[The Third Aspect]

[7024] Sa'id ibn 'Abd Allah ibn 'Abd al-Hakam narrated to us, Abu Zur'ah Wahb Allah ibn Rashid narrated to us, 'Uqayl ibn Khalid ibn Shihab narrated to us, informing him from Ibn 'Abbas: That the people said to 'Isa ibn Maryam: "Supplicate to Allah to send down to us a table from the heaven." So the angels brought down a table, carrying seven fish and seven loaves of bread. Each of them ate [from it], the last of the people as the first of them had eaten.

[7025] Abu Zur'ah narrated to us, Ibn Nufayl al-Harrani narrated to us, Yunus ibn Rashid narrated to us, from Khusayf, from 'Ikrimah and Miqsam, from Ibn 'Abbas, he said: "The table was a fish and loaves of bread."

[7026] My father narrated to us, Abu Nu'aym narrated to us, Fudayl ibn Marzuq narrated to us, from 'Atiyyah, he said: "The table was a fish in which there was the taste of every food."

[7027] Al-Hasan ibn Abi al-Rabi' narrated to us, 'Abd al-Razzaq informed us, al-Mundhir ibn al-Nu'man informed us that he heard Wahb ibn Munabbih saying regarding His saying: "Send down to us a table from the heaven." He said: "There was sent down to them barley loaves and fish."

And [regarding] those who said: It was bread and rice.

[7028] 'Ali ibn al-Husayn narrated to us, Muhammad ibn 'Ali ibn Hamzah narrated to us, 'Ali ibn al-Husayn narrated to us, from his father, from Yazid, from 'Ikrimah, he narrated to him: That the bread which was sent down with the table was made of rice.

[The Fourth Aspect]

[7029] Ja'far ibn 'Ali informed us in what he wrote to me, Isma'il ibn Abi Uways narrated to us, 'Abd al-Quddus ibn Ibrahim al-San'ani narrated to me, from Ibrahim ibn 'Umar, from Wahb ibn Munabbih, from Abu 'Uthman al-Nahdi, from Salman al-Khayr, he said: Then 'Isa said: "O Allah, our Lord, send down to us a table from the heaven." So Allah the Exalted sent down to them a red sufra (dining mat) between two clouds, a cloud above it and a cloud below it, while they were watching it in the air, descending from the firmament of the heaven, falling toward them. 'Isa was weeping out of fear for the conditions which Allah had imposed upon them regarding it: that He would punish those who disbelieve in it among them after its descent with a punishment with which He had not punished anyone of the worlds.
