5615 - Al-Hasan ibn Abi al-Rabi' narrated to us, 'Abd al-Razzaq informed us, Ma'mar informed us, from al-Hasan and Qatadah regarding "Take us out of this city whose people are wrongdoers," they both said: He went out from the wrong-doing city towards the righteous city, and death overtook him on the way, so he inclined with his chest towards the righteous city. They said: Nothing else met him but that, so the angels of mercy and the angels of punishment disputed over him. They were ordered to measure which of the two cities was closer to him, and they found him to be closer to the righteous city by a span. Some of them said: Allah drew the righteous city closer to him, so the angels of mercy took his soul.
His saying, the Exalted: "and appoint for us from Yourself a protector"
5616 - Abu Sa'id al-Ashaj narrated to us, 'Ubayd Allah—meaning ibn Musa—narrated to us, from Abu Ja'far—meaning al-Razi—from al-Rabi' ibn Anas: "from Yourself" means from Your presence. It has been narrated from al-Suddi similar to this.
His saying, the Exalted: "and appoint for us from Yourself a helper"
5617 - Abu Sa'id al-Ashaj narrated to us, 'Uqbah—meaning ibn Khalid—narrated to us, from Isra'il, from Jabir, from Mujahid and 'Ikrimah regarding "and appoint for us from Yourself a helper," they both said: A firm argument.
His saying, the Exalted: "those who believe, fight in the cause of Allah"
Its explanation has already preceded.
His saying, the Exalted: "but those who disbelieve fight in the cause of taghut. So fight against the allies of Satan; indeed, the plot of Satan has ever been weak."
5618 - My father narrated to us, Muhammad ibn 'Isa al-Tabba' and al-Nufayli narrated to us, they said: Ghiyath narrated to us, from Khusayf, from Mujahid, from Ibn 'Abbas, he said: If you see Satan, do not fear him, and charge at him, for indeed the plot of Satan has ever been weak. The wording is that of al-Nufayli.
His saying, the Exalted: "Have you not seen those who were told, 'Restrain your hands'"

5619 - Hajjaj ibn Hamzah narrated to us, Shababah narrated to us, Warqa' narrated to us, from Ibn Abi Najih, from Mujahid regarding his saying: "Have you not seen those who were told, 'Restrain your hands'" he said: It was revealed concerning the Jews.
الْوَجْهُ الثَّانِي:
٥٦١٥ - حَدَّثَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ أَبِي الرَّبِيعِ أَنْبَأَ عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ أَنْبَأَ مَعْمَرٌ، عَنِ الْحَسَنِ وَقَتَادَةَ أَخْرِجْنَا مِنْ هَذِهِ الْقَرْيَةِ الظَّالِمِ أَهْلُهَا قَالا: خَرَجَ مِنَ الْقَرْيَةِ الظَّالِمَةِ إِلَى الْقَرْيَةِ الصَّالِحَةِ، فَأَدْرَكَهُ الْمَوْتُ فِي الطَّرِيقِ فَنَأَى بِصَدْرِهِ إلى القرية الصالحة قالا: فما تلاقاه إلا ذلك، فاحتجب فِيهِ مَلائِكَةُ الرَّحْمَةِ وَمَلائِكَةُ الْعَذَابِ، فَأُمِرُوا أَنْ يُقَدِّرُوا أَقْرَبَ الْقَرْيَتَيْنِ إِلَيْهِ، فَوَجَدُوهُ أَقْرَبَ إِلَى الْقَرْيَةِ الصَّالِحَةِ بِشِبْرٍ، وَقَالَ بَعْضُهُمْ: قَرَّبَ اللَّهُ إِلَيْهِ الْقَرْيَةَ الصَّالِحَةَ فَتَوَفَّتْهُ مَلائِكَةُ الرَّحْمَةِ.
قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: وَاجْعَلْ لَنَا مِنْ لَدُنْكَ وَلِيّاً
٥٦١٦ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو سَعِيدٍ الأَشَجُّ ثنا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ- يَعْنِي ابْنَ مُوسَى- عَنْ أَبِي جَعْفَرٍ- يَعْنِي الرَّازِيَّ- عَنِ الرَّبِيعِ بْنِ أَنَسٍ مِنْ لَدُنْكَ مِنْ عِنْدَكِ. وَرُوِيَ عَنِ السُّدِّيِّ مِثْلُ ذَلِكَ.
قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: وَاجْعَلْ لَنَا مِنْ لَدُنْكَ نَصِيراً

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو سَعِيدٍ الْأَشَجُّ، ثنا عُقْبَةُ- يَعْنِي بْنُ خَالِدٍ- عَنْ إِسْرَائِيلَ عَنْ جَابِرٍ، عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ وَعِكْرِمَةَ: وَاجْعَلْ لَنَا مِنْ لَدُنْكَ نَصِيراً قَالا: حُجَّةً ثَابِتَةً.
قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا يقاتلون في سبيل الله
قَدْ تَقَدَّمَ تَفْسِيرُهُ.
قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: وَالَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا يُقَاتِلُونَ فِي سَبِيلِ الطَّاغُوتِ فَقَاتِلُوا أَوْلِيَاءَ الشَّيْطَانِ إِنَّ كَيْدَ الشَّيْطَانِ كان ضعيفا.
٥٦١٨ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عِيسَى الطَّبَّاعُ وَالنُّفَيْلِيُّ قَالا: ثنا غِيَاثٌ عَنْ خُصَيْفٍ عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ: إِذَا رَأَيْتُمُ الشَّيْطَانَ فَلا تَخَافُوهُ وَاحْمِلُوا عَلَيْهِ إِنَّ كَيَدَ الشَّيْطَانِ كَانَ ضَعِيفاً.
وَالسِّيَاقُ لِلنُّفَيْلِيِّ.
قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: أَلَمْ تَرَ إِلَى الَّذِينَ قِيلَ لَهُمْ كُفُّوا أيديكم
