He began looking and said: "It will be joined together just as a garment is joined together, and as for its length, no one can measure its extent except Allah." It has been narrated from Yazid ibn Abi Malik similarly.
4158 - Abu Zur'ah narrated to us, Yahya ibn 'Abd Allah narrated to us, Ibn Lahi'ah narrated to me, 'Ata' ibn Dinar narrated to me, from Sa'id ibn Jubayr regarding the saying of Allah, the Exalted: "And a Paradise whose width is the heavens and the earth," meaning: the width of seven heavens and seven earths, if they were joined one to another, the Paradise would be in their width.
His saying, the Exalted: "Prepared for the righteous"
4159 - And through the same chain from Sa'id ibn Jubayr regarding the saying of Allah: "Prepared for the righteous," meaning: those who avoid associating partners with Allah (shirk).
4160 - Muhammad ibn al-'Abbas narrated to us, Zunayj narrated to us, Salamah narrated to us, who said: Muhammad ibn Ishaq said regarding His saying: "And a Paradise whose width is the heavens and the earth, prepared for the righteous," i.e., a home for whoever obeys Me and obeys My Messenger.
His saying, the Exalted: "Who spend"
4161 - Abu Zur'ah narrated to us, Yahya ibn Bukayr narrated to us, 'Abd Allah ibn Lahi'ah narrated to me, 'Ata' ibn Dinar narrated to me, from Sa'id ibn Jubayr who said: Then Allah described them and said: "Who spend," meaning: they spend wealth in the obedience of Allah.
His saying, the Exalted: "In ease"
4162 - Muhammad ibn Sa'd al-'Awfi reported to us in what he wrote to me, my father narrated to me, my uncle al-Husayn narrated to me, from his father, from his grandfather, from Ibn 'Abbas regarding his saying: "Who spend in ease," he says: in ease and in difficulty; he says: in times of hardship.
4163 - Abu Zur'ah narrated to us, Yahya ibn 'Abd Allah ibn Bukayr narrated to us, 'Abd Allah ibn Lahi'ah narrated to me, 'Ata' ibn Dinar narrated to me, from Sa'id ibn Jubayr regarding the saying of Allah, the Exalted: "In ease," meaning: in prosperity. It has been narrated from Qatadah and Muqatil similar to the statement of Ibn 'Abbas.

فَجَعَلَ يَنْظُرُ قَالَ: تُلْفَقُ كَمَا يُلْفَقُ الثَّوْبُ، وَأَمَّا طُولُهَا فَلا يُقَدِّرُ قَدْرَهُ إِلا اللَّهُ «١» - وَرُوِيَ عَنِ يَزِيدَ بْنِ أَبِي مَالِكٍ نَحْو ذَلِكَ.
٤١٥٨ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو زُرْعَةَ، ثنا يَحْيَى بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، حَدَّثَنِي ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ، حَدَّثَنِي عطاء ابن دِينَارٍ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ قَوْلُ اللَّهِ تعالى: وجنة عرضها السماوات وَالأَرْضُ يَعْنِي عَرَضَ سَبْعِ سَمَوَاتٍ وَسَبْعِ أَرَضِينَ لَوَ لُصِقَ بَعْضُهُنَّ إِلَى بَعْضٍ فَالْجَنَّةُ فِي عَرْضِهِنَّ.
قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: أُعِدَتْ لِلْمُتَّقِين
٤١٥٩ - وَبِهِ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ فِي قَوْلِ اللَّهِ: أُعِدَتْ لِلْمُتَّقِينَ يَعْنِي الَّذِينَ يَتَّقُونَ الشِّرْكَ.
٤١٦٠ - حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْعَبَّاسِ، ثنا زُنَيْجٌ، ثنا سَلَمَةُ قَالَ: قَالَ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ قَوْلُهُ: وَجَنَّةٍ عَرْضُهَا السماوات وَالأَرْضُ أُعِدَتْ لِلْمُتَّقِينَ أَيْ دَاراً لِمَنْ أَطَاعَنِي وَأَطَاعَ رَسُولِي.
قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: الَّذِينَ يُنْفِقُونَ
٤١٦١ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو زُرْعَةَ، ثنا يَحْيَى بْنُ بُكَيْرٍ، حَدَّثَنِي عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ لَهِيعَةَ حَدَّثَنِي عَطَاءُ بْنُ دِينَارٍ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ قَالَ: ثُمَّ نَعَتَهُمُ اللَّهُ فَقَالَ: الَّذِينَ يُنْفِقُونَ يَعْنِي يُنْفِقُونَ الأَمْوَالَ فِي طَاعَةِ اللَّهِ.
قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: فِي السَّرَّاءِ
٤١٦٢ - أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ الْعَوْفِيُّ فِيمَا كَتَبَ إِلَيَّ حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي، ثنا عَمِّي الْحُسَيْنُ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ جَدِّهِ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَوْلَهُ: الَّذِينَ يُنْفِقُونَ فِي السَّرَّاءِ يَقُولُ فِي السَّرَّاءِ وَالضَّرَّاءِ، يَقُولُ فِي الْعُسْرِ «٢» .
٤١٦٣ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو زُرْعَةَ، ثنا يَحْيَى بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ بُكَيْرٍ، حَدَّثَنِي عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ لَهِيعَةَ حَدَّثَنِي عَطَاءُ بْنُ دِينَارٍ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنُ جُبَيْرٍ فِي قَوْلِ اللَّهِ تَعَالَى: فِي السَّرَّاءِ يَعْنِي: فِي الرَّخَاءِ. وَرُوِيَ عَنِ قَتَادَةَ، وَمُقَاتِلٍ نَحْو َقَوْلِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ.
