5773 - Muhammad ibn Yahya narrated to us, al-'Abbas ibn al-Walid narrated to us, Yazid ibn Zuray' narrated to us, Sa'id narrated to us, from Qatadah, regarding "to the trial," he said: "A tribulation (bala')."
His saying, the Exalted: "They are relapsed into it."
[5774] My father narrated to us, Ahmad ibn 'Abd al-Rahman al-Dashtaki narrated to us, 'Abd Allah ibn Abi Ja'far narrated to us, from his father, from al-Rabi', from Abu al-'Aliyah, regarding His saying: "Whenever they are returned to the trial, they are relapsed into it," he said: "Whenever they are tried by it, they become blind within it."
His saying, the Exalted: "So if they do not remove themselves from you."
[5775] Hajjaj ibn Hamzah narrated to us, Shababah narrated to us, Warqa' narrated to us, from Ibn Abi Najih, from Mujahid, regarding His saying: "So if they do not remove themselves from you," he said: "He commanded their killing if they do not remove themselves and make peace."
His saying, the Exalted: "Then seize them and kill them wherever you find them."
[5776] 'Ali ibn al-Husayn narrated to us, Abu Bakr and 'Uthman, sons of Abi Shaybah, narrated to us, both saying: Jarir narrated to us, from Layth, from Mujahid, regarding His saying: "Then seize them and kill them," [he said]: "It abrogated what was before it regarding the ransom or the freeing [of captives]."
His saying, the Exalted: "And those, We have given you clear authority over them."
[5777] Ahmad ibn 'Uthman ibn Hakim narrated to us, Ahmad ibn Mufaddal narrated to us, Asbat narrated to us, from al-Suddi, regarding His saying: "And those, We have given you clear authority over them," [he said]: "As for the 'authority' (sultan), it is the proof (hujjah)."
5778 - My father narrated to us, Malik ibn Isma'il narrated to us, Sufyan ibn 'Uyaynah narrated to us, from 'Amr, from 'Ikrimah, from Ibn 'Abbas, who said: "Every 'authority' (sultan) in the Qur'an is a proof (hujjah)." It was narrated from Abu Malik, Muhammad ibn Ka'b, 'Ikrimah, Sa'id ibn Jubayr, al-Dahhak, and al-Nadr ibn 'Arabi the same thing.
His saying, the Exalted: "And it is not [appropriate]."
5779 - Abu Zur'ah narrated to us, Yahya ibn 'Abd Allah ibn Bukayr narrated to us, 'Abd Allah ibn Lahi'ah narrated to me, 'Ata' ibn Dinar narrated to me, from Sa'id ibn Jubayr, regarding His saying: "And it is not [appropriate] for a believer," meaning: "It is not befitting for a believer." And it was narrated from Muqatil ibn Hayyan something similar.

حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي، ثنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الدَّشْتَكِيُّ، ثنا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ أَبِي جَعْفَرٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنِ الرَّبِيعِ، عَنْ أَبِي الْعَالِيَةِ قَوْلَهُ: كُلَّمَا رُدُّوا إِلَى الْفِتْنَةِ أُرْكِسُوا فِيهَا قَالَ: كُلَّمَا ابْتُلُوا بِهَا عَمُوا فِيهَا.
قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: فَإِنْ لَمْ يَعْتَزِلُوكُمْ

حَدَّثَنَا حَجَّاجُ بْنُ حَمْزَةَ، ثنا شَبَابَةُ، ثنا وَرْقَاءُ، عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي نَجِيحٍ عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ قَوْلُهُ: فَإِنْ لَمْ يَعْتَزِلُوكُمْ قَالَ: أَمَرَ بِقِتَالِهِمْ إِنْ لَمْ يَعْتَزِلُوا وَيُصْلِحُوا.
قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: فَخُذُوهُمْ وَاقْتُلُوهُمْ حَيْثُ ثَقِفْتُمُوهُمْ

حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ الْحُسَيْنِ، ثنا أَبُو بَكْرِ وعثمان، بنا أَبِي شَيْبَةَ قَالا: ثنا جَرِيرٌ عَنْ لَيْثٍ، عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ قَوْلُهُ: فَخُذُوهُمْ وَاقْتُلُوهُمْ نَسَخَتْ مَا كان قبلها من من أو فِدًا.
قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: وَأُولَئِكُمْ جَعَلْنَا لَكُمْ عَلَيْهِمْ سُلْطَاناً مُبِيناً

حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ حَكِيمٍ، ثنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مُفَضَّلٍ، ثنا أَسْبَاطٌ عَنِ السُّدِّيِّ قَوْلَهُ: وَأُولَئِكُمْ جَعَلْنَا لَكُمْ عَلَيْهِمْ سُلْطَاناً مُبِيناً أَمَّا السُّلْطَانُ: فَهُوَ الْحُجَّةُ.
٥٧٧٨ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي، ثنا مَالِكُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ، ثنا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ، عَنْ عَمْرٍو عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ: كُلُّ سُلْطَانٍ فِي الْقُرْآنِ حُجَّةٌ. وَرُوِيَ عَنِ أَبِي مَالِكٍ، وَمُحَمَّدِ بْنِ كَعْبٍ، وَعِكْرِمَةَ، وَسَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ، وَالضَّحَّاكِ، وَالنَّضْرِ بْنِ عَرَبِيٍّ مثله.

٥٧٧٩ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو زُرْعَةَ، ثنا يَحْيَى بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ بُكَيْرٍ، حَدَّثَنِي عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ لَهِيعَةَ، حَدَّثَنِي عَطَاءُ بْنُ دِينَارٍ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنُ جُبَيْرٍ قوله: وَمَا كَانَ لِمُؤْمِنٍ يَعْنِي: مَا يَنْبَغِي لِمُؤْمِنٍ. وَرُوِيَ عَنْ مُقَاتِلِ بْنِ حَيَّانَ نَحْوُ ذَلِكَ.
