And it was narrated from al-Hasan that he said: "It is what is between his creation and his death."

7098 - Muhammad ibn Yahya narrated to us, al-'Abbas ibn al-Walid informed us, Yazid ibn Zuray' narrated to us, Sa'id narrated to us, from Qatadah, regarding His saying: "Then He decreed a term, and a term specified with Him," he says: "The term of your life is until the day of your death, and the term of your death is until the day you are resurrected, and you are between two terms from Allah."
7099 - And it was narrated from Mujahid and Khalid ibn Ma'dan that they both said: "The term of the resurrection."

7100 - Yunus ibn Habib narrated to us, Abu Dawud narrated to us, from Qays, from Abu Husayn, from Sa'id ibn Jubayr, from Ibn 'Abbas, regarding the saying of Allah: "And a term specified with Him," he said: "None knows it except Allah."
7101 - My father narrated to us, Abu Salih narrated to us, Mu'awiyah ibn Salih narrated to me, from 'Ali ibn Abi Talhah, from Ibn 'Abbas, regarding His saying: "And a term specified with Him," he said: "The standing before Allah."
His saying: "Then you doubt"

7102 - Ahmad ibn 'Uthman ibn Hakim al-Awdi informed us, Ahmad ibn Mufaddal narrated to us, Asbat narrated to us, from al-Suddi, regarding His saying: "Then you doubt," [it means]: you are skeptical.
7103 - My father narrated to us, al-Hakam ibn Musa narrated to us, Yahya ibn Hamzah narrated to us, Thawr narrated to me, from Khalid ibn Ma'dan, "Then you doubt," he says: "Regarding the resurrection."

7104 - Al-'Abbas ibn al-Walid ibn Mazid informed us through reading, Ibn Shu'ayb ibn Shapur informed me, Ibn al-Mubarak informed me, from al-Rabi' ibn Anas, regarding the saying of Allah: "Then you doubt," meaning: skepticism and suspicion regarding the matter of the Hour.
His saying: "And He is Allah in the heavens and in the earth; He knows your secret and your public nature."
