And it was revealed concerning him after the killing of the soul, taking the blood money, and his apostatizing from Islam, and joining Mecca as a disbeliever: "And whoever kills a believer intentionally."
It was narrated from 'Ikrimah that he said: He has repentance.
His saying, the Almighty: "intentionally"
5817 - Abu Zur'ah narrated to us, Yahya ibn 'Abd Allah ibn Bukayr narrated to us, 'Abd Allah ibn Lahi'ah narrated to me, 'Ata' ibn Dinar narrated to me, from Sa'id ibn Jubayr regarding His saying: "And whoever kills a believer intentionally," he said: Intentionally in his killing.
5818 - Abu Sa'id al-Ashajj narrated to us, Abu Khalid narrated to us, from Ibn Jurayj, from whoever heard Sa'id ibn al-Musayyib saying: The intentional [killing] is [with] a needle and what is above it of weaponry.

5819 - My father narrated to me, Muhammad ibn Jami' narrated to us, he said: al-'Ala' ibn Maymun al-'Anazi narrated to me, al-Hajjaj ibn al-Aswad narrated to us, from Muhammad ibn Sirin, from Abu Hurayrah, from the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, regarding His saying: "And whoever kills a believer intentionally, then his recompense is Hell," he said: It is his recompense if He decides to recompense him.
5820 - Abu Zur'ah narrated to us, Minjab narrated to us, Bishr ibn 'Umarah reported from Abu Rawq [who] said: Ibn 'Abbas used to say: "Then his recompense is Hell" if He recompenses him, meaning for the believer, and it is not for the disbeliever. If He wills, He pardons the believer, and if He wills, He punishes. It was narrated from Abu Salih, Muhammad ibn Sirin, Abu Mijlaz, 'Awn ibn 'Abd Allah, and 'Amr ibn Dinar something similar.

5821 - Hajjaj ibn Hamzah narrated to us, Salamah ibn Sulayman al-Marwazi narrated to us, Ibn al-Mubarak reported, al-Mubarak ibn Fadalah reported from al-Hasan regarding this verse, His saying: "Then his recompense is Hell," he said: Allah has made this binding upon you, so look at who will take this away from you and who will give you might, O you wretched one.
His saying, the Almighty: "Abiding therein"
5822 - Abu Zur'ah narrated to us, Yahya ibn 'Abd Allah narrated to us, Ibn Lahi'ah narrated to me, 'Ata' ibn Dinar narrated to me, from Sa'id ibn Jubayr regarding His saying: "Abiding therein," so He determined for him eternal abode in the Fire due to his disbelief, just as He determined for those who disbelieve regarding the distribution of inheritances.
(1). This chain of transmission is circulating from Abu Rawq from al-Dahhak—and it is an omission.
فَنَزَلَتْ فِيهِ بَعْدَ قَتْلِ النَّفْسِ وَأَخْذِ الدِّيَةِ وَارْتَدَّ عَنِ الإِسْلامِ وَلَحِقَ بِمَكَّةَ كَافِراً وَمَنْ يقتل مؤمنا متعمدا.
وَرُوِيَ عَنِ عِكْرِمَةَ أَنَّهُ قَالَ: لَهُ تَوْبَةٌ.

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو زُرْعَةَ، ثنا يَحْيَى بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ بُكَيْرٍ، حَدَّثَنِي عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ لَهِيعَةَ، حَدَّثَنِي عَطَاءُ بْنُ دِينَارٍ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنُ جُبَيْرٍ قَوْلَهُ: وَمَنْ يَقْتُلْ مُؤْمِناً مُتَعَمِّداً قَالَ: مُتَعَمِّداً لِقَتْلِهِ.
٥٨١٨ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو سَعِيدٍ الأَشَجُّ، ثنا أَبُو خَالِدٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ، عَمَّنْ سَمِعَ سعيد ابن الْمُسَيِّبِ يَقُولُ: الْعَمْدُ: الإِبْرَةُ فَمَا فَوْقَهَا مِنَ السلاح.

٥٨١٩ - حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَامِعٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي الْعَلاءُ بْنُ مَيْمُونٍ الْعَنَزِيُّ، ثنا الْحَجَّاجُ بْنُ الأَسْوَدِ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سِيرِينَ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي قَوْلِهِ: وَمَنْ يَقْتُلْ مُؤْمِناً مُتَعَمِّداً فجزاؤه جهنم قال: هو جزاءه إِنْ جَازَاهُ.
٥٨٢٠ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو زُرْعَةَ، ثنا مِنْجَابٌ، أَنْبَأَ بِشْرٌ بْنُ عُمَارَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي رَوْقٍ «١» قَالَ:
وَكَانَ ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ يَقُولُ: فَجَزَاؤُهُ جَهَنَّمَ إِنْ جَازَاهُ يَعْنِي لِلْمُؤْمِنِ وَلَيْسَ لِلْكَافِرٍ، فَإِنْ شَاءَ عَفَى عَنِ الْمُؤْمِنِ وَإِنْ شَاءَ عَاقَبَ. وَرُوِيَ عَنِ أَبِي صَالِحٍ، وَمُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سِيرِينَ، وَأَبِي مِجْلَزٍ، وَعَوْنِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، وَعَمْرِو بْنُ دِينَارٍ نَحْوُ ذَلِكَ
وَالْوَجْهُ الثَّانِي:
٥٨٢١ - حَدَّثَنَا حَجَّاجُ بْنُ حَمْزَةَ، ثنا سَلَمَةُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ الْمَرْوَزِيُّ، أَنْبَأَ ابْنُ الْمُبَارَكِ، أَنْبَأَ الْمُبَارَكُ بْنُ فَضَالَةَ، عَنِ الْحَسَنِ فِي هَذِهِ الآيَةِ قَوْلَهُ: فَجَزَاؤُهُ جَهَنَّمَ قَالَ: قَدْ أَوْجَبَ اللَّهُ هَذَا عَلَيْكَ، فَانْظُرْ مَنْ يَضَعُ هَذَا عَنْكَ وَمَنْ يَعِزُّكَ يَا لُكَعُ.

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو زُرْعَةَ، ثنا يَحْيَى بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، حَدَّثَنِي ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ، حَدَّثَنِي عَطَاءُ ابْنُ دِينَارٍ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ قَوْلَهُ: خَالِداً فِيهَا فَجَعَلَ لَهُ الْخُلُودَ فِي النَّارِ بِكُفْرِهِ، كَمَا جعل لمن كفر بقسمة المواريث.
