His saying, the Almighty: "By falsehood."
[6265] And by it, from Muqatil ibn Hayyan, regarding His saying: "By falsehood," he said: "Unjustly."
His saying, the Almighty: "And We have prepared for the disbelievers among them."
[6266] And by it, from Muqatil, regarding His saying: "And We have prepared for the disbelievers among them," he means: "From the Jews."
His saying, the Almighty: "A painful punishment."
[6267] Abu Zur'ah narrated to us, Minjab ibn al-Harith narrated to us, Bishr ibn 'Umarah informed us, from Abu Rawq, from al-Dahhak, from Ibn 'Abbas, regarding His saying: "A painful punishment," he says: "A grievous chastisement."
His saying, the Almighty: "But those firm in knowledge among them."
[6268] Muhammad ibn 'Awf al-Homsi narrated to us, Nu'aym ibn Hammad narrated to us, Fayyad al-Raqqi narrated to us, 'Abd Allah ibn Yazid narrated to us—and he had met the companions of the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, Anas, Abu al-Darda', and Abu Umamah—he said: Abu al-Darda' narrated to us that the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, was asked about those firm in knowledge, and he said: "Whoever is righteous in his oath, truthful in his speech, upright in his heart, and chaste in his belly and private parts, he is among those firm in knowledge."
[6269] Muhammad ibn 'Amr Junayj mentioned, Salamah narrated to us, from Muhammad ibn Ishaq, from Muhammad ibn Abi Muhammad, from 'Ikrimah or Sa'id ibn Jubayr, from Ibn 'Abbas, regarding His saying: "But those firm in knowledge among them," it was revealed concerning 'Abd Allah ibn Salam, Usayd ibn Sa'yah, Tha'labah ibn Sa'yah, and Asad ibn 'Ubayd, when they separated from the Jews and testified that what the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, brought was the truth from Allah, and that they find it written with them.
His saying, the Almighty: "And the believers believe in what has been revealed to you and what was revealed before you."
[6270] Muhammad ibn Yahya narrated to us, al-'Abbas informed us, Yazid ibn Zuray' narrated to us, Sa'id narrated to us, from Qatadah, regarding His saying: "But those firm in knowledge among them and the believers believe in what has been revealed to you and what was revealed before you," Allah made an exception for them from the People of the Scripture; so there were among them those who believed in Allah and what was revealed to them and what was revealed to the Prophet of Allah. They believe in it, affirm it, and know that it is the truth from their Lord."
قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: بِالْبَاطِلِ.
٦٢٦٥ - وَبِهِ عَنْ مُقَاتِلِ بْنِ حَيَّانَ قَوْلَهُ: بِالْبَاطِلِ قَالَ: ظُلْمًا.
قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: وَأَعْتَدْنَا لِلْكَافِرِينَ مِنْهُمْ.
٦٢٦٦ - وَبِهِ عَنْ مُقَاتِلٍ قَوْلَهُ: وَأَعْتَدْنَا لِلْكَافِرِينَ مِنْهُمْ يَعْنِي مِنَ الْيَهُودِ.
قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: عَذَابًا أَلِيمًا.
٦٢٦٧ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو زُرْعَةَ، ثنا مِنْجَابُ بْنُ الْحَارِثِ، أَنْبَأَ بِشْرُ بْنُ عُمَارَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي رَوْقٍ، عَنِ الضَّحَّاكِ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَوْلَهُ: عَذَابًا أَلِيمًا يَقُولُ: نَكَالا مُوجِعًا.
قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: لَكِنِ الرَّاسِخُونَ فِي الْعِلْمِ مِنْهُمْ.
٦٢٦٨ - حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَوْفٍ الْحِمْصِيُّ، ثنا نُعَيْمُ بْنُ حَمَّادٍ، ثنا فَيَّاضُ الرَّقِّيُّ، ثنا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ يَزِيدَ وَكَانَ قَدْ أَدْرَكَ أَصْحَابَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَسًا وَأَبَا الدَّرْدَاءِ، وَأَبَا أُمَامَةَ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الدَّرْدَاءِ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ سُئِلَ عَنِ الرَّاسِخِينَ فِي الْعِلْمِ، فَقَالَ: مَنْ بَرَّتْ يَمِينُهُ وَصَدَقَ لِسَانُهُ وَاسْتَقَامَ قَلْبُهُ وَمَنْ عَفَّ بَطْنُهُ وَفَرْجُهُ، فَهُوَ مِنَ الرَّاسِخِينَ فِي الْعِلْمِ.
٦٢٦٩ - ذَكَرَ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو زُنَيْجٌ، ثنا سَلَمَةُ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِسْحَاقَ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ أَبِي مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ، أَوْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَوْلَهُ: لَكِنِ الرَّاسِخُونَ فِي الْعِلْمِ مِنْهُمْ نَزَلَتْ فِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ سَلامٍ وَأُسَيْدِ بْنِ سُعَيَّةَ وَثَعْلَبَةَ بْنِ سُعَيَّةَ وَأَسَدِ بْنِ عُبَيْدٍ، حِينَ فَارَقُوا يَهُودَ وَشَهِدُوا أَنَّ الَّذِي جَاءَ بِهِ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ حَقٌّ مِنَ اللَّهِ، وَأَنَّهُمْ يَجِدُونَهُ مَكْتُوبًا عِنْدَهُمْ.
قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: وَالْمُؤْمِنُونَ يُؤْمِنُونَ بِمَا أُنْزِلَ إِلَيْكَ وَمَا أُنْزِلَ مِنْ قَبْلِكَ.
٦٢٧٠ - حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى، أَنْبَأَ الْعَبَّاسُ، ثنا يَزِيدُ بْنُ زُرَيْعٍ، ثنا سَعِيدٌ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ قَوْلَهُ: لَكِنِ الرَّاسِخُونَ فِي الْعِلْمِ مِنْهُمْ وَالْمُؤْمِنُونَ يُؤْمِنُونَ بِمَا أُنْزِلَ إِلَيْكَ وَمَا أُنْزِلَ مِنْ قَبْلِكَ اسْتَثْنَى اللَّهُ مِنْهُمْ ثُنْيَةً مِنْ أَهْلِ الْكِتَابِ فَكَانَ مِنْهُمْ مَنْ يُؤْمِنُ بِاللَّهِ وَمَا أُنْزِلَ عَلَيْهِمْ وَمَا أُنْزِلَ عَلَى نَبِيِّ اللَّهِ، يُؤْمِنُونَ بِهِ وَيُصَدِّقُونَهُ وَيَعْلَمُونَ أَنَّهُ الْحَقُّ مِنْ رَبِّهِمْ.
