5578 - Muhammad ibn Hammad al-Tehrani narrated to us, Hafs ibn 'Umar informed us, al-Hakam informed us from 'Ikrimah, who said: A young man came to the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, and said: "O Prophet of Allah, we have the pleasure of seeing you in this world, but on the Day of Resurrection, we will not see you because you will be in the highest ranks of Paradise." Then the Almighty and Majestic revealed: "And whoever obeys Allah and the Messenger—those will be with the ones upon whom Allah has bestowed favor of the prophets, the steadfast affirmers of truth, the martyrs and the righteous. And excellent are those as companions." The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, said to him: "You will be with me in Paradise, if Allah wills."
5579 - Abu Zur'ah narrated to us, Yunus—meaning Ibn 'Abd al-A'la—narrated to us, Ibn Wahb informed us, who said: I heard Malik saying: I heard that man—meaning 'Abd Allah ibn Yazid ibn Hurmuz—while he was describing Medina and its merit, saying: "The nobles of this nation will be raised from it on the Day of Resurrection, and surrounding them will be the martyrs, the people of Badr, Uhud, and the Trench." Then Malik recited this verse: "those will be with the ones upon whom Allah has bestowed favor of the prophets, the steadfast affirmers of truth, the martyrs and the righteous. And excellent are those as companions," and the verse following it.
His saying, the Exalted: "That is the bounty from Allah, and sufficient is Allah as Knowing."
5580 - Abu Zur'ah narrated to us, Yahya ibn 'Abd Allah ibn Bukayr narrated to us, 'Abd Allah ibn Lahi'ah narrated to me, 'Ata' ibn Dinar narrated to me, from Sa'id ibn Jubayr regarding Allah's saying "Knowing," meaning: Knowing of them.
His saying, the Exalted: "O you who have believed, take your precaution."
5581 - I read to Muhammad ibn al-Fadl ibn Musa, Muhammad ibn 'Ali ibn al-Hasan ibn Shaqiq narrated to us, Abu Wahb Muhammad ibn Muzahim narrated to us, from Bukayr ibn Ma'ruf, from Muqatil ibn Hayyan, regarding His saying: "O you who have believed, take your precaution," he says: Take your equipment of weapons.
His saying, the Exalted: "and go forth in groups."
5582 - al-Hasan ibn al-Sabah narrated to us, Hajjaj narrated to us, from Ibn Jurayj and 'Uthman ibn 'Ata', from 'Ata', from Ibn 'Abbas: Regarding Surat al-Nisa', "take your precaution and go forth in groups or go forth all together," in bands and divisions. Then it was abrogated that the believers were to all go forth; rather, "why should there not go forth from every division of them a group."
5583 - My father narrated to us, Abu Salih narrated to us, Mu'awiyah ibn Salih narrated to us, from 'Ali ibn Abi Talhah, from Ibn 'Abbas, regarding His saying: "and go forth in groups," he says: In bands, meaning: separate detachments. It has also been narrated from 'Ikrimah, al-Suddi, Qatadah, Muqatil ibn Hayyan, al-Dahhak, 'Ata' al-Khurasani, and Khusayf, similarly.
٥٥٧٨ - حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ حَمَّادٍ الطِّهْرَانِيُّ، أَنْبَأَ حَفْصُ بْنُ عُمَرَ، أَنْبَأَ الْحَكَمُ عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ قَالَ: أَتَى فَتًى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، فَقَالَ: يَا نَبِيَّ اللَّهِ: إِنَّ لَنَا مِنْكَ نَظْرَةً فِي الدُّنْيَا، وَيَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ لَا نَرَاكَ، لأَنَّكَ فِي الْجَنَّةِ فِي الدَّرَجَاتِ الْعُلَى، فَأَنْزَلَ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ فَأُولَئِكَ مَعَ الَّذِينَ أَنْعَمَ اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِمْ مِنَ النَّبِيِّينَ وَالصِّدِّيقِينَ وَالشُّهَدَاءِ وَالصَّالِحِينَ وَحَسُنَ أُولَئِكَ رَفِيقاً فَقَالَ لَهُ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: أَنْتَ مَعِي فِي الْجَنَّةِ إِنْ شَاءَ اللَّهُ.
