His saying, the Almighty: "And We said to them: Do not transgress in the Sabbath."
[6212] Yunus ibn Habib narrated to us, Abu Dawud narrated to us, Shu'bah narrated to us, 'Amr ibn Murrah informed me, he heard 'Abd Allah ibn Salamah narrating from Safwan ibn 'Assal al-Muradi that two men from the People of the Book said to one another: "Take us to this Prophet," then one said: "Do not let him hear this, or he will have four eyes." They came to him and asked him about nine clear signs. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "And upon you especially, O Jews, is that you do not transgress in the Sabbath." They kissed his hands and his feet and said: "We bear witness that you are a Prophet."
[6213] My father narrated to us, 'Abd al-'Aziz ibn al-Mughirah narrated to us, Yazid ibn Zuray' informed us, from Sa'id, from Qatadah regarding: "And We said to them: Do not transgress in the Sabbath," he said: "The people were commanded not to eat fish on the day of the Sabbath and not to display them, and everything besides that was made lawful for them."
His saying, the Almighty: "And We took from them a firm covenant."
[6214] Abu Bakr ibn Abi Musa narrated to us, Harun ibn Hatim narrated to us, 'Abd al-Rahman ibn Abi Hammad narrated to us, from Asbat, from al-Suddi, from Abu Malik regarding His saying: "A firm," meaning: "Severe."
His saying, the Almighty: "So for their breaking of their covenant."
[6215] My father narrated to us, 'Abd al-'Aziz ibn al-Mughirah narrated to us, Yazid ibn Zuray' informed us, Sa'id narrated to us, from Qatadah regarding His saying: "So for their breaking of their covenant," he says: "So by their breaking of their covenant."
His saying, the Almighty: "And their disbelief in the signs of Allah."
[6216] Abu Sa'id al-Ashajj narrated to us, 'Ubayd Allah ibn Musa narrated to us, from Isra'il, from Abu Yahya, from Mujahid: "The signs are: the flood, the locusts, the lice, the frogs, the blood, his hand, and his staff."
His saying, the Almighty: "And their killing of the prophets without right."
[6217] Yunus ibn Habib narrated to us, Abu Dawud narrated to us, Shu'bah narrated to us, from al-A'mash, from Ibrahim, from Abu Ma'mar al-Azdi, from 'Abd Allah ibn Mas'ud, he said: "The Children of Israel would kill three hundred prophets in a single day, then their markets would be set up at the end of the day."

قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: وَقُلْنَا لَهُمْ لَا تَعْدُوا فِي السَّبْتِ.
٦٢١٢ - حَدَّثَنَا يُونُسُ بْنُ حَبِيبٍ، ثنا أَبُو دَاوُدَ، ثنا شُعْبَةُ، أَخْبَرَنِي عَمْرُو بْنُ مُرَّةَ، سَمِعَ عبد الله سَلَمَةَ يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ صَفْوَانَ بْنِ عَسَّالٍ الْمُرَادِيِّ أَنَّ رَجُلَيْنِ مِنْ أَهْلِ الْكِتَابِ قَالَ أَحَدُهُمَا لِصَاحِبِهِ: اذْهَبْ بِنَا إِلَى هَذَا النَّبِيِّ، فَقَالَ: لا يسمعن هذا فيصير له أربعة لَهُ أَرْبَعَةُ أَعْيُنٍ، فَأَتَيَاهُ فَسَأَلاهُ عَنْ تِسْعِ آيَاتٍ بَيِّنَاتٍ، فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:
وَعَلَيْكُمْ خَاصَّةَ يَهُودَ أَنْ لَا تَعْدُوا فِي السَّبْتِ، فَقَبَّلا يَدَيْهِ وَرِجْلَيْهِ، وَقَالا: نَشْهَدُ أَنَّكَ نَبِيٌّ «١» .
٦٢١٣ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي، ثنا عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ بْنُ الْمُغِيرَةِ، أَنْبَأَ يَزِيدُ بْنُ زُرَيْعٍ، عَنْ سَعِيدٍ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ وَقُلْنَا لَهُمْ لَا تَعْدُوا فِي السَّبْتِ أُمِرَ الْقَوْمُ أَنْ لا يَأْكُلُوا الْحِيتَانَ يَوْمَ السَّبْتِ وَلا يَعْرِضُوا، وَأُحِلَّتْ لَهُمْ مَا خَلا ذَلِكَ.
قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: وَأَخَذْنَا مِنْهُمْ مِيثَاقًا غَلِيظًا.
٦٢١٤ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بكر أَبِي مُوسَى، ثنا هَارُونُ بْنُ حَاتِمٍ، ثنا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ أَبِي حَمَّادٍ، عَنْ أَسْبَاطٌ عَنِ السُّدِّيِّ، عَنْ أَبِي مَالِكٍ قَوْلُهُ: غَلِيظاً يَعْنِي: شَدِيدًا.
قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: فَبِمَا نَقْضِهِمْ مِيثَاقَهُمْ.
٦٢١٥ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي، ثنا عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ بْنُ الْمُغِيرَةِ، أَنْبَأَ يَزِيدُ بْنُ زُرَيْعٍ ثنا سَعِيدٌ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ قَوْلَهُ: فَبِمَا نَقْضِهِمْ مِيثَاقَهُمْ يَقُولُ: فَبِنَقْضِهِمْ مِيثَاقَهُمْ.
قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: وَكُفْرِهِمْ بِآيَاتِ اللَّهِ.
٦٢١٦ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو سَعِيدٍ الأَشَجُّ ثنا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُوسَى عَنْ إِسْرَائِيلَ، عَنْ أَبِي يَحْيَى، عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ: الآيَاتُ: الطُّوفَانُ وَالْجَرَادُ وَالْقَمْلُ وَالضَّفَادِعُ وَالدَّمُ وَيَدُهُ وَعَصَاهُ.
قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: وَقَتْلِهِمُ الأَنْبِيَاءَ بِغَيْرِ حق.
٦٢١٧ - حَدَّثَنَا يُونُسُ بْنُ حَبِيبٍ، ثنا أَبُو دَاوُدَ، ثنا شُعْبَةُ، عَنِ الأَعْمَشِ عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، عَنْ أَبِي مَعْمَرٍ الأَزْدِيِّ عَنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مَسْعُودٍ قَالَ: كَانَتْ بَنُو إِسْرَائِيلَ فِي الْيَوْمِ تَقْتُلُ ثَلاثَمِائَةِ نَبِيٍّ، ثُمَّ يَقُومُ سُوقٌ لَهُمْ مِنْ آخِرِ النهار.
