 'Every time their skins are roasted, We will replace them with other skins,' he said: 'We heard that it is written in the first Book that the skin of one of them will be forty cubits, his molar tooth will be ninety cubits, and his abdomen, if a mountain were placed inside it, would accommodate it. So when the fire consumes their skins, they are replaced with other skins.'
