Fourth Aspect:

[7009] My father narrated to us, Ibn al-Tabba' narrated to us, Isma'il ibn 'Ulayyah narrated to us, from Rawh ibn al-Qasim, from Qatadah, that he said: "The disciples (al-hawariyyun) are the elite; the caliphate is suitable for them."

Fifth Aspect:

[7010] al-Hasan ibn Abi al-Rabi' narrated to us, 'Abd al-Razzaq narrated to us, he said: Ma'mar said: Qatadah said: "The disciple (al-hawari) is the minister (wazir)."

Sixth Aspect:

[7011] It was mentioned from Sufyan ibn 'Uyaynah, from Mis'ar, from Yazid ibn Abi Salm, he said: "They were the sons of kings," meaning: the disciples.

Seventh Aspect:

[7012] Yunus ibn 'Abd al-A'la informed us by way of reading, Sufyan narrated to us, he said: "The disciple (al-hawari) is the helper (nasir)."

His saying, the Exalted: "They said, 'We have believed, and bear witness that we are Muslims.'"

[7013] Muhammad ibn Yahya narrated to us, Abu Ghassan narrated to us, Salamah narrated to us, he said: Muhammad ibn Ishaq said: "And bear witness that we are Muslims," not [following] what these people, who are arguing with you about it, say.

His saying, the Exalted: "When the disciples said, 'O 'Isa, son of Maryam, can your Lord...'

[7014] My father narrated to us, Ibn Nufayl narrated to us, Isma'il ibn 'Ulayyah narrated to us, 'Abd al-Rahman ibn Ishaq narrated to us, from Shaybah ibn Nisah, from al-Qasim ibn Muhammad, he said: 'A'ishah said: They were more knowledgeable of Allah than to say, 'Can your Lord?' They only said, 'Can you and your Lord?'

[7015] 'Ali ibn al-Husayn narrated to us, Hafs ibn 'Umar narrated to us, Ibn al-Asbahani narrated to us, from Sharik, from Jabir, from 'Amir, that he—meaning 'Ali—used to recite it: 'Can you perform (hal tuti'uka)?' He said: 'Can your Lord obey you?'
