[6716] Abu Sa‘id al-Ashajj narrated to us, Ibn Idris narrated to us, from Dawud ibn Abi Hind, from ‘Ikrimah, from Ibn ‘Abbas, who said: A mudd (measure) of wheat—meaning for every needy person—and its accompaniment is its relish. And it has been narrated from Ibn ‘Umar, Zayd ibn Thabit, Sulayman ibn Yasar, Abu Salamah, Sa‘id ibn al-Musayyib, al-Qasim, Salim, Mujahid, ‘Ata’, ‘Ikrimah, al-Zuhri, al-Hasan, Jabir ibn Zayd, and Muhammad ibn Sirin something similar to that.

[6717] Abu Zur‘ah Yahya ibn ‘Abd Allah ibn Bukayr narrated to us, ‘Abd Allah ibn Lahia’ narrated to me, ‘Ata’ ibn Yasar narrated to me, from Sa‘id ibn Jubayr, regarding His saying: "from the average," meaning: from the most moderate. And it has been narrated from Ibn ‘Abbas and ‘Ikrimah something similar to that.

Al-‘Abbas ibn al-Walid ibn Mazyad informed us by way of recitation, Ibn Shu‘ayb informed me, ‘Uthman ibn ‘Ata’ informed me, from his father ‘Ata’, regarding His saying: "from the average," he said: From the most representative.
His saying, the Almighty: "...of that which you feed your families with."

[6718] Abu Sa‘id al-Ashajj narrated to us, Abu Khalid al-Ahmar narrated to us, from Hajjaj, from Husayn al-Harithi, from al-Sha‘bi, from al-Harith, from ‘Ali, regarding His saying: "of that which you feed your families with," he said: That you provide them lunch and dinner.

[6719] Abu Sa‘id al-Ashajj narrated to us, Abu Khalid al-Ahmar narrated to us, from Hajjaj, from Abu Ishaq, from al-Harith, from ‘Ali, who said: Dates, oil, milk, bread, and clarified butter (samn).
[6720] ‘Abd al-Rahman ibn Khalaf al-Himsiyy narrated to us, Muhammad ibn Shu‘ayb ibn Shapur narrated to us, Shayban ibn ‘Abd al-Rahman al-Tamimi narrated to us, from Layth ibn Abi Sulaym, from ‘Asim al-Ahwal, from a man called ‘Abd al-Rahman, from Ibn ‘Umar, that he said regarding "of that which you feed your families with": Bread and meat, bread and clarified butter, bread and milk and oil, and bread and vinegar.

٦٧١٦ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو سَعِيدٍ الأَشَجُّ، ثنا ابْنُ إِدْرِيسَ عَنْ دَاوُدَ بْنِ أَبِي هِنْدَ عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ فِدًا مِنْ بُرٍّ يَعْنِي لِكُلِّ مِسْكِينٍ وَرِيعُهُ إِدَامُهُ- وَرُوِيَ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ وَزَيْدِ «١» بْنِ ثَابِتٍ وَسُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ يَسَارٍ وَأَبِي سَلَمَةَ وَسَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيِّبِ وَالْقَاسِمِ وَسَالِمٍ وَمُجَاهِدٍ وَعَطَاءٍ وَعِكْرِمَةَ وَالزُّهْرِيِّ وَالْحَسَنِ وَجَابِرِ بْنِ زَيْدٍ وَمُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سِيرِينَ نحو ذلك

٦٧١٧ - حدثنا أبو زرعة يَحْيَى بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ بُكَيْرٍ، حَدَّثَنِي عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ لَهِيعَةَ حَدَّثَنِي عَطَاءُ بْنُ يَسَارٍ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ قَوْلَهُ: مِنْ أَوْسَطِ يَعْنِي: مِنْ أَعْدَلِ- وَرُوِيَ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ وَعِكْرِمَةَ نَحْوُ ذَلِكَ.
وَالْوَجْهُ الثَّانِي:
أَخْبَرَنَا الْعَبَّاسُ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ ابن مَزْيَدٍ قِرَاءَةً، أَخْبَرَنِي ابْنُ شُعَيْبٍ، أَخْبَرَنِي عُثْمَانُ بْنُ عَطَاءٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَطَاءِ قَوْلَهُ: مِنْ أَوْسَطِ قَالَ: مِنْ أَمْثَلِ.
قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: مِنْ أَوْسَطِ ما تطعمون أهليكم

٦٧١٨ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو سَعِيدٍ الأَشَجُّ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو خَالِدٍ الأَحْمَرُ عَنْ حَجَّاجٍ عَنْ حُصَيْنٍ الْحَارِثِيِّ عَنِ الشَّعْبِيِّ عَنِ الْحَارِثِ عَنْ عَلِيٍّ قَوْلَهُ: مِنْ أَوْسَطِ مَا تُطْعِمُونَ أَهْلِيكُمْ قَالَ: تُغَدِّيهِمْ وَتُعَشِّيهِمْ.
وَالْوَجْهُ الثَّانِي:
٦٧١٩ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو سَعِيدٍ الأَشَجُّ، ثنا أَبُو خَالِدٍ الأحمر عن حَجَّاجٍ عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ عَنِ الْحَارِثِ عَنْ عَلِيٍّ قَالَ: تَمْرٌ وَزَيْتٌ وَلَبَنٌ وَخُبْزٌ وَسَمْنٌ.
٦٧٢٠ - حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ خَلَفٍ الْحِمْصِيُّ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ شُعَيْبِ بْنِ شَأبُورَ ثنا شَيْبَانُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ التَّمِيمِيُّ عَنْ لَيْثِ بْنِ أبى سليم عن عاصم الأحوال عَنْ رَجُلٍ يُقَالُ لَهُ عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ أَنَّهُ قَالَ مِنْ أَوْسَطِ مَا تُطْعِمُونَ أَهْلِيكُمْ قَالَ:
الْخُبْزُ وَاللَّحْمُ، وَالْخُبْزُ وَالسَّمْنُ، وَالْخُبْزُ وَاللَّبَنُ والزيت، والخبز والخل.
