His saying, the Almighty: "Clusters"

7705 - My father narrated to us, Abu Salih narrated to me, Mu'awiyah ibn Salih narrated to me from 'Ali ibn Abi Talhah, from Ibn 'Abbas regarding His saying: "And from the palm trees, from its emerging fruit, are clusters hanging low," he means by "clusters hanging low": short palm trees whose fruit stalks are close to the ground.

7706 - My father narrated to us, Sahl ibn 'Uthman narrated to us, a man he named narrated to us, from al-Suddi, from Ibn 'Abbas, regarding His saying: "clusters hanging low," he said: "The clusters are the fruit bunches."

7707 - al-Hasan ibn Abi al-Rabi' narrated to us, 'Abd al-Razzaq narrated to us, Ma'mar narrated to us from Qatadah regarding His saying: "clusters hanging low," he said: "The clusters are the fruit stalks of the palm tree."

7708 - Ahmad ibn al-Azhar ibn Mani' informed us in what he wrote to me, Wahb ibn Jarir narrated to us, my father narrated to us from 'Ali ibn al-Hakam, from al-Dahhak regarding His saying: "clusters hanging low," he means by "clusters" the emerging fruit (tal').

His saying, the Almighty: "Hanging low"

7709 - Abu Sa'id al-Ashajj narrated to us, 'Amr al-'Anqazi narrated to us from Sufyan al-Thawri, from Abu Ishaq, from al-Bara' ibn 'Azib regarding "clusters hanging low," he said: "Near."

7710 - My father narrated to us, Sahl ibn 'Uthman narrated to us, a man he named narrated to us from al-Suddi, from Ibn 'Abbas regarding His saying: "hanging low," and "hanging low" means that which is set up/positioned.

7711 - Muhammad ibn Sa'd informed us in what he wrote to me, my father narrated to me, my paternal uncle narrated to me, from his father, from 'Atiyyah, from Ibn 'Abbas regarding His saying: "clusters hanging low," he said: "hanging low, the bending of the fruit stalks from the emerging fruit."

7712 - al-Hasan ibn Abi al-Rabi' narrated to us, 'Abd al-Razzaq narrated to us from Ma'mar, from Qatadah regarding His saying: "clusters hanging low," he says: "hanging low, bending." Abu Muhammad said: "He means hanging down (mutadalli).

His saying: "And gardens of grapevines, and the olive and the pomegranate, similar and dissimilar"

7713 - My father narrated to us, Nasr ibn 'Ali narrated to us, my father narrated to us from Khalid ibn Qays, from Qatadah regarding His saying: "similar and dissimilar," it is said: their leaves are similar while their fruits are different.

His saying, the Almighty: "Look at its fruit when it bears fruit"

7714 - My father narrated to us, 'Amr ibn 'Ali narrated to us, Muhammad ibn al-Zibriqan narrated to us from Musa ibn 'Ubaydah, from Muhammad ibn Ka'b: "Look at its fruit when it bears fruit," he said: "Its fresh dates and its grapes."
