[His saying: "Then We have entrusted it to a people who are not disbelievers in it."]

[The First Aspect]

7574 - My father narrated to us, Abu Salih the scribe of al-Layth narrated to us, Mu'awiyah ibn Salih narrated to me, from 'Ali ibn Abi Talhah, from Ibn 'Abbas regarding his saying: "Then We have entrusted it to a people who are not disbelievers in it," he means the people of Medina and the Ansar.

It was narrated from Sa'id ibn al-Musayyib, al-Dahhak, and al-Suddi that they said: The Ansar.

The Second Aspect:

7575 - Yahya ibn 'Abdak narrated to us, Hassan ibn Hassan narrated to us, Abu Hilal narrated to us, from al-Hasan regarding his saying: "Then We have entrusted it to a people who are not disbelievers in it," he said: If your nation disbelieves in it, then We have entrusted it to the prophets and the righteous.

7576 - Al-Hasan ibn Abi al-Rabi' narrated to us, 'Abd al-Razzaq narrated to us, Ma'mar narrated to us, from Qatadah regarding his saying: "Then We have entrusted it to a people who are not disbelievers in it," he means the prophets whom Allah the Exalted has narrated. Then he said: "Those are the ones whom Allah has guided, so take their guidance."

The Third Aspect:

7577 - Ahmad ibn Mansur al-Marwazi narrated to us, al-Nadr ibn Shumayl narrated to us, 'Awf narrated to us, from Abu Raja' al-'Utaridi regarding his saying: "Then We have entrusted it to a people who are not disbelievers in it," he said: They are the angels.

The Fourth Aspect:

7578 - It was mentioned from Yahya ibn Yaman, from Qays, from Simak, from 'Ikrimah—meaning his saying: "Then We have entrusted it to a people who are not disbelievers in it"—he said: It is for those who migrated from Makkah to Medina.

His saying: "Those are the ones whom Allah has guided, so take their guidance."

7579 - Abu Sa'id al-Ashaj narrated to us, Ibn Abi Ghaniyah narrated to us, al-'Awwam narrated to us, he said: I heard Mujahid regarding the prostration (sajdah) that is in it, he said: Yes, I asked Ibn 'Abbas, so he recited this verse:
