[6225] Abu Sa'id al-Ashajj narrated to us, Abu Usamah narrated to us, from al-Nadr ibn 'Arabi, from 'Ikrimah regarding: "Our hearts are wrapped," he said: "There is a seal upon them."
His saying, the Almighty: "Nay, but Allah has set a seal upon them for their disbelief."
[6226] Abu Bakr ibn Abi Musa narrated to us, Harun ibn Hatim narrated to us, 'Abd al-Rahman ibn Abi Hammad narrated to us, from Asbat, from al-Suddi, from Abu Malik regarding His saying: "Nay, but Allah has set a seal," meaning: Allah has sealed them.
[6227] al-Mundhir ibn Shadhan narrated to us, Hawdhah narrated to us, 'Awf narrated to us, he said: It has reached me regarding the saying of Allah the Almighty: "And they said: Our hearts are wrapped," he said: They said: Our hearts are vessels for goodness. So Allah belied them and said: "Nay, but Allah has set a seal upon them for their disbelief, so they do not believe except for a few."
[6228] Musa ibn Harun al-Tusi informed us in what he wrote to me, al-Husayn ibn Muhammad narrated to us, Shayban narrated to us, from Qatadah regarding His saying: "Nay, but Allah has set a seal upon them for their disbelief," he said: When the people altered the command of Allah, killed His messengers, disbelieved in His Book, and broke the covenant that was upon them, Allah set a seal upon their hearts when they did that.
His saying, the Almighty: "So they do not believe except for a few."
[6229] al-Hasan ibn Abi al-Rabi' narrated to us, 'Abd al-Razzaq informed us, Ma'mar informed us, from Qatadah, he said: None of them will believe except a few.
His saying, the Almighty: "And for their disbelief and their saying against Maryam a great slander."
[6230] My father narrated to us, Abu Salih narrated to us, Mu'awiyah ibn Salih narrated to me, from 'Ali ibn Abi Talhah, from Ibn 'Abbas: "And for their disbelief and their saying against Maryam a great slander," meaning: They accused her of adultery.
It was narrated from al-Suddi, Jubayr, and Muhammad ibn Ishaq the like of that.
His saying, the Almighty: "And their saying: We have killed the Messiah, 'Isa (Jesus), son of Maryam, the Messenger of Allah."
[6231] My father narrated to us, 'Abd al-'Aziz ibn al-Mughirah narrated to us, Yazid informed us, from Sa'id, from Qatadah regarding His saying:

٦٢٢٥ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو سَعِيدٍ الأَشَجُّ، ثنا أَبُو أُسَامَةَ، عَنِ النَّضْرِ بْنِ عَرَبِيٍّ، عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ: قُلُوبُنَا غُلْفٌ قَالَ: عَلَيْهَا طَابَعٌ.
قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: بَلْ طَبَعَ اللَّهُ عَلَيْهَا بِكُفْرِهِمْ.
٦٢٢٦ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي مُوسَى، ثنا هَارُونُ بْنُ حَاتِمٍ، ثنا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ أَبِي حَمَّادٍ، عَنْ أَسْبَاطٍ، عَنِ السُّدِّيِّ، عَنْ أَبِي مَالِكٍ قَوْلَهُ: بَلْ طَبَعَ اللَّهُ يَعْنِي:
خَتَمَ اللَّهُ.
٦٢٢٧ - حَدَّثَنَا الْمُنْذِرُ بْنُ شَاذَانَ، ثنا هَوْذَةُ، ثنا عَوْفٌ قَالَ: بَلَغَنِي فِي قَوْلِ اللَّهِ تَعَالَى: وَقَالُوا قُلُوبَنَا غُلْفٌ قَالَ: قَالُوا: قُلُوبُنَا أَوْعِيَةٌ لِلْخَيْرِ فَأَكْذَبَهُمُ اللَّهُ وَقَالَ:
بَلْ طَبَعَ اللَّهُ عَلَيْهَا بِكُفْرِهِمْ فَلَا يؤمنون إلا قليلا.
٦٢٢٨ - أَخْبَرَنَا مُوسَى بْنُ هَارُونَ الطُّوسِيُّ فِيمَا كَتَبَ إِلَيَّ، ثنا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ، ثنا شَيْبَانُ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ قَوْلَهُ: بَلْ طَبَعَ اللَّهُ عَلَيْهَا بِكُفْرِهِمْ قَالَ: لَمَّا بَدَّلَ الْقَوْمُ أَمْرَ اللَّهِ وَقَتَلُوا رُسُلَهُ وَكَفَرُوا بِكِتَابِهِ وَنَقَضُوا الْمِيثَاقَ الَّذِي عَلَيْهِمْ، طَبَعَ اللَّهُ عَلَى قُلُوبِهِمْ حِينَ فَعَلُوا ذَلِكَ.
قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: فَلا يُؤْمِنُونَ إِلا قَلِيلا.
٦٢٢٩ - حَدَّثَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ أَبِي الرَّبِيعِ، أَنْبَأَ عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، أَنْبَأَ مَعْمَرٌ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ قَالَ:
لَا يُؤْمِنُ مِنْهُمْ إِلا قَلِيلٌ.
قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: وَبِكُفْرِهِمْ وَقَوْلِهِمْ عَلَى مَرْيَمَ بُهْتَانًا عَظِيمًا.
٦٢٣٠ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي، ثنا أَبُو صَالِحٍ، حَدَّثَنِي مُعَاوِيَةُ بْنُ صَالِحٍ، عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ أَبِي طَلْحَةَ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ: وَبِكُفْرِهِمْ وَقَوْلِهِمْ عَلَى مَرْيَمَ بُهْتَانًا عَظِيمًا يَعْنِي: أَنَّهُمْ رَمَوْهَا بِالزِّنَا.
وَرُوِيَ عَنِ السُّدِّيِّ، وَجُبَيْرٍ، وَمُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِسْحَاقَ نَحْوُ ذَلِكَ.
قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: وَقَوْلِهِمْ إِنَّا قَتَلْنَا الْمَسِيحَ عِيسَى ابْنَ مَرْيَمَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ
٦٢٣١ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي، ثنا عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ بْنُ الْمُغِيرَةِ، أَنْبَأَ يَزِيدُ، عَنْ سَعِيدٍ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ قَوْلَهُ:
