Translation · EN

His saying, the Exalted: "And you enjoin the good and believe in Allah."

3978 - Through the same chain from Ibn 'Abbas, regarding His saying: "and you enjoin the good," and the Munkar (evil): it is denial, and it is the most evil of evil.

3979 - Abu Zur'ah narrated to us, Yahya ibn 'Abd Allah narrated to us, 'Abd Allah narrated to me, 'Ata' narrated to me, from Sa'id ibn Jubayr regarding His saying: "and believe in Allah," meaning: You affirm the oneness of Allah (Tawhid).

His saying, the Exalted: "And if the People of the Scripture had believed, it would have been better for them."

3980 - 'Ali ibn al-Husayn narrated to us, Muhammad ibn al-'Ala' narrated to us, 'Uthman ibn Sa'id narrated to us, Bishr ibn 'Umarah narrated to us, from Abu Rawq, from al-Dahhak, from Ibn 'Abbas regarding His saying: "believed," he said: Affirmed.

His saying, the Exalted: "Among them are believers."

3981 - Musa ibn Harun al-Tusi informed us in what he wrote to me, al-Husayn ibn Muhammad al-Marwudhi narrated to us, Shayban narrated to us, from Qatadah regarding His saying: "Among them are believers," he said: Allah excepted three from them who were upon guidance and truth.

His saying, the Exalted: "but most of them are defiantly disobedient."

3982 - Muhammad ibn Yahya narrated to us, al-'Abs ibn al-Walid informed us, Yazid ibn Zuray', narrated to us, Sa'id narrated to us, from Qatadah regarding His saying: "but most of them are defiantly disobedient," he said: Allah condemned most of the people.

His saying, the Exalted: "defiantly disobedient."

3983 - Abu Zur'ah narrated to us, Yahya narrated to us, 'Abd Allah narrated to me, 'Ata' narrated to me, from Sa'id ibn Jubayr regarding the saying of Allah the Exalted: "defiantly disobedient," meaning: they are the disobedient ones.

His saying, the Exalted: "They will not harm you except for annoyance. And if they fight you, they will show you their backs; then they will not be aided."

3984 - Al-Hasan ibn Ahmad narrated to us, Musa ibn Muhkam narrated to us, Abu Bakr al-Hanafi informed us, 'Abbad ibn Mansur narrated to us, he said: I asked al-Hasan about His saying: "They will not harm you except for annoyance. And if they fight you, they will show you their backs; then they will not be aided," and he said: They hear lies about Allah, inviting you to misguidance. It was narrated from Qatadah and al-Rabi' something similar.

قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: وَتَنْهَوْنَ عَنِ الْمُنْكَرِ وَتُؤْمِنُونَ بِاللَّهِ

٣٩٧٨ - وَبِهِ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، يَعْنِي قَوْلَهُ: وَتَنْهَوْنَ عَنِ الْمُنْكَرِ وَالْمُنْكَرُ: هُوَ التَّكْذِيبُ وَهُوَ أَنْكَرُ الْمُنْكَرِ.

٣٩٧٩ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو زُرْعَةَ، ثنا يَحْيَى بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، حَدَّثَنِي عَبْدُ اللَّهِ، حَدَّثَنِي عَطَاءٌ عَنِ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ قَوْلُهُ: وَتُؤْمِنُونَ بِاللَّهِ يَعْنِي: تُصَدِّقُونَ تَوْحِيدَ اللَّهِ.

قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: وَلَوْ آمَنَ أَهْلُ الْكِتَابِ لَكَانَ خَيْراً لَهُمْ

٣٩٨٠ - حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ الْحُسَيْنِ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْعَلاءِ، ثنا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، ثنا بِشْرُ بْنُ عُمَارَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي رَوْقٍ عَنِ الضَّحَّاكِ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَوْلَهُ: آمَنَ قَالَ صَدَّقَ.

قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: مِنْهُمُ الْمُؤْمِنُونَ

٣٩٨١ - أَخْبَرَنَا مُوسَى بْنُ هَارُونَ الطُّوسِيُّ فِيمَا كَتَبَ إِلَيَّ، ثنا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْمَرُّوذِيُّ، ثنا شَيْبَانُ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ قَوْلُهُ: مِنْهُمُ الْمُؤْمِنُونَ قَالَ: اسْتَثْنَى اللَّهُ مِنْهُمْ ثَلاثَةً كَانُوا عَلَى الْهُدَى وَالْحَقِّ.

قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: وَأَكْثَرُهُمُ الْفَاسِقُونَ

٣٩٨٢ - حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى، أَنْبَأَ الْعَبْسُ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ، ثنا يَزِيدُ بْنُ زُرَيْعٍ، ثنا سَعِيدٌ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ قَوْلُهُ: وَأَكْثَرُهُمُ الْفَاسِقُونَ قَالَ: ذَمَّ اللَّهُ أَكْثَرَ النَّاسِ.

قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: الْفَاسِقُونَ

٣٩٨٣ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو زُرْعَةَ ثنا يَحْيَى، حَدَّثَنِي عَبْدُ اللَّهِ، حَدَّثَنِي عَطَاءٌ، عَنِ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ فِي قَوْلِ اللَّهِ تَعَالَى: الْفَاسِقُونَ يَعْنِي هُمُ الْعَاصُونَ.

قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: لَنْ يَضُرُّوكُمْ إِلا أَذًى وَإِنْ يُقَاتِلُوكُمْ يُوَلُّوكُمُ الأَدْبَارَ ثُمَّ لا ينصرون

٣٩٨٤ - حَدَّثَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ، ثنا مُوسَى بْنُ مُحْكَمٍ، أَنْبَأَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ الْحَنَفِيُّ، ثنا عَبَّادُ بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ قَالَ: سَأَلْتُ الْحَسَنَ عَنْ قَوْلِهِ: لَنْ يضروكم إلا أذى وإن يقاتلوكم يولوكم الأَدْبَارَ ثُمَّ لا يُنْصَرُونَ فَقَالَ: يَسْمَعُونَ كَذِباً عَلَى اللَّهِ يَدْعُوكُمْ إِلَى الضَّلالَةِ. وَرُوِيَ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ وَالرَّبِيعِ نَحْوُ ذَلِكَ.
