The Third Aspect:
7036 - 'Ali ibn al-Husayn narrated to us, Muhammad narrated to us, Mihran narrated to us, from Sufyan, regarding: "Send down to us a table from the heaven [it would be for us an 'Id]," he said: A day on which we pray.
His saying, the Exalted: "and the last of us"
7037 - Muhammad ibn Yahya narrated to us, al-'Abbas ibn al-Walid narrated to us, Yazid ibn Zuray' narrated to us, from Sa'id, from Qatadah, regarding his saying: "It would be for us an 'Id for the first of us and the last of us," he said: They wanted it to be for their descendants after them.
His saying, the Exalted: "and a sign from You"
7038 - Ja'far ibn 'Ali reported to us in what he wrote to me, Isma'il ibn Abi Uways narrated to us, 'Abd al-Quddus ibn Ibrahim ibn 'Umar ibn Wahb ibn Munabbih narrated to me, from his father 'Uthman, from Salman, regarding: "and a sign from You," i.e., and a token from You that would be between us and You.
His saying, the Exalted: "and provide for us, and You are the best of providers"
7039 - And through the same chain from Salman, regarding: "and provide for us, and You are the best of providers," he said: Provide for us upon it food that we may eat, and You are the best of providers. So Allah the Exalted sent down upon them a red dining mat with some of what was mentioned previously upon it.
His saying, the Exalted: "Allah said: I am going to send it down to you"
7040 - And through the same chain from Salman al-Khayr, he said: Allah the Exalted said: "I am going to send it down to you." So Allah sent down upon them a red dining mat. 'Isa, the disciples, and his companions approached and sat around the dining mat, and they said: "O Spirit of Allah and His Word, we would love for You to show us a sign in this sign." 'Isa said: "Glory be to Allah, have you not been satisfied with what you have seen of this sign, that you ask for another sign within it?" Then 'Isa turned to the fish and said: "O fish, return alive by the permission of Allah as you were." So Allah the Exalted brought it back to life by His power; it thrashed and returned alive by the permission of Allah, fresh, smacking its lips as a lion smacks its lips, its eyes rolling.
مُفَضَّلٍ، ثنا أَسْبَاطٌ، عَنِ السُّدِّيِّ قَوْلَهُ: تَكُونُ لَنَا عِيدًا يَقُولُ: نَتَّخِذُ الْيَوْمَ الَّذِي أُنْزِلَتْ فِيهِ عِيدًا نُعِظِّمُهُ نَحْنُ وَمَنْ بَعْدَنَا.
الْوَجْهُ الثَّالِثُ:
٧٠٣٦ - حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ الْحُسَيْنِ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ، ثنا مِهْرَانُ، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ: أَنْزِلْ عَلَيْنَا مَائِدَةً مِنَ السَّمَاءِ تَكُونُ لَنَا عِيدًا قَالَ: يَوْمًا نُصَلِّي فِيهِ.
قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: وَآخِرِنَا
٧٠٣٧ - حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى، ثنا الْعَبَّاسُ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ، ثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ زُرَيْعٍ، عَنْ سَعِيدٍ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ قَوْلَهُ: تَكُونُ لَنَا عِيدًا لأَوَّلِنَا وَآخِرِنَا قَالَ: أَرَادُوا أَنْ تَكُونَ لِعَقِبِهِمْ مِنْ بَعْدِهِمْ.
قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: وَآيَةً مِنْكَ
٧٠٣٨ - أَخْبَرَنَا جَعْفَرُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ فِيمَا كَتَبَ إِلَيَّ، ثنا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ أَبِي أُوَيْسٍ، حَدَّثَنِي عَبْدُ الْقُدُّوسِ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ عمر بن وهب بن منبه، عن أبيه عُثْمَانَ، عَنْ سَلْمَانَ وَآيَةً مِنْكَ أَيْ: وَعَلامَةً مِنْكَ تَكُونُ بَيْنَنَا وَبَيْنَكَ.
قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: وَارْزُقْنَا وَأَنْتَ خَيْرُ الرَّازِقِينَ
٧٠٣٩ - وَبِهِ عَنْ سَلْمَانَ: وَارْزُقْنَا وَأَنْتَ خَيْرُ الرَّازِقِينَ قَالَ: وَارْزُقْنَا عَلَيْهَا طَعَامًا نَأْكُلُهُ، وَأَنْتَ خَيْرُ الرَّازِقِينَ، فَأَنْزَلَ اللَّهُ تعالى عَلَيْهِمْ سُفْرَةً حَمْرَاءَ، عَلَيْهَا مِمَّا تَقَدَّمَ ذِكْرُهُ.
قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: قَالَ اللَّهُ إِنِّي مُنَزِّلُهَا عَلَيْكُمْ
٧٠٤٠ - وَبِهِ عَنْ سَلْمَانِ الْخَيْرِ قَالَ: قَالَ اللَّهُ تَعَالَى: إِنِّي مُنَزِّلُهَا عَلَيْكُمْ فَأَنْزَلَ اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِمْ سُفْرَةً حَمْرَاءَ وَأَقْبَلَ عِيسَى وَالْحَوَارِيُّونَ وَأَصْحَابُهُ حَتَّى جَلَسُوا حَوْلَ السُّفْرَةِ فَقَالُوا: يَا رُوحَ اللَّهِ وَكَلِمَتَهُ إِنَّا نُحِبُّ أَنْ تُرِيَنَا آيَةً فِي هَذِهِ الآيَةِ. فَقَالَ عِيسَى: سُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ، أَمَا اكْتَفَيْتُمْ بِمَا رَأَيْتُمْ مِنْ هَذِهِ الآيَةِ حَتَّى تَسْأَلُوا فِيهَا آيَةً أُخْرَى؟ ثُمَّ أَقْبَلَ عِيسَى عَلَى السَّمَكَةِ فَقَالَ: يَا سَمَكَةُ، عُودِي بِإِذْنِ اللَّهِ حَيَّةً كَمَا كُنْتِ، فَأَحْيَاهَا اللَّهُ تَعَالَى بِقُدْرَتِهِ، فَاضْطَرَبَتْ، وَعَادَتْ بِإِذْنِ اللَّهِ حَيَّةً طَرِيَّةً تَلَمَّطُ كَمَا يَتَلَمَّطُ الأَسَدُ تَدُورُ عَيْنَاهَا،
