[The Second Aspect]
[6759] Abu Zur‘ah narrated to us, Yahya ibn ‘Abd Allah ibn Bukayr narrated to us, ‘Abd Allah ibn Lahi‘ah narrated to me, ‘Ata’ ibn Dinar narrated to me, from Sa‘id ibn Jubayr regarding His saying: "Rijs [an impurity/abomination] from the work of Satan," meaning: It only refers to what was mentioned of wine, gambling, the ansab [idolatrous altars], and the azlam [divining arrows].
[The Third Aspect]
[6760] Abu Yazid al-Qaratisi informed us in what he wrote to me, Asbagh ibn al-Faraj narrated to us, he said: I heard ‘Abd al-Rahman ibn Zayd ibn Aslam saying regarding His saying: "Rijs from the work of Satan," he said: "The rijs is the evil that comes from the work of Satan."
His saying: "From the work of Satan"
[6761] Abu Dawud narrated to us, Yahya ibn ‘Abd Allah narrated to us, my father Ibn Lahi‘ah narrated to me, ‘Ata’ ibn Dinar narrated to me, from Sa‘id ibn Jubayr regarding His saying: "From the work of Satan," meaning: From the embellishment of Satan.
His saying: "So avoid it"
[6762] Yunus ibn Habib narrated to us, Abu Dawud narrated to us, Muhammad ibn Abi Husayn narrated to us, from the Egyptian, Ibn Ta‘rah, the reciter of Egypt, he said: I heard Ibn ‘Umar saying: "Three verses were revealed regarding wine. The first thing that was revealed was: 'They ask you about wine and gambling...' (the verse). It was said: 'Wine is forbidden.' They said: 'O Messenger of Allah, let us benefit from it as Allah the Exalted said.' He remained silent regarding them.
Then this verse was revealed: 'We do not drink it near prayer.' He remained silent regarding them. Then this verse was revealed: 'Do not approach prayer while you are intoxicated.' It was said: 'Is wine forbidden?' They said: 'O Messenger of Allah, we do not drink it near prayer.' He remained silent regarding them. Then was revealed: 'O you who have believed, indeed, intoxicants, gambling, [sacrificing on] stone alters [to other than Allah], and divining arrows are but defilement from the work of Satan, so avoid it that you may be successful.' The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: 'Wine has been forbidden.'"
[6763] Abu Zur‘ah narrated to us, Yahya ibn ‘Abd Allah narrated to us, Ibn Lahi‘ah narrated to us, ‘Ata’ ibn Dinar narrated to me, from Sa‘id ibn Jubayr regarding His saying: "Rijs from the work of Satan, so avoid it," he said: "This is the prohibition of them, just as Allah said: 'So avoid the impurity of idols,' meaning the worship of idols. Thus, He forbade wine just as He forbade the worship of idols."
وَالْوَجْهُ الثَّانِي:
٦٧٥٩ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو زُرْعَةَ، ثنا يَحْيَى بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ بُكَيْرٍ، حَدَّثَنِي عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ لَهِيعَةَ، حَدَّثَنِي عَطَاءُ بْنُ دِينَارٍ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ قَوْلَهُ: رِجْسٌ مِنْ عَمَلِ الشَّيْطَانِ يَعْنِي: إِنَّمَا يَعْنِي مَا ذُكِرَ مِنَ الْخَمْرِ وَالْمَيْسِرِ وَالأَنْصَابِ وَالأَزْلامِ.
وَالْوَجْهُ الثَّالِثُ:
٦٧٦٠ - أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو يَزِيدَ الْقَرَاطِيسِيُّ فِيمَا كَتَبَ إِلَيَّ، ثنا أَصْبَغُ بْنُ الْفَرَجِ قَالَ:
سَمِعْتُ عَبْدَ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنَ زَيْدِ بْنِ أَسْلَمَ يَقُولُ فِي قَوْلِهِ: رِجْسٌ مِنْ عَمَلِ الشَّيْطَانِ قَالَ الرِّجْسُ: الشَّرُّ مِنْ عَمَلِ الشَّيْطَانِ.
قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: مِنْ عَمَلِ الشَّيْطَانِ
٦٧٦١ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو دَاوُدَ، ثنا يَحْيَى بْنُ عَبْدِ الله، حدثني أبي لَهِيعَةَ، حَدَّثَنِي عَطَاءُ بْنُ دِينَارٍ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ قَوْلَهُ: مِنْ عَمَلِ الشَّيْطَانِ يَعْنِي مِنْ تَزْيِينِ الشَّيْطَانِ.
قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى فَاجْتَنِبُوهُ
٦٧٦٢ - حَدَّثَنَا يُونُسُ بْنُ حَبِيبٍ، ثنا أَبُو دَاوُدَ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَبِي حُسَيْنٍ عَنِ الْمِصْرِيِّ ابْنِ طَعْرَةَ قَارِئَ مِصْرَ قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ ابْنَ عُمَرَ يَقُولُ: نَزَلَتْ فِي الْخَمْرِ ثَلاثُ آيَاتٍ، فَأَوَّلُ شَيْءٍ نزل يسئلونك عن الخمر والميسر ... الْآيَةُ فَقِيلَ: حُرِّمَتِ الْخَمْرُ، فَقَالُوا:
يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ دَعْنَا نَنْتَفِعْ بِهَا كَمَا قَالَ اللَّهُ تَعَالَى، قَالَ: فَسَكَتَ عَنْهُمْ.
ثُمَّ نَزَلَتْ هَذِهِ الآيَةُ، إِنَّا لَا نَشْرَبُهَا قُرْبَ الصَّلاةِ فَسَكَتَ عَنْهُمْ، ثُمَّ نَزَلَتْ هَذِهِ الْآيَةُ لَا تَقْرَبُوا الصَّلاةَ وَأَنْتُمْ سُكَارَى، فَقِيلَ: حُرِّمَتِ الْخَمْرُ؟ فَقَالُوا يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ إِنَّا لَا نَشْرَبُهَا قُرْبَ الصَّلاةِ فَسَكَتَ عَنْهُمْ. ثُمَّ نَزَلَتْ يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا إِنَّمَا الْخَمْرُ وَالْمَيْسِرُ وَالْأَنْصَابُ وَالْأَزْلَامُ رِجْسٌ مِنْ عَمَلِ الشَّيْطَانِ فَاجْتَنِبُوهُ لَعَلَّكُمْ تُفْلِحُونَ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ حُرِّمَتِ الْخَمْرُ.
٦٧٦٣ - وَحَدَّثَنَا أَبُو زُرْعَةَ، ثنا يَحْيَى بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، ثنا بْنُ لَهِيعَةَ، حَدَّثَنِي عَطَاءُ بْنُ دِينَارٍ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ فِي قَوْلِهِ: رِجْسٌ مِنْ عَمَلِ الشَّيْطَانِ فَاجْتَنِبُوهُ فَهَذَا تَحْرِيمُهُنَّ كَمَا قَالَ اللَّهُ فَاجْتَنِبُوا الرِّجْسَ مِنَ الأَوْثَانِ يَعْنِي عِبَادَةَ الأَصْنَامِ فَحَرَّمَ الْخَمْرَ كَمَا حَرَّمَ عِبَادَةَ الأَصْنَامِ.
