His saying, Exalted is He: "Will find in the earth many places of refuge."
[The First Interpretation]
5878 - My father narrated to us, Abu Salih narrated to us, Mu'awiyah ibn Salih narrated to me, from 'Ali ibn Abi Talhah, from Ibn 'Abbas regarding His saying: "Many places of refuge," he said: The "muragham" (place of refuge) is the moving from one land to another. It was narrated from al-Dahhak, al-Rabi' ibn Anas, and al-Thawri something similar.

5879 - Hajjaj ibn Hamzah narrated to us, Shababah narrated to us, Warqa' narrated to us, from Ibn Abi Najih, from Mujahid regarding His saying: "Will find in the earth many places of refuge and abundance," he said: A means of shifting away from what he dislikes.
[The Third Interpretation]
5880 - My father narrated to us, 'Abd al-'Aziz ibn al-Mughirah narrated to us, Yazid ibn Zuray' informed us, from Sa'id, Qatadah narrated to us, he said: "Will find in the earth many places of refuge," he said: Yes, by Allah, from misguidance to guidance, and from poverty to wealth.

5881 - Ahmad ibn 'Uthman ibn Hakim al-Awdi narrated to us, Ahmad ibn Mufaddal narrated to us, Asbat narrated to us, from al-Suddi regarding His saying: "Will find in the earth many places of refuge," he says: A pursuit of livelihood.

5882 - 'Ali ibn al-Hasan al-Hisinjani narrated to us, Ibn Abi Maryam narrated to us, Mufaddal ibn Fada'lah informed us, Abu Sakhr narrated to me: "Will find in the earth many places of refuge," he said: Much room and abundance.

5883 - Muhammad ibn Yahya al-Wasiti narrated to us, Khabbab ibn Nafi' narrated to me, Sufyan—meaning Ibn 'Uyaynah—said: "Will find in the earth many places of refuge," he said: The "muragham" is leaving (the land).

٥٨٧٨ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي، ثنا أَبُو صَالِحٍ، حَدَّثَنِي مُعَاوِيَةُ بْنُ صَالِحٍ، عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ أَبِي طَلْحَةَ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَوْلَهُ: مُرَاغَماً كَثِيراً قَالَ: الْمُرَاغَمُ: التَّحَوُّلُ مِنَ الأَرْضِ إِلَى الأَرْضِ.
وَرُوِيَ عَنِ الضَّحَّاكِ، وَالرَّبِيعِ بْنِ أَنَسٍ، وَالثَّوْرِيِّ نَحْوُ ذَلِكَ.
وَالْوَجْهُ الثَّانِي:
٥٨٧٩ - حَدَّثَنَا حَجَّاجُ بْنُ حَمْزَةَ، ثنا شَبَابَةُ، ثنا وَرْقَاءُ، عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي نَجِيحٍ عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ «١»
قَوْلَهُ: يَجِدْ فِي الأَرْضِ مُرَاغَماً كَثِيراً وَسَعَةً قَالَ: مُتَزَحْزَحاً عَمَّا يَكْرَهُ.
وَالْوَجْهُ الثَّالِثُ:
٥٨٨٠ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي، ثنا عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ بْنُ الْمُغِيرَةِ، أَنْبَأَ يَزِيدُ بْنُ زُرَيْعٍ، عَنْ سَعِيدٍ، ثنا قَتَادَةُ قَالَ: يَجِدْ فِي الأَرْضِ مُرَاغَماً كَثِيراً قَالَ: أَيْ وَاللَّهِ مِنَ الضَّلالَةِ إِلَى الْهُدَى، وَمِنَ الْعَيْلَةِ إِلَى الْغِنَى.
وَالْوَجْهُ الرَّابِعُ:
٥٨٨١ - حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ حَكِيمٍ الأَوْدِيُّ، ثنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مُفَضَّلٍ، ثنا أَسْبَاطٌ، عَنِ السُّدِّيِّ قَوْلَهُ: يَجِدْ فِي الأَرْضِ مُرَاغَماً كَثِيراً يَقُولُ: مُبْتَغَا الْمَعِيشَةِ.
وَالْوَجْهُ الْخَامِسُ:
٥٨٨٢ - حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ الْهِسِنْجَانِيُّ، ثنا ابْنُ أَبِي مَرْيَمَ، أَنْبَأَ مُفَضَّلُ بْنُ فَضَالَةَ، حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو صَخْرٍ: يَجِدْ فِي الأَرْضِ مُرَاغَماً كَثِيراً قَالَ: مُنْفَسِحاً كَثِيرَةً وَسَعَةً.
وَالْوَجْهُ السَّادِسُ:
٥٨٨٣ - حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى الْوَاسِطِيُّ، حَدَّثَنِي خَبَّابُ بْنُ نَافِعٍ قَالَ سُفْيَانُ يَعْنِي ابْنَ عُيَيْنَةَ: يَجِدْ فِي الأرض مراغما كثيرا قال: المراغم: البروح.
