4030 - Abu Yazid al-Qaratisi informed us in what he wrote to me, Asbagh ibn al-Faraj narrated to us, he said: I heard 'Abd al-Rahman ibn Zayd ibn Aslam saying: Then He excused Himself to His creation and said: "Allah has not wronged them" by what He mentioned to you of the punishment of the nations we have punished, "but they wronged themselves."

4031 - Abu Zur'ah narrated to us, Minjab narrated to us, Bishr ibn 'Umarah reported to us, from Abu Rawq, from al-Dahhak, from Ibn 'Abbas regarding His saying: "but they were wronging themselves," he said: They were harming themselves.

4032 - Abu Badr 'Abbad ibn al-Walid al-Ghubari narrated to us, Muhammad ibn 'Abbad al-Huna'i narrated to us, Humayd ibn Mihran al-Maliki al-Khayyat narrated to us, he said: I asked Abu Ghalib about "O you who have believed, do not take as intimates those other than yourselves." He said: Abu Umamah narrated to me, from the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) that he said: "They are the Khawarij."

4034 - Hajjaj ibn Hamzah narrated to us, Shababah narrated to us, Warqa' narrated to us, from Ibn Abi Najih, from Mujahid, regarding His saying: "O you who have believed, do not take as intimates those other than yourselves," he said: Concerning the hypocrites among the people of Medina; He forbade the believers from taking them as allies.
