His saying, Exalted is He: "Will find in the earth many places of refuge."

5878 - My father narrated to us, Abu Salih narrated to us, Mu'awiyah ibn Salih narrated to me, from 'Ali ibn Abi Talhah, from Ibn 'Abbas regarding His saying: "Many places of refuge," he said: The "muragham" (place of refuge) is the moving from one land to another. It was narrated from al-Dahhak, al-Rabi' ibn Anas, and al-Thawri something similar.

5879 - Hajjaj ibn Hamzah narrated to us, Shababah narrated to us, Warqa' narrated to us, from Ibn Abi Najih, from Mujahid regarding His saying: "Will find in the earth many places of refuge and abundance," he said: A means of shifting away from what he dislikes.
[The Third Interpretation]
5880 - My father narrated to us, 'Abd al-'Aziz ibn al-Mughirah narrated to us, Yazid ibn Zuray' informed us, from Sa'id, Qatadah narrated to us, he said: "Will find in the earth many places of refuge," he said: Yes, by Allah, from misguidance to guidance, and from poverty to wealth.

5881 - Ahmad ibn 'Uthman ibn Hakim al-Awdi narrated to us, Ahmad ibn Mufaddal narrated to us, Asbat narrated to us, from al-Suddi regarding His saying: "Will find in the earth many places of refuge," he says: A pursuit of livelihood.

5882 - 'Ali ibn al-Hasan al-Hisinjani narrated to us, Ibn Abi Maryam narrated to us, Mufaddal ibn Fada'lah informed us, Abu Sakhr narrated to me: "Will find in the earth many places of refuge," he said: Much room and abundance.

5883 - Muhammad ibn Yahya al-Wasiti narrated to us, Khabbab ibn Nafi' narrated to me, Sufyan—meaning Ibn 'Uyaynah—said: "Will find in the earth many places of refuge," he said: The "muragham" is leaving (the land).
