Abu Khalid, from al-Sha'bi, from 'Abd Allah ibn al-Harith, from Ka'b who said: "Allah spoke to Moses twice."
[6289] My father narrated to us, from al-Qasim ibn Yaman, Khalaf ibn Khalifa informed us, from Abu Wa'il—meaning Ibn Dawud—regarding the saying of Allah the Almighty: "And Allah spoke to Moses with [direct] speech"—he said: "Repeatedly."
[6290] My father narrated to us, Muhammad ibn 'Isa narrated to us, Abu Tumaylah narrated to us, from Abu 'Ismah regarding the saying of Allah the Almighty: "And Allah spoke to Moses with [direct] speech"—he said: "Face to face."
His saying, the Almighty: "Messengers as bringers of good tidings."
[6291] My father narrated to us, 'Abd al-Rahman ibn Salih narrated to us, 'Abd al-Rahman ibn Muhammad ibn 'Ubayd Allah al-Fazari narrated to us, Shayban al-Nahwi narrated to us, Qatadah informed me, from 'Ikrimah, from Ibn 'Abbas regarding His saying: "Bringers of good tidings"—he said: "Bringers of good tidings of Paradise."
His saying, the Almighty: "And as warners."
[6292] And through the same chain from Ibn 'Abbas regarding His saying: "A warner"—he said: "A warner against the Fire."
His saying, the Almighty: "So that there will be..."
[6293] Musa ibn Abi Musa al-Khatmi narrated to us, Harun ibn Hatim narrated to us, 'Abd al-Rahman ibn Abi Hammad narrated to us, from Asbat, from al-Suddi, from Abu Malik regarding His saying: "So that"—meaning: "In order that not."
His saying, the Almighty: "So that there will not be for the people any argument against Allah after the messengers"—the verse.
[6294] Ahmad ibn 'Uthman ibn Hakim narrated to us, Ahmad ibn Mufaddal narrated to us, Asbat narrated to us, from al-Suddi regarding His saying: "So that there will not be for the people any argument against Allah after the messengers, so that they might say: 'You did not send to us a messenger.'"
His saying, the Almighty: "But Allah bears witness to that which He has revealed to you."
[6295] Muhammad ibn Yahya narrated to us, Abu Ghassan Muhammad ibn 'Amr informed us, Salamah narrated to us, from Muhammad ibn Ishaq, Muhammad ibn Abi Muhammad—the freed slave of the family of Zayd ibn Thabit—narrated to me, and said: "A group of Jews entered upon the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, and he said to them: 'By Allah, you surely know that I am the Messenger of Allah to you from Allah.' They said: 'We do not know, and we do not testify to that.' So Allah revealed regarding that: 'But Allah bears witness to that which He has revealed to you. He has sent it down with His knowledge, and the angels bear witness [as well]. And sufficient is Allah as Witness.'"
أَبِي خَالِدٍ عَنِ الشَّعْبِيِّ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ الْحَارِثِ، عَنْ كَعْبٍ قَالَ: كَلَّمَ اللَّهُ مُوسَى مَرَّتَيْنِ.
٦٢٨٩ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي، عَنِ الْقَاسِمِ بْنِ يَمَانٍ، أَنْبَأَ خَلَفُ بْنُ خَلِيفَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي وَائِلٍ يَعْنِي ابْنَ دَاوُدَ فِي قَوْلِ اللَّهِ تَعَالَى: وَكَلَّمَ اللَّهُ مُوسَى تَكْلِيمًا قَالَ: مِرَارًا.
٦٢٩٠ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عِيسَى، ثنا أَبُو تُمَيْلَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي عِصْمَةَ فِي قَوْلِ اللَّهِ تَعَالَى: وَكَلَّمَ اللَّهُ مُوسَى تَكْلِيمًا قال: مُشَافَهَةً.
قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: رُسُلا مُبَشِّرِينَ.
٦٢٩١ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي، ثنا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ صَالِحٍ، ثنا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ الْفَزَارِيُّ، ثنا شَيْبَانَ النَّحْوِيِّ، أَخْبَرَنِي قَتَادَةُ، عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَوْلَهُ: مُبَشِّرًا قال: مُبَشِّرًا بِالْجَنَّةِ.
قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: وَمُنْذِرِينَ.
٦٢٩٢ - وَبِهِ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَوْلَهُ: نَذِيرًا قَالَ: نَذِيرًا مِنَ النَّارِ.
قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: لِئَلا يَكُونَ.
٦٢٩٣ - حَدَّثَنَا مُوسَى بْنُ أَبِي مُوسَى الْخَطْمِيُّ، ثنا هَارُونُ بْنُ حَاتِمٍ، ثنا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ ابْنُ أَبِي حَمَّادٍ، عَنْ أَسْبَاطٍ، عَنِ السُّدِّيِّ، عَنْ أَبِي مَالِكٍ قَوْلَهُ: لِئَلا يَعْنِي: لِكَيْلا.
قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: لِئَلا يَكُونَ لِلنَّاسِ عَلَى اللَّهِ حُجَّةٌ بعد الرسل الآيَةَ.
٦٢٩٤ - حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ حَكِيمٍ، ثنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مُفَضَّلٍ، ثنا أَسْبَاطٌ عَنِ السُّدِّيِّ قَوْلَهُ: لِئَلا يَكُونَ لِلنَّاسِ عَلَى اللَّهِ حُجَّةٌ بَعْدَ الرُّسُلِ فَيَقُولُونَ مَا أَرْسَلْتَ إِلَيْنَا رَسُولا.
قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: لَكِنِ اللَّهُ يَشْهَدُ بِمَا أَنْزَلَ إِلَيْكَ.
٦٢٩٥ - حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى، أَنْبَأَ أَبُو غَسَّانَ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو، ثنا سَلَمَةُ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِسْحَاقَ، حَدَّثَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَبِي مُحَمَّدٍ مَوْلَى آلِ زَيْدِ بْنِ ثَابِتٍ قَالَ: دَخَّلَ عَلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ جَمَاعَةٌ مِنْ يَهُودَ، فَقَالَ لَهُمْ: أَمَا وَاللَّهِ إِنَّكُمْ لَتَعْلَمُونَ أَنِّي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ إِلَيْكُمْ مِنَ اللَّهِ. فَقَالُوا: مَا نَعْلَمُ وَمَا نَشْهَدُ عَلَيْهِ، فَأَنْزَلَ اللَّهُ
