His saying: "Then He raises you [in it]."
7377 - Al-Hasan ibn Abi al-Rabi' narrated to us, 'Abd al-Razzaq informed us, Ma'mar informed us, from Qatadah regarding His saying: "Then He raises you in it," and the "raising" (al-ba'th) is awakening.
His saying: "In it."
7378 - Hajjaj ibn Hamzah narrated to us, Shababah narrated to us, Warqa' narrated to us, from Ibn Abi Najih, from Mujahid, regarding His saying: "Then He raises you in it," he said: In the daytime. It was also narrated from Qatadah and al-Suddi the like of that.
His saying: "So that a specified term may be fulfilled."
7379 - My father narrated to us, Musa ibn Mas'ud Abu Hudhayfah narrated to us, Shibl narrated to us, from Ibn Abi Najih, from Mujahid: "So that a specified term may be fulfilled," [he said]: It is death.
7380 - Al-Husayn ibn al-Hasan narrated to us, Ibrahim ibn 'Abd Allah narrated to us, al-Hajjaj informed us, he said: Ibn Jurayj said, Ibn Kathir said: Meaning His saying: "So that a specified term may be fulfilled," he said: So that the term of their duration may be fulfilled. And he has: "Then to Him is your return," [to the end of] the verse.
7381 - Abu Sa'id narrated to us, Zayd ibn al-Hubab narrated to us, from Abu Sinan, from al-Dahhak, regarding His saying: "To Him is your return," he said: The righteous and the wicked.
7382 - 'Isam ibn Rawwad narrated to us, Adam narrated to us, Abu Ja'far narrated to us, from al-Rabi', from Abu al-'Aliyah, meaning His saying: "To Him is your return," he said: They return to Him after life.
His saying, the Almighty: "And He is the Subjugator over His servants, and He sends over you guardian angels."
7383 - Ahmad ibn 'Uthman ibn Hakim al-Awdi informed us in what he wrote to me, Ahmad ibn Mufaddal narrated to us, Asbat narrated to us, from al-Suddi regarding "And He sends over you guardian angels," he said: They are the alternating angels (al-mu'aqqibat); they guard him and they record his deeds.
7384 - Muhammad ibn Yahya narrated to us, al-'Abbas ibn al-Walid informed us, Yazid narrated to us, Sa'id narrated to us, from Qatadah regarding "And He is the Subjugator over His servants, and He sends over you guardian angels," he says: Guardian angels, O son of Adam, they guard your provision, your deeds, and your term of life for you.

٧٣٧٧ - حَدَّثَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ أَبِي الرَّبِيعِ، أنا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، أنا مَعْمَرٌ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ فِي
قَوْلِهِ: ثُمَّ يَبْعَثُكُمْ فِيهِ وَالْبَعْثُ: الْيَقَظَةُ.

٧٣٧٨ - حَدَّثَنَا حَجَّاجُ بْنُ حَمْزَةَ، ثنا شَبَابَةُ، ثنا وَرْقَاءُ، عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي نَجِيحٍ، عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ، قَوْلَهُ: ثُمَّ يَبْعَثُكُمْ فِيهِ قَالَ: فِي النَّهَارِ. وَرُوِيَ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ وَالسُّدِّيِّ مِثْلُ ذَلِكَ.
قَوْلُهُ: لِيُقْضَى أَجَلٌ مُسَمًّى.
٧٣٧٩ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي، ثنا مُوسَى بْنُ مَسْعُودٍ أَبُو حُذَيْفَةَ، ثنا شِبْلٌ، عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي نَجِيحٍ، عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ: لِيُقْضَى أَجَلٌ مُسَمًّى: وَهُوَ الْمَوْتُ.
٧٣٨٠ - حَدَّثَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ، ثنا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، أنا الْحَجَّاجُ قَالَ: قَالَ ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ قَالَ ابْنُ كَثِيرٍ: يَعْنِي قَوْلَهُ: لِيُقْضَى أَجَلٌ مُسَمًّى قَالَ: لِيَقْضِيَ أَجَلَ مُدَّتِهِمْ. وَلَهُ: ثُمَّ إِلَيْهِ مرجعكم الْآيَةَ.
٧٣٨١ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو سَعِيدٍ، ثنا زَيْدُ بْنُ الْحُبَابِ، عَنْ أَبِي سِنَانٍ، عَنِ الضَّحَّاكِ، فِي قَوْلِهِ: إِلَيْهِ مَرْجِعُكُمْ قَالَ: الْبَرُّ وَالْفَاجِرُ.
٧٣٨٢ - حَدَّثَنَا عِصَامُ بْنُ رَوَّادٍ، ثنا آدَمُ، ثنا أَبُو جَعْفَرٍ، عَنِ الرَّبِيعِ، عَنْ أَبِي الْعَالِيَةِ يَعْنِي قَوْلَهُ: إِلَيْهِ مَرْجِعُكُمْ قَالَ: يَرْجِعُونَ إِلَيْهِ بَعْدَ الْحَيَاةِ.
قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: وَهُوَ الْقَاهِرُ فَوْقَ عِبَادِهِ وَيُرْسِلُ عَلَيْكُمْ حَفَظَةً
٧٣٨٣ - أَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ حَكِيمٍ الأَوْدِيُّ فِيمَا كَتَبَ إِلَيَّ، ثنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مُفَضَّلٍ، ثنا أَسْبَاطٌ، عَنِ السُّدِّيِّ وَيُرْسِلُ عَلَيْكُمْ حَفَظَةً قَالَ: هُمُ الْمُعَقِّبَاتُ مِنَ الْمَلائِكَةِ، يَحْفَظُونَهُ، وَيَحْفَظُونَ عَمَلَهُ.
٧٣٨٤ - حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى، أَنَا الْعَبَّاسُ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ، ثنا يَزِيدُ، ثنا سَعِيدٌ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ وَهُوَ الْقَاهِرُ فَوْقَ عِبَادِهِ وَيُرْسِلُ عَلَيْكُمْ حَفَظَةً يَقُولُ: حَفَظَةٌ يَا ابْنَ آدَمَ، يَحْفَظُونَ عَلَيْكَ رِزْقَكَ وَعَمَلَكَ وَأَجَلَكَ.
