His saying, the Exalted: "Indeed, Allah is encompassing of what they do."
4066 - And by the same chain from Muqatil ibn Hayyan regarding His saying: "Indeed, Allah is encompassing of what they do," He says: His knowledge encompasses their deeds. Some say it was revealed regarding the hypocrites.
His saying, the Exalted: "And [remember] when you departed from your family to post the believers"
4067 - Hajjaj ibn Hamzah narrated to us, Shababa informed us, Warqa' informed us, from Ibn Abi Najih, from Mujahid, regarding His saying: "And [remember] when you departed from your family to post the believers [in] positions for battle." The Prophet (peace be upon him) walked that day on his own feet to post the believers.
His saying, the Exalted: "To post the believers"
4068 - Abu Zur'ah narrated to us, Yahya ibn 'Abd Allah narrated to us, Ibn Lahi'ah narrated to us, 'Ata' ibn Dinar narrated to me, from Sa'id ibn Jubayr, regarding the saying of Allah: "To post the believers," he said: To settle [them].

[The first interpretation]
4069 - Muhammad ibn Sa'id al-'Awfi informed us in what he wrote to me, my father narrated to me, my uncle al-Husayn narrated to me, from his father, from his grandfather, from Ibn 'Abbas, regarding His saying: "And [remember] when you departed from your family to post the believers [in] positions for battle," and it was the day of Uhud. It was narrated from Qatadah, al-Rabi', and al-Suddi similarly.
And the second interpretation:
4070 - Al-Hasan ibn Ahmad narrated to us, Musa ibn Muhkam narrated to us, Abu Bakr al-Hanafi narrated to us, 'Abbad ibn Mansur narrated to us, he said: I asked al-Hasan about His saying: "And [remember] when you departed from your family to post the believers [in] positions for battle." He said: He means Muhammad (peace be upon him) posting the believers in positions for battle on the day of the Confederates (al-Ahzab).
His saying, the Exalted: "And Allah is Hearing, Knowing"
4071 - Muhammad ibn al-'Abbas narrated to us, Zunayj narrated to us, Salamah narrated to us, he said: Muhammad ibn Ishaq said: Allah the Exalted says to His Prophet: "And [remember] when you departed from your family to post the believers [in] positions for battle, and Allah is Hearing, Knowing," meaning: Hearing of what they say.
His saying, the Exalted: "Knowing"
4072 - And by the same chain from Ibn Ishaq, he said: His saying: "Knowing," meaning: Knowing of what they conceal.
قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: إِنَّ اللَّهَ بِمَا يَعْمَلُونَ مُحِيطٌ
٤٠٦٦ - وَبِهِ عَنْ مُقَاتِلِ بْنِ حَيَّانَ قَوْلَهُ: إِنَّ اللَّهَ بِمَا يَعْمَلُونَ مُحِيطٌ يَقُولُ:
أَحَاطَ عِلْمُهُ بِأَعْمَالِهِمْ، وَمِنْهُمْ مِنْ يَقُولُ: أُنْزِلَتْ فِي الْمُنَافِقِينَ.
قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: وَإِذْ غَدَوْتَ مِنْ أَهْلِكَ تُبَوِّئُ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ
٤٠٦٧ - حَدَّثَنَا حَجَّاجُ بْنُ حَمْزَةَ، ثنا شَبَابَةُ، ثنا وَرْقَاءُ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي نَجِيحٍ عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ قَوْلَهُ: وَإِذْ غَدَوْتَ مِنْ أَهْلِكَ تُبَوِّئُ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ مَقَاعِدَ لِلْقِتَالِ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَشَى يَوْمَئِذٍ عَلَى رِجْلَيْهِ يُبَوِّئُ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ.
قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: تُبَوِّئُ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ
٤٠٦٨ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو زُرْعَةَ، ثنا يَحْيَى بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، ثنا ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ، حَدَّثَنِي عَطَاءُ بْنُ دِينَارٍ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ فِي قَوْلِ اللَّهِ: تُبَوِّئُ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ قال: توطن.

٤٠٦٩ - أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ الْعَوْفِيُّ فِيمَا كَتَبَ إِلَيَّ، حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي، ثنا عَمِّي الْحُسَيْنُ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ جَدِّهِ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَوْلَهُ: وَإِذْ غَدَوْتَ مِنْ أَهْلِكَ تُبَوِّئُ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ مَقَاعِدَ لِلْقِتَالِ وَهُوَ يَوْمُ أُحُدٍ. وَرُوِيَ عَنِ قَتَادَةَ وَالرَّبِيعِ وَالسُّدِّيِّ نَحْوَ ذَلِكَ.
وَالْوَجْهُ الثَّانِي:
٤٠٧٠ - حَدَّثَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ، ثنا مُوسَى بْنُ مُحْكَمٍ ثنا أَبُو بَكْرٍ الْحَنَفِيُّ ثنا عباد ابْنُ مَنْصُورٍ قَالَ: سَأَلْتُ الْحَسَنَ عَنْ قَوْلِهِ: وَإِذْ غَدَوْتَ مِنْ أَهْلِكَ تُبَوِّئُ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ قَالَ: يَعْنِي مُحَمَّداً صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُبَوِّئُ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ مَقَاعِدَ لِلْقِتَالِ يَوْمَ الأَحْزَابِ.
قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: وَاللَّهُ سَمِيعٌ عَلِيمٌ
٤٠٧١ - حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْعَبَّاسِ، ثنا زُنَيْجٌ، ثنا سَلَمَةُ قَالَ: قَالَ مُحَمَّدُ ابن إِسْحَاقَ: يَقُولُ اللَّهُ تَعَالَى لِنَبِيِّهِ: وَإِذْ غَدَوْتَ مِنْ أَهْلِكَ تُبَوِّئُ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ مَقَاعِدَ لِلْقِتَالِ وَاللَّهُ سَمِيعٌ عَلِيمٌ أَيْ سَمِيعٌ لِمَا يَقُولُونَ.
قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: عَلِيمٌ
٤٠٧٢ - وَبِهِ عَنِ ابْنِ إِسْحَاقَ قَالَ: قَوْلُهُ: عَلِيمٌ أَيْ عَلِيمٌ بِمَا يُخْفُونَ.