٥٥٧٩ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو زُرْعَةَ، ثنا يُونُسُ يَعْنِي ابْنَ عَبْدِ الأَعْلَى، أَنْبَأَ ابْنُ وَهْبٍ قَالَ:
سَمِعْتُ مَالِكاً يَقُولُ: قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ ذَلِكَ الرَّجُلَ يَعْنِي عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ يَزِيدَ بْنِ هُرْمُزَ وَهُوَ يَصِفُ الْمَدِينَةَ وَفَضْلَهَا يُبْعَثُ مِنْهَا أَشْرَافُ هَذِهِ الأُمَّةِ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ، وَحَوْلَهَا الشُّهَدَاءُ أَهْلُ بَدْرٍ وَأُحُدٍ وَالْخَنْدَقِ، ثُمَّ تَلا مَالِكٌ هَذِهِ الآيَةَ فَأُولَئِكَ مَعَ الَّذِينَ أَنْعَمَ اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِمْ مِنَ النَّبِيِّينَ وَالصِّدِّيقِينَ وَالشُّهَدَاءِ وَالصَّالِحِينَ وَحَسُنَ أُولَئِكَ رَفِيقًا وَالآيَةَ الَّتِي بَعْدَهَا.
قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: ذَلِكَ الْفَضْلُ مِنَ اللَّهِ وَكَفَى بِاللَّهِ عَلِيماً
٥٥٨٠ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو زُرْعَةَ ثنا يَحْيَى بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ بُكَيْرٍ حَدَّثَنِي عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ لَهِيعَةَ، حَدَّثَنِي عَطَاءُ بْنُ دِينَارٍ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنُ جُبَيْرٍ فِي قَوْلِ اللَّهِ عَلِيماً يَعْنِي عَالِماً بِهَا
قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا خُذُوا حِذْرَكُمْ
٥٥٨١ - قَرَأْتُ عَلَى مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْفَضْلِ بْنِ مُوسَى ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَلِيِّ بْنِ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ شَقِيقٍ، ثنا أَبُو وَهْبٍ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مُزَاحِمٍ عَنْ بُكَيْرِ بْنِ مَعْرُوفٍ عَنْ مُقَاتِلِ بْنِ حَيَّانَ قَوْلَهُ: يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا خُذُوا حِذْرَكُمْ يَقُولُ: خُذُوا عِدَّتَكُمْ مِنَ السِّلاحِ.
قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: فَانْفِرُوا ثُبَاتٍ
٥٥٨٢ - حَدَّثَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ الصَّبَّاحِ، ثنا حَجَّاجٌ عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ وَعُثْمَانَ بْنِ عَطَاءٍ، عَنْ عَطَاءٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ: فِي سُورَةِ النِّسَاءِ خُذُوا حِذْرَكُمْ فَانْفِرُوا ثُبَاتٍ أَوِ انْفِرُوا جَمِيعاً عُصَباً وَفِرَقاً فَنُسِخَ مَا كَانَ الْمُؤْمِنُونَ لِيَنْفِرُوا كَافَّةً فَلَوْلا نَفَرَ مِنْ كُلِّ فِرْقَةٍ مِنْهُمْ طَائِفَةٌ
٥٥٨٣ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي ثنا أَبُو صَالِحٍ ثنا مُعَاوِيَةُ بْنُ صَالِحٍ، عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ أَبِي طَلْحَةَ عَنِ ابْنِ عباس قَوْلَهُ: فَانْفِرُوا ثُبَاتٍ يَقُولُ: عُصَباً يَعْنِي: سَرَايَا مُتَفَرِّقِينَ. وَرُوِيَ عَنِ عِكْرِمَةَ وَالسُّدِّيِّ وَقَتَادَةَ وَمُقَاتِلِ بْنِ حَيَّانَ، وَالضَّحَّاكِ، وَعَطَاءٍ الْخُرَاسَانِيِّ وَخُصَيْفٍ نَحْوُ ذَلِكَ.
