Translation · EN

regarding that: "But Allah bears witness to that which He has revealed to you. He has sent it down with His knowledge, and the angels bear witness [as well]. And sufficient is Allah as Witness."

His saying, the Almighty: "He has sent it down with His knowledge, and the angels bear witness [as well]."

[6296] 'Ali ibn al-Husayn narrated to us, al-Hasan ibn Sahl al-Ja'fari and Hazaz ibn al-Mubarak narrated to us, they both said: 'Imran ibn 'Uyaynah narrated to us, 'Ata' ibn al-Sa'ib narrated to us, he said: "Abu 'Abd al-Rahman al-Sulami taught me the Quran. Whenever one of us would recite the Quran, he would say: 'You have attained the knowledge of Allah, so there is no one today better than you except through action,' then he would recite: 'He has sent it down with His knowledge, and the angels bear witness [as well]. And sufficient is Allah as Witness.'"

His saying, the Almighty: "Indeed, those who disbelieve and avert [people] from the way of Allah have certainly gone far astray."

[6297] Al-Hajjaj ibn Hamzah narrated to us, Shababah narrated to us, Warqa' narrated to us, from Ibn Abi Najih, from Mujahid regarding His saying: "From the way of Allah"—meaning: "From the truth."

His saying, the Almighty: "Indeed, those who disbelieve and commit wrong."

[6298] My father narrated to us, Muqatil ibn Muhammad narrated to us, Waki' narrated to us, from Sufyan, from Mansur, from Ibrahim regarding His saying: "And commit wrong"—he said: "The wrong (zulm): is immorality (al-fahishah)."

His saying, the Almighty: "And [neither] for guiding them to a path, except the path of Hell."

[6299] My father narrated to us, al-Hakam ibn Musa narrated to us, Marwan ibn Mu'awiyah narrated to us, Juwaybir informed us, from al-Dahhak, that 'Abd Allah ibn Mas'ud used to say: "The 'sa'ud' (ascent) of Hell is a smooth rock."

His saying, the Almighty: "Abiding therein."

[6300] Abu Zur'ah narrated to us, Yahya narrated to us, Ibn Lahi'ah narrated to us, 'Ata' narrated to me, from Sa'id ibn Jubayr regarding the saying of Allah the Almighty: "Abiding therein"—meaning: "They will not die."

His saying, the Almighty: "Forever. And that, for Allah, is easy."

[6301] Muhammad ibn Yahya narrated to us, Abu Ghassan Muhammad ibn 'Amr Zunayj informed us, Salamah narrated to us, he said: Muhammad ibn Ishaq said: Muhammad ibn Abi Muhammad narrated to me, from 'Ikrimah, or Sa'id ibn Jubayr, from Ibn 'Abbas: "Abiding therein forever"—he said: "It has no cessation."
